This review is just based on the mango frosted Swirl drink that I ordered. I passed by this shop and the mango frosted caught my eyes. I ordered one and when I looked at the process of the making it I just like did I made av wrong choice? After it is done I am like this doesn't looks like the drink on the picture. About the taste I expect a bit sour and sweet and it is just sweet. I also expect mango taste and I just don't taste any mango. I just think I made wrong decision to order based on the picture without checking. I just cannot recommend this drink as I threw away most of it away. Out of many visits, I think I've gotten food poisoning once before which was not fun, but the food is good value and delicious, so I kept coming back. Fast, relaxed service with self serve utensils. This was highly disappointing. Beforehand, I assumed that this would be a banh mi and maybe simple com tam restaurant. However, this experience was comparable to Chipotle-very quick/sloppy and unauthentic. I ordered the pork plate, which vaguely resembled Vietnamese grilled pork + com tam/broken rice. We went later in the day with no line. Yet, the employees still slopped and spilled the ingredients into the small container. I typically never complain about com tam, but this was far from it. Unlike the actual dish, everything tasted too greasy. The pork should be seasoned and juicy, but instead, it was mostly fat and drenched in a Korean-like sauce. The broken rice ended up soaked in the sauce, too. Normally, the vegetables are cut larger and eaten on the side, but these veggies are shredded and diced. This is ok. However, I would have loved for the carrots to be pickled like do chua. The only thing I liked was the fried egg. On top of that, for a small bowl, it was quite expensive. Overall, I suggest a more intentional approach and cleaner flavors. read more

The sunny side up style egg just perfectly complete the taste, texture of every bite. I cannot wait to go back to try out the other proteins although the chicken was amazing. As a Vietnamese person, this is possibly the worst banh mi I've ever had. The bread, which is essential to the identity of this kind of sandwich, is entirely wrong. It's like a hoagie roll. I had their banh mi at the SLU location last year and that bread wasn't great either but this is on another level. There are Vietnamese bakeries and delis that make Vietnamese baguettes in Seattle that can supply so this is not excusable imo. Other Vietnamese restaurants can get the right bread, why not here. As for the fillings, it's ok. Ingredients are fresh. Not the most flavorful but it works. I also had a rice bowl here, reminiscent of com tam. Rice bowl was much better, though fish sauce wasn't the best either. Workers were kind and speedy so I gave a star for that. At the end of the day, it's like chipotle to Mexican food. Instead of giving me the napkins that she literally would not have to take a step to get, she inconvenienced us by having us squeeze by people to get them and then to squeeze back to our tiny table. It is a college place, so the friendliness is not overwhelming or abundant. The meat inside was poor quality and we had to remove about 1/3 because it was mostly fat. The sandwich was wrapped with the sauce on the outside of the bread, so it was difficult to hold and very messy. We did not finish our lunch. Not worth a return visit. read more
