I hear all the time that Sizzle n crunch is like Chipotle but for Viet cuisine and I feel like it's accurate. Definitely not your most authentic Vietnamese food but it's crazyyy good. From my experience the workers are always generous with the servings and there's plenty of seating in and outside the restaurant.

Although the line was long the food was delicious, we got a chicken Bahn mi, tofu bowl and Thai milk tea. The Thai milk tea was not filled all the way and was mostly ice:( it was good but not worth $6.99 with no toppings.

It wasn't sizzle nor crunchy lol Deli/ subway style way of getting your banh mi, nothing wrong with that but the bread wasn't toasted... so there was definitely no crunch and was cold. The grilled pork itself was fine has texture but the pork belly was sad and had some kick to it ... it was very it textured and all I could taste was the slight kick but none of the usually umami flavor that comes the the pork fat... For $12 a banh mi there are definitely better places, no pate, no crisp bread .... Very do not recommend ... maybe their plate dishes are better?

The food here is fantastic. It's either a sandwiches or plates of food Vietnamese style. I ended up going to this place because the line was long outside, which is always a great sign. There's some seats to the left of the register, but not a lot.

My daughter brought this home for me to try and it's delicious! It's pouring with flavor especially after pouring the sauces that it came with. The green house sauce is just delicious. I can't wait to try their other dishes.

A friend and I ordered take out and it was ready within 10 minutes! Super fast and delicious food. We both enjoyed the chicken rice bowl with egg, the fish sauce was a great addition to the veggies! It's fresh, quick and filling! This is a great healthy pick me up if you need something that's convenient. We didn't try their drinks but next time I'm in the area I would love to try their lychee ice tea!

Decently priced Asian flavored food that hits the spot. I got the pork rice bowl which was about $11. The pork has a wonderful char flavor, super tender as well and chopped into chunks for each bite. I love the mix salad to help freshen up the taste and bring some brightness. The veggies are fresh and crisp as well. I like some spiciness so I got jalepenos in mine but next time I would omit this because the seeds get everywhere and surprised me with very strong spiciness in random bites. You HAVE to get their fish sauce with your order! It's the perfect mixture of sweet, sour, and umami. I ordered online but I noticed when picking up the order in person that the online price was about $3-$4 more before any service fees (on Fantusn at least) So for those who like to order beforehand and pick up in store, just be aware.

I just loved this place , so much so that I had my dinner every day on my visit to Seattle . Was conveniently located near my hotel in downtown . The portion size was very good , the staff was helpful and friendly, the taste was awesome and the ambiance was fantastic . They have nice sitting area right outside and plenty of street parking . Absolutely recommended

Amazing fast casual joint for Viet. Heard a lot of good things about this place so I'm glad I got yo try it. I got the Grilled Pork Rice Bowl and it was sooo delicious. I love the balance of rice, meat, and veg. There were some straight up pieces of fat, which I didn't love, but they give a massive portion overall so I can overlook that. The workers are also super friendly. Will definitely come back!

Sizzle and Crunch Vietnamese grill is a great, healthy version of Vietnamese street food. There are options from vermicelli bowls, rice bowls and banh mi sandwiches. I got the rice bowl. If you are familiar with Chipotle, it's similar where you have a base and protein and the toppings are your choosing and free. It's a great deal and reasonably priced. The food is pretty good and filling. The service wasn't exceptional...pretty basic. I wouldn't consider the restaurant a place to dine in.

Had lunch here with a few friends, and it was so amazing! Had never been to this place before, but I had heard so many great things. You order at the front at the cashier, and it's very fast. I got a bowl with chicken and a lot of other veggies, half rice half salad. It was extremely filling and I couldn't even finish half the bowl. A great price to considering how much they put in. They were also very generous with the meat portions. It's a pretty small place but inside there are some tables in the back. So it might be hard to find a table if you have a large group and it's during rush-hour. Overall, the service was really good as well.

Grilled beef rice bowl with all the toppings!

One of my favorite food spots on the ave. It's great fast food that feels fresh and healthy. The portions are so good I got so much beef and vegetables in my bowl. And the cilantro sauce on top is amazing. I'm excited to come back here!

Amazing Vietnamese restaurant near the university! A small place with some tables in the back. Got lucky and snatched a large table for our group. Ordered at the front, and the staff was friendly! Got the grilled chicken bowl, and it was SO enormous. Was not able to finish it all. The meat was fresh, as were the veggies. The egg on top pulled it altogether. The sauce was really good too!! Also ordered a lemonade, which was very tasty. For the price and portion size, this place is amazing!!

Do they still have the pate spread? Last I checked I didn't see it.

No pate spread, and I'm sad about it. They used to, along with cut ham that made it really authentic. Maybe it was getting too expensive.

The Lagman was fantastic - hand pulled noodles with perfect texture and spic. Goulash was comforting and filling. Samosa wrapping was layered so you can tell a lot of work went into each piece. We went for lunch middle of the week and every table was full for lunch. None of the customers were speaking English which I think is a ++++++ and speaks to authenticity of the food. Front of house left a bit to be desired - very impersonal service and seemed a bit frazzled - this contrasted with the warm food and what is portrayed on their social media content. However, the deliciousness of the food makes up for it.

That excitement is exactly what brought us back a second time, and we even took plov and samsa to go for our road trip to Yellowstone. That says everything about how much we loved the food. The plov was outstanding -- perfectly seasoned, rich, and made with obvious care. Samsa came out golden and flaky, just right. Boso lagman was a dry-fried noodle dish with bold, satisfying flavor -- though more meat would make it perfect. Manty was solid comfort food, simple and honest. And the shurpa -- that soup was something else entirely. Deep, warming, and soulful, every spoonful felt like it was made with love. Food? Honestly, ten out of ten. No question. Service is where things fell short. The soup arrived last instead of first -- the team knew the order was wrong, yet refused to cancel it. The very next day they admitted it should have come first. Here is what made it worse: you tip in advance before even tasting anything. You pay that tip in good faith, trusting the experience will match. When it doesn't -- when mistakes happen and nobody takes responsibility -- that advance tip feels like a betrayal. You paid for something you never fully received. We went for the beef tartare, Chinese scallion pancake, smoked tofu, kimchi trio, spicy rice cake, Chinese broccoli, "that" short rib steak, Kalbi burger, and the kombu cured mackerel. We started with a dozen of the shucked oysters, which were perfectly prepared and not overly briny. From there we tried the Bò Lá Lốt and is instantly my new go-to dish whenever I come back. I'd never had it before and now I'm already craving it again. For mains, we ordered the Lemongrass Clay Pot Chicken and the Drunken Chicken. The Lemongrass Chicken had incredible flavor, especially the broth, which was so good it's worth taking home if you don't finish it. The only downside was navigating all the bones. The Drunken Chicken ended up being my favorite main dish. It reminded me of sweet-and-sour chicken, but without the overwhelming sweetness that usually takes over the dish. A quick heads up: definitely make a reservation if you can because this place gets BUSY. We lucked out and snagged the last four seats at the bar. Even with the crowd, the service was friendly, attentive, and the food came out surprisingly fast. I ordered the catfish claypot, which came highly recommended, and it truly delivered. The flavor was rich, savory, and comforting with a beautiful presentation. My one note: order a small side of jasmine rice. The dish does not come with it, and while the claypot stands strong on its own, the sauce deserves something to soak it up. You will want every last bite. The location is charming, tucked into a quaint neighborhood across from a cozy coffee shop and bookstore. The restaurant itself is spacious with a well stocked bar. One side feels ideal for families and larger groups, while the other side leans more date night or casual drinks. It strikes a nice balance. Pricing runs on the higher side, especially since entrees do not include rice or sides and portions are not particularly large. It is something to keep in mind when ordering. Service was decent and attentive, though I would have appreciated stronger menu knowledge. Simple questions like whether a dish is gluten free or whether it includes rice or vegetables should be easy to answer. A bit more confidence and familiarity would elevate the experience. I also would have appreciated seeing Vietnamese representation at the front of house, given the cuisine. Would I return? Yes. The food is good and the space is inviting. I am just not in a huge rush, as the overall experience did not fully match the quality of the dish itself.

Simply put, lunch is much more casual and affordable than dinner (You order lunch scanning the QR code at the table). If you're on a budget, you can eat lunch here for less than $20. I went here for lunch twice during my business trip last month and here's what I ordered: - Seafood Tofu Soup - $17.50 - A seafood soondoobu (순두부) with a generous helping of soft tofu, shrimp, mussels and clam, served with rice. Delicious, refreshing and not spicy-I bet they could make it spicy if you asked. I enjoyed the texture from the cabbage bits. - Seolleongtang (설렁탕) - $15.50 - Oxtail bone broth served with potato starch noodles and brisket, comes with salt and green onion already added(typically doesn't at other Korean restaurants). High-quality ingredients and flavor, a great comfort food with a generous serving of brisket. - Shaved ice dessert (빙수) - $9.00 - A great combination of cinnamon, ginger cream and fried rice puffs. Not at Paju. They are Koreans elevating Korean dishes. The dishes are refined and well-honed. Their creativity shows they know what they are doing. Plating is thoughtful. The restaurant itself is modernly elegant, great for date nights. Note the restaurant is quiet and elegant; perhaps they have a private room for loud celebrations. Staff was helpful with my questions. Food was available in a timely manner. The Food: Octopus, $27 - 5 Stars Served with smoked trout roe and dashima beurrie blanc sauce, this dish is visually attractive and absolutely delicious! One of our top dishes of the night. Paju Fried Rice, $27 - 4 Stars Cooked with kimchi, bacon, squid ink, and quail egg, this dish is one of their most popular dishes. I find squid ink to have a subtle earthy type of sea-umami flavor. The bacon and kimchi are a touch stronger in this combination. It's a good dish, but amongst our five dishes, this one ranked the lowest. Mushrooms, $23 - 5 Stars Served with parmesan cheese shaved so thin it's translucent, white kimchi, and truffle aioli, this dish is the bomb! Excellent for the mushroom lovers, it might convert mushroom haters, too. Lol. Another top dish of the night. Branzino Gui, $51 - 4 Stars Served with four banchan, this dish stands out for its execution - impeccably grilled and plated. The fish is very tender and perfectly cooked. I do think it is a bit plain for the price. Branzino is fairly common in different parts of the world. Ranked 4th for the night. Duck - 5 Stars Duck breast is served with a slice of duck and pistachio pastry plus four banchan. The duck is super tender. The pastry is clever utilizing other bits of duck meat. The simple sauce is very important, adding flavor to the pastry. Also delicious.

I went two days in a row with friends to try a few different items. This place is great, all of us (4 of us) agree that we'd definitely come back again and again. It's a fairly small restaurant, but they are very accommodating for small parties and try to keep a couple tables open for smaller groups. Groups of 4+ need a reservation. The atmosphere is very quaint and intimate. The people dining next to me leaned over when they saw my food and asked what I got, and that felt very natural (I'm sure it doesn't happen all the time, but it was nice). The service was good. They are kind and welcoming and helpful. Now for the food... first night, my friends and I got the spicy pork bulgogi and (not pictured) the regular bulgogi as an entree, as well as the jeon sampler as an appetizer (which came with a fish and kimchi, as well as a scallion pancake like dish. It was VERY good. I am not super familiar with korean food other than kbbq, so I have nothing to compare it to. However, it was excellent. I loved the spicy pork (it will be my go to). The rice, salad, and miso soup were excellent with it as well. Afterward, I felt satisfied but not absolutely stuffed. Night 2, my friend and I got the Japchae with chicken, the pork mandoo, and I got the salt & pepper pork belly. The pork mandoo was really good, one of the better pan fried dumplings I've ever had. I'm a pork belly fiend, and it was good, I enjoyed it, but the spicy pork was much better. I saw other people get the kimchi fried rice and that looked amazing, as well as the bibimbap in the stone (or clay? i can't remember) pot. I'll definitely be back to try those. With both appetizers, I wish there was a little more, but they're starters, they aren't supposed to be huge, so I was ok with it. Overall, it's on the edge of madison park proper, what's not to like about the location? The food is great, the service is great, the atmosphere is very nice. Highly recommend.
