    Chicken banh mi

Stopped by this spot and it did not disappoint Online ordering made pickup super easy and smooth, no waiting around. The shop itself was clean and inviting, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Service was fast, but you can tell they still care about quality. The sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and packed with goodness on perfectly soft bread. So good. Only street parking available, but it's totally worth it. Definitely coming back!

I enjoy their Banh Mis more than their Pho! Was pretty tasty but to be completely honest I have had better. Something about it is different than other personal faves I've had. However the restaurant is very homey, family-feel, and workers are very kind and attentive.

Great authentic Vietnamese restaurant to eat at! I had their beef pho and it was pretty good. I really enjoyed the broth and the noodles and meat were prepared nicely. Their portioning was good, and the pricing of the whole menu was fair! The service was good. The employee was attentive and helpful, and the food did not take long to make. The ambiance of the restaurant is decent. There's limited seating and the place is a bit small and it feels tight. Overall, I definitely enjoyed the food here and I'd recommend going here!

This is a great place to go for a quick lunch! I ordered a bbq pork & egg bahn mi sandwich to go, and the order was ready quickly, it was cheap ($8.50!), and delicious. The flavor of the bbq pork was so flavorful (a little bit sweet) and the bread was perfectly toasted, and added a nice crunch. There is plenty of seating inside and service seems very quick for in person orders as well. I love that it is also on the cheaper side but still has decent portions.

Pho w/ beef. The broth leaned more on the savory side with a nice touch of oil leftover. The prices were the cheapest I've seen compared to any other pho place but it only came with brisket slices. I did miss the tendons and tripe parts. Asked for extra thai basil and apparently I took the last one. The noodles were so clean I didn't see any starch come from them when I broke it apart which is a great sign. Got the large size- large pho typically gouges me if I eat it all but I cleaned my bowl and didn't feel gouges. It was the right amount but a tad smaller than expected but enough to satisfy after a 6 mi run I think I'll be back to try their banh mi since the plate that they serve it on is a vibe and possibly the banh canh since it's irregular + No nonsense pho ambiance

This was a solid bowl of pho! Great beef flavor, comes out piping hot. Noodles perfectly cooked and has a good amount of meat. Rice dishes also are really good! They are very friendly here; great prices, makes for a quick, casual place to eat pho.

Good price and pretty good banh mi! If visiting you'll have to pay for some street parking. There was more meat than appears in the photo. I saw others getting pho and other items. Looks like a good affordable spot.

I come here so much that I lost count. This is a staple in the heart of University district and it's obvious why. The food here is so good and for a great price. So much great dishes too. The owners are also really friendly and nice. This time I got the Spicy beef noodle soup or also know as bun bo hue. One of my favorite Vietnamese noodle dishes and they do it so well here!! Perfect umami flavor and super yummy with loads of seasoning. This is a dish you have to try out for yourself. I also had leftovers for another meal, a two in one meal which is great for us college students on a budget.

Ordered the pork banh mi and it was okay. The bread was definitely soft and had no crunch. The flavor of the grilled pork was good, and they use mayo instead of pate fyi. Portions are on the smaller size compared to other places I've been to, but I can see how it's a solid option for students since it's near the Ave.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Saigon Deli. The owner is SO sweet. I originally came here because we ordered for here for catering with one of my college groups, and their banh mi was SO GOOD. I come here by myself sometimes and get a banh mi or spring rolls. I'm sure their pho is good too. If you order over the phone it's easy for pickup. Tip: bring cash so you don't have to pay the credit card fee. Tbh even with the credit card fee it's still pretty cheap. So much bang for your buck!!!

Saigon Deli is such a staple. I love getting the bahn mi and wonton soup combo with a side of the shrimp spring rolls. The food is tasty, and it's for a great price! My first year living in Seattle I was super close to the restaurant which was so great. I used to go more consistently and the workers would remember my roommate and I's orders! Overall, the people are super kind and the environment is comfortable.

    Chicken pho
    Aylish T.

Portions are decent for the price and the pho really hits on a cold day, but the chicken pho was a little overcooked and tough to chew. I would have loved a richer broth and more tender chicken. Feeling like it lacks depth. Pretty quick service, just a super busy and slightly understaffed place. They're whipping out orders like crazy. Limited seating indoors. Good to meet up for lunch or order ahead.

The lady working here is so sweet! This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall type spot, and we almost couldn't find it when looking for it. The inside is quite small with a few tables put closely together in the room, and the entire space is all tight. I ordered the pork banh mi, which came on a toasted baguette with marinated pork, pickled radish and carrot, and a couple other classic toppings. The pork was delicious - super well marinated, tender, and mixed with the mayo made the sandwich super good. There weren't enough pickled veggies as I would have liked, but of the amount there it was good. We also got an egg noodle soup which was great too - the broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. For a quick bite, I would definitely recommend this spot! Nothing super mindblowing, but a solid place for food.

The Chinese name, 全記麵家, has little to do with the name Mike, but is nevertheless an excellent choice for anyone in the area. The staff is very Cantonese through and through. It is a cash only establishment and their menu is heavy on the noodles, be it in soup form or dry. There isn't a ton of room for large groups, but the turnover is quick and thus the weights are usually quite minimal. Service is very good overall and super friendly. I would highly not recommend using their bathroom, as it's tiny, cramped, and not in the best condition. The noodle soups vary from wonton noodles to fishballs. They also specialize in beef brisket and fishballs, making this feel like a bit of a Hong Kong style cafe. Most of the soups average out to be $14-16, depending on size. It's a joy to watch them assemble the bowls in lightning quick fashion. Wontons are excellent. They're plump with just enough skin for texture and are complemented by a fragrant soup and very little skimpage on the noodle (#1). The large dumpling (aka "sui kau") is an excellent wonton alternative for those looking for similar textures. The beef brisket is tender and they also have a dedicated section for just congee. There aren't a lot of places like Mike's anymore, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second for an opportunity to come back. In fact, I'll make sure it's part of the Seattle rotation (#2) for whenever I'm back. __________ (#1) Read: very good portions. (#2) Unless of course, I'm on my way to Vancouver BC.

Good noodles, good chashu, and delicious broth on their "Original" ramen (which is pretty much Tonkotsu, I think). It's lacking in nothing. I also appreciate the way they structure the menu: most toppings are optional (like egg and seaweed) in exchange for a modest base price. Yet even when you add stuff back in, the sum is still reasonable, e.g. with added seaweed and a shot of extra noodles, my bowl came out right around $20 after tax/tip. Service is quick and courteous. This place has only one problem: the wait is damn eternal. I waited 50+ minutes, and the only reason I got in that _fast_ was because I came solo and qualified for counter seating. The couple ahead of me in line waited at least 90... and this was on a Monday! But that's hardly the restaurant's fault.

I felt like the rice was a bit lacking in flavor, and they only have the standard soy sauce, not the ones in a sauce tray that is usually a bit sweeter. The salt and pepper fried fish filet was good - definitely recommend that for the taste and value. The noodle soup was also good - the wontons were okay but I loved the beef brisket. This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.
