I found this place one day when I took a different walking route to my office one morning. I've added it to my lunch rotations now. I've been there twice since and tried the classic banh mi (deli cold cuts) and the beef pho. Both were good and decently priced for the location. The inside is nice, clean and bright. They have an ordering kiosk or you can order from the staff. I recommend preordering online if you're going around lunch as they get busy. Everything is most mostly self service once you get your food. I recommended the place to my coworker. This person is Caucasian and asked two questions. What kind of people went there and are the people behind the counter white? Interesting questions... so mostly Asian and Asian... if that matters to anyone. *Just realized they have multiple locations and I to went to the one on 6th. We ordered for delivery and the previewing was great, food still hot. Honestly I'm picky with viet for but this exceeded my expectations. Next time I'm in Seattle I'm definitely having this place. My beau was also happy to find the Vietnamese Iced Coffee he's grown fond of finding all throughout Silicon Valley. Vietnamese food for people who don't like Vietnamese food. Ordered takeout, the vermicelli combo bowl. Pros: it was done in a very timely manner, the eggroll was good, the veggies were fresh. Cons: The chicken was dry, the barbecued pork was super sweet, so much so, that it stuck to my molars like a caramel apple. I asked to add a side of peanut sauce, which they gave me instead of fish sauce, which was not the request. The peanut sauce was like a sweet, peanut salad dressing. It'll certainly satisfy any craving for a solid banh mi, but there's also better options around Seattle at a better value. Value is why I knock this rating to a 4/5, you're paying a bit of a banh mi premium at this location. I paid more for extra meat, but the quantity of extra is questionable. I ended up paying just under $13 for a banh mi, and that's a bit steep, even after accounting for inflation. Taking the time to update my previous review since the owner called me a liar or "truth twister". The owners response to my review doesn't make sense. Why would the worker remake my sandwich when I asked if the one she brought me was a new sandwich? As soon as I pointed out that the sandwich she brought me was the same one the homeless woman had touched just minutes before, she said she'd make me a new one. Why would she make me a new one if the one she brought wasn't the same sandwich? I haven't filed a complaint to the health department or anything - but if the owner is in denial and unable to correct the practices of the business, maybe it's best I do report it. The purpose of my review is to provide valuable feedback to the business so they can make improvements and remind their workers of basic health code laws. Whats the purpose in my efforts if the owner responds to my review and calls me a liar? We can keep this going forever if you'd like train your staff. To be completely honest - I was surprised at how good Vietlicious was (wasn't expecting much based on location of restaurant). The grilled pork sandwich was amazing - stuffed and came with pate which isn't typical for Vietnamese sandwich. The tofu could use some more flavor but that's just my opinion. Combo vermicelli bowl - this came with pork, chicken, and egg roll: pretty standard but the eggroll was very yummy. Sausage spring rolls: very different and very big. You can easily just order their spring rolls and be satisfied for breakfast/lunch Service, again was exceptional. Stopped in on a recommendation from a coworker, and was pleasantly surprised. The interior is similar to the former business with updated menu screens and more staff working behind the counter. My vermicelli noodle dish (bun) was prepared fresh, and after the discount came to $8 and change. They also have banh mi, spring and egg rolls, and smoothies/bubble tea.
