Pork Banh Mi (grilled)
Hazel J.

Really great banh mi Got the grilled pork as is - 5 stars, crispy bread, lots of meat, good pickled stuff on top and also had a nice pate spread. Would come back for more!

Not quite a banh mi from the oc in california but holy heck do they use good tofu in the tofu banh mi. I'm a convert and will probably not only be getting many more tofu banh mis, but will be comparing them to this one endlessly. And look at how filled it is. All the good stuff

Was craving some boba and found Vietlicious on Yelp! I decided to try the Tiger Sugar Milk Tea Boba and wow, I was very impressed. It had the right amount of sweetness, brown sugar boba was the perfect chewy texture. Barista was very nice and service was quick. Cost was around $8.50

The bahn mis were both excellent! I had the tofu and my partner had the pork. As a note for vegetarians, make sure you select no pate to make it vegetarian. The boba was pretty good but was a bit too sweet for me. The service was speedy and it was a solid little spot to eat a quick meal or grab and go.

Ordered a Combo, got the Vermicelli Salad with Grilled pork and Shrimps! Wasn't mad about it at all.

I've had trouble finding incredible food in Seattle. Vietlicoous did NOT disappoint one bit. Being from The Bay Area, we have super yummy, pretty affordable all varieties of Asian food. Vietlicious was made fresh, with wonderful portions, and was the first place I've truly ENJOYED eating at in Seattle. My beau was also happy to find the Vietnamese Iced Coffee he's grown fond of finding all throughout Silicon Valley. Parking was tough, since its located just right below the hospital, but if the thought of possibly getting ticketed or towed doesn't scare you, then there are lots of places right on the street. I came right around the lunch rush, but they were beyond quick at getting every order out. I'd definitely put this place on your list of eats if you're looking for a healthy, tasty meal in Seattle.

-- location -- in front of the hospital, next to Gyro Saj. It faces the street, so don't wander into the hospital or parking garage. -- experience -- ordered online at noon and within 30 min, it was ready for pick up. Walked into the shop, went to cash register and they retrieved the order for me. -- order -- one vermicelli salad with grilled pork and egg rolls (no peanuts), and one vermicelli salad with lemongrass chicken. You get a choice of peanut sauce or fish sauce. We got fish sauce. Each plate was $15.18 -- overall -- not bad, I like the portion size. The fish is good and on the sweet side. It is missing mint, perilla leaves, and chili. The chicken was sliced pretty thin. I think the lemongrass flavor could be more, but still good (not dry).

Great tasting Banh Mi. The pho is nice and light. Lots of veggies with the vegan option. Parking is limited however.

I found a large and disgusting looking union skin cooked in with the pork in my bahn mi. Very unsanitary.

this sandwich was highly impressive as the main part of the…read moresandwich, it was pretty necessary that the pork be cooked to near-perfection, and i have to say it was here it gave off a deep, brown-ish color, which showed the extent of it's cooking and marination. It wasn't quite incredibly tender, but the marinade added an absolute ton of flavor. more importantly, it was present plentifully throughout the sandwich, so practically every bite came filled with pork I also have to mention how packed together the ingredients are between the buns. when you start eating, it's inevitable that a quarter of the ingredients will fall onto the wrap below, leaving a nice secondary meal to finish off after the sandwich is done. the sandwich is packed incredibly tight during the wrapping process, but it unravels a bit while eating. for me, the major highlights of this meal was the onions and the aioli Starting with the onions, these may be the best I've ever had on a sandwich. They're caramelized amazingly, placed onto the sandwich in astoundingly large pieces, are crunchy, and there's just a lot of them. They're just wonderful both texturally and taste-wise. This sandwich is absolutely lathered with aioli - practically dripping with it. This boosted the overall flavor so much, especially because this aioli was addictingly good. In my experience, the amount of sauce has been directly proportional to how much I enjoyed a sandwich, and when the sauce is this good - it's even on the top of the bun! - i absolutely loved it Somehow the lettuce stayed crunchy despite all the otherwise wetness going on in the sandwich. Props for that The jalapenos were great as well for that extra bit of spicy - I would've loved to have more of them while the bread was toasted well, the one downside was i thought it was pretty hard and tough, which made chewing kind of difficult. I found my jaw to be pretty tired at the end after eating this. I would've much preferred a softer roll that's easier to bite into I've had similar sandwiches from Paseo and Bongos, and in my opinion this does edge out both of those Comparing to Paseo, the sandwich there has way more oil, making it more sloppy and I do like the bread there a lot better, but the pork feels richer and better marinated here (although less fatty), and the onions are definitely caramelized better here as well. Bongos has a pretty similar level of pork with more, but onions are definitely a step down What moves this place above those two for me is the amount of aioli used here far exceeds those other places, which just makes the overall eating experience better For the price (about 14 dollars) this is a really filling meal

The rice and beans are also amazing. I think you could probably go with any sandwich that has your preferred protein source and it would be great. Definitely worth a visit for a great sandwich.

This is THE spot to come before Mariners games or nearby concerts and nobody can convince me otherwise. I've tried them several times in the past and now have my dad hooked as well. Their signature Caribbean Roast sandwich is absolutely phenomenal and I have the hardest time ordering anything else when I'm here. I have tried the nachos version of it before as well, and that's equally delicious. The key is definitely that succulent roasted pork. I will say that the sandwich version is MESSY so don't wear white, and also just be mindful if you have plans after. This year, my dad decided to order a pre-seasoned and smoked turkey from Paseo and my GODDD it was good! We made a gravy from the drippings as well which turned out so good too. We also get their street corn that was said to serve 4-6 but it was generous and we had leftovers. Absolutely a MUST try, 10/10 no notes. There's a reason they have received so much love over the years - no questions, no notes, JUST GO TRY THEM PLEASE.

The indoor space is really cute, but I was confused as to why everything was blocked off and restricted to takeout only. I ordered the famous Caribbean Roast sandwich and a side of rice and beans, which came to a little less than $30. While it's a good sandwich, it felt a bit heavy; I really found myself looking for more acid to cut through the fat and grease. I'm glad I was sharing with Jenny because it's quite a lot for one person. I also noticed toward the end that the bread was burnt. Overall, it's a solid sandwich, but between the stomach issues and the char, I'm not sure I'd go back.

I was a bit confused on where to order until I realized there were kiosks by the front counter. It would've been nice if one of the workers actually had said something to me. Anyway, onto the food. I got the Fast Eddie with fries and it was alright. The meat was bit dry. Yes there was the au jus to dip in and it helped quite a bit, but all the flavors just didn't mesh. It was basically an ordinary french dip. The fries were okay, but the jalapeno aioli was great! That made everything better, but not enough to save the sandwich. You order on a tablet here, and then they call your name. It's a small storefront, so you really have to stay nearby to hear your name being called in the large space that is the Armory. Not much interaction with staff. Plenty of seating throughout the Armory, though shared with other restaurants. The food came out piping hot. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby.
