Food was real good and the take out bakery is truley awesome but quite expensive for diner fare.

If i could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. I came here with my family of 6 after a long day of traveling. To start off the service was AWFUL and our waitress was non-attentive. The delivery of our meal took an excessive amount of time. The spaghetti and meatballs tasted like it came out of a can. I have had better hamburgers at Burger King. To top it off I had to pay $3.50 for french fries to come with my burger. You would think waiting on a large family you would return at least once to see how we were doing. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. read more

We went last week and the food was fantastic! Our waitress Allison was beyond nice . We tried going last night and even on a Thursday night the place was sooo busy and couldn't find a parking space.I guess when your food is that good that is to be expected. read more

5/10/13 Very good burger & fries. My wife had the turkey club. It was large with fresh cut turkey not sandwich meat. The sandwich was excellent. We also bought a few sweets to go. The apple pie was very good but the almond cookie didn't taste fresh. read more

Just left there being local have eaten there several times. Have noticed an overall decline in food and service and today will be the last time we ever go there. Had an elderly person with us when I told owner she was waking from back parking lot could just sit me now and they would find me he snapped I will sit your whole party together. Food today was flavorless and a huge let down either burnt or obvious that it had been made a few days ago. Went to pay gave them credit card at counter she then threw back receipt to us and when we said we needed a pen threw that to us as well. Very good diner food. Service was excellent and attentive and the food was plentiful and not expensive. I got the turkey dinner with cup of soup and coffee and my son got the hot roast beef open face dinner and cup of soup and a drink and it's only cost me $34.00. I stopped here during on a long drive on the Fourth of July. I hadn't eaten lunch and it was getting near dinner time, and I was looking forward to a break. The diner was clean and the staff was very attentive. The coffee was excellent. They serve breakfast all day, and I had a cheddar cheese omlette, home fries and toast. The food was very good. So, so. Nothing special. The food was more like a formulated chain restaurant style than a homemade diner atyle. $60 for 4 people for breakfast. No coffee, no juice. According to the menu, the corned beef hash and eggs came with hollandaise. The waitress brought it without. When we asked, she said "oh, we don't put it on there because people aren't expecting it" ...... uh, ok.. then why is it on the menu? The hollandaise was made from a mix anyway. Great big portions! Lots of choices and variety of food. Order one item for two people...it's huge. Tried and loved the French onion soup, California burger with fries, the red line combo with skirt steak and crab stiffed shrimp with a huge plate of mashed potato. That's all for two people...too much food. Again, order like an appetizer and an entree to share. Both of us were stuffed after the burgers and soup. Travels land me in Wallkill, the staff at Extended Stay America recommends the Red Line Diner over neighboring Cracker Barrel , I now know why, in town for 7 days, have eaten nearly every meal here. To my surprise a diner does not have cheap food ( no diners in Texas) the diner specialities are crafted with pride, the presentation rivals a high end restaurant, I had the Aussie burger (forgot menu name) anyway the grilled egg on top and a flavorful burger, I opted to eat this sandwich dry, no mayo or mustard, try that else where, breakfast portions are sizable and inexpensive, ( being from Texas I need a large meal) another point is they have a full bar, I helped the manager make me the perfect kettle one martini, great after a long day. The bakery items are made on site, while I did not try they look so good. Eat here and you won't be sorry. Texas approved !!! read more

I loved this diner, everything is homemade which is why the food is a little more expensive. The only thing I would change would be the buffalo bites, there wasn't enough meat in them. My dinner plate was fabulous (Greek platter), I almost ordered another one to go so I could eat it the next night. I saw other dishes go out and everyone seemed happy. The staff is very friendly and treats you like you're their friend. The waitress Jessy was awesome! It is a little more pricey than the average diner but this one is a little more upscale and offers a wide variety of food with big portions. read more

Arrived here for a visit to upstate NY. Love that it's open 24hrs. We got seated right away. The waitress remembered our entire order without writing it out...and we were a party of 9!! Horrible restaurant. First let me start off the moment you walk inside this restaurant, you aren't greeted by anyone. All the staff members are very nasty and very rude to customers. You can tell they don't like their job or care about customer service at all. I have gone to this diner many times and you have to stop a staff member the moment you walk inside and tell them you need help, or they will walk right pass you and act like you are invisible. The short old man who works there, "owner" is a very rude old man. I couldn't believe how he was speaking to some of the customers while I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my take out order one weekend. I refuse to ever come to this restaurant ever again. They really need a attitude adjustment from the higher management there. I haven't met 1 courteous staff member at that restaurant yet. If you want a horrible experience go to redline diner in Fishkill. Also, I would imagine the risk of catching the coronavirus at the redline diner in Fishkill, NY is very high as well , they fill up the entire restaurant inside and outside with people and people are crowded in a small lobby waiting for take out orders for 20 mins at a time , I'm surprised that the county hasn't shut them down yet. read more

Pretty good diner.Great location right on Route 9 in Fishkill.I had my usual burger and fries,and the wife had a panini of some sort.Food and service was pretty good.Most diner food is tasty,I have found in my travels.Anyhow, we finish up and my wife decides to get some pastry to go.She ordered some rugelach, a small rolled pastry about the size of a pretzel nugget.We got six or so in a bag to go.The bill comes and those little things cost 15 bucks a pound.Roughly the cost of filet mignon.You can get a bucket of these pastries at Costco for way less. read more

Ate dinner here tonight. Great look, a menu for everyone. Was on my own so had the chance to watch the staff. They were great! Always smiling. Checked on the dinners often - sometimes with a glance, waiting for the response. Sometimes with a word. Food was really good - started with the pork dumplings! Service is extremely slow. Manager walking around pretending to be busy while we waited 40 min for eggs. Saw someone w a margarita so I figure I'd ask for a glass of wine and got told they stop serving at 3 am but they would ask the manager because he "sometimes" makes "exceptions" for certain people. Then the manager comes up to me and asks what I want I explain my request and what his waitress said and he pretty much tells me the same thing and walks away. Total joke. Horrible customer service. Food was decent but had a very uncomfortable event in the ladies bathroom with a male staff member. I had to use the restroom and when I walked into the ladies room there was both a male and female worker cleaning the bathroom. They both informed me that the bathroom was closed even though there were no signs on the door that said "temporarily closed". I told both of them that I needed to go, It was an emergency. The lady left the bathroom but the male worker said he would not leave because he had to clean the bathroom but I was welcome to use the bathroom anyways. I felt uncomfortable but went any ways. Another customer came in and asked him to leave so she could use the bathroom and he refused her but welcomed her to go while he was still in there. She declined and left. My mother and I had lunch here and when the check came, the burgers we ordered were more expensive than listed on the menu. The extra costs were hidden on the menu away from the eye, and while I understand why my burger cost more, she ordered just the burger, the meat. She ordered no sides, no cheese, not even a bun. They still charged her for a deluxe, and when we asked them to fix it, the host simply laughed at us. read more

I can't say enough good things about the redline diner. We live in PA and we drove 2hrs just to have dinner at the redline on New Yeas Eve. The food is spectacular. We first discovered the redline about a year ago when we were driving up to New Hampshire and we now try and have dinner there on special occasions. My wife had the Rigatoni in Woodsman's Sauce and I had a seafood pasta dish with calamari, clams, shrimp, scallops and mussels over linguini with home made Marianna Sauce. DO NOT EAT HERE! While waiting for a takeout order, I tried to explain to the owner that there was a mathematical error in a sign on the bakery counter. (1 for $1.95, 2 for $3.95 instead of $3.90 or less.) He shrugged and said he didn't come to my house and tell me what to do. I turned away from him and took out my phone to check my messages. The owner SMACKED ME ON THE ARM and told me not to take pictures. I said I wasn't taking pictures, and don't touch me. Even though he had just smacked my arm he insisted he didn't touch me. He kept arguing with me, and I said I did not want to argue. He finally walked away. I was so upset that when the waitress brought my order, I told her what happened, and that I was going to post it on social media. On the way out, I saw the owner. I took a breath and told him that I am not a vindictive person, and that if he would apologize for smacking my arm I would forget about the whole thing. He insisted again he had not touched me. He's lucky I did not call the police and file an assault charge. If I ever hear from him about this review, or if I get home and find a bruise on my arm, I will press charges. DO NOT EAT HERE! Heard good things about this place from a few people. Made first visit there yesterday. The place was clean and the staff was VERY attentive . The salad was very fresh and fairly large. The chicken and rice soup tasted homemade and not salty like some diners. Liked our chicken clubs and chipotle chicken sandwiches.
