Here's a Father's Day review: They were kind enough to seat us, but they have really odd hours, especially for Father's Day -- arguably the BIGGEST day of the year for BBQ. We arrived at 3:50 p.m., and they told us that they were closing in 10 minutes. Yikes. A family that arrived after us was turned away. I could see the deep disappointment in their eyes. I can only guess that BEAST doesn't want the business. Again, this was during the afternoon on one of the busiest BBQ days of the year. I.E. This wasn't some slow, late, and empty night. It was a sunny afternoon, and Fishkill's Main Street was hopping and vibrant. The staff did allow us to eat our meal, though, and didn't kick us out, but they were itching to close up shop. I guess they all have better things to be doing. (?) The food was, well, "okay" but overly pricey. The smoked wings are good here. I'll give them that. I would only get those if I ever came again (though the blue cheese dressing was weak). The other food (brisket, sausage, and mac n' cheese) was not poor, but it was also not memorable. Maybe a "C" grade all around? It's a neat spot for drinks (good spirits selection) and wings if you're in the neighborhood and they're open. But double-check their hours before heading out. read more

We were walking past this place and decided to give it a try. We were seated quickly. They have seats indoors and outdoors. The staff were all SO friendly and great. The food was pretty good as well. We got wings to start, which had good flavor. And we also tried the burger, and a chicken sandwich. It's a nice atmosphere to go as a small group or on a date. I would definitely return here and try some other options as well. read more

We went out for a family dinner. We were great with a big smile and seated promptly. It is a quaint places with outdoor seating. Noise level was tolerable. Our waitress was very friendly, polite, and attentive!! She made our dining experience so much better. We ordered a couple of drinks with our meal. I order a Godzilla Old Fashioned smoked. It was amazing. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was delicious our plates were completely empty. read more

Sooooooo gooooooood! My friend lives nearby & suggested we come here for the brisket nachos, and she wasnt wrong. There was so much flavor happening all at once, a little kick, the bbq sauce gave it more yum, and the serving was enough for 2 people to share. Not to mention that we ordered & it came out like 10min later, on a Saturday night when their busy? KUDOS!!! I loved this place. The drinks were also very tasty. I MUST RETURN! read more

Showed up not long before closing time and they made us still feel welcome and we enjoyed the great food, drinks, service and atmosphere. Their version of a ruben (they call it the pastrami sandwich) was very good as were their 'house fries'. The menu is a la carte so you don't get fries with a sandwich but the pricing was reasonable enough to not mind too much! I wish they weren't closed Mon/Tues but understand the need to give a break to staff and all but wish they'd hire more staff and open 7days -- the food and vibe is that good. read more

We stopped in for their late night happy hour after eating at Dutchess Biercafe. At 9 it was still really busy outside but quiet inside. It's a small space, but it's cozy. They had ductless a/c units on the wall, but I'm not sure they were running because it was still quite hot inside. Our server was quick to tend to us and very friendly. They have a great tap list, much like Dutchess, only theirs is lager-centric rather than Belgian. Exactly what you want with some BBQ. You can't beat the 50% off price tag at happy hour either. We also decided to share some of the crispy ribs. The rib was cooked perfectly. Perfectly tender, but still holding its shape. The gochujang glaze was a little sweet and funky, and complimented the crispy texture. We'll definitely be visiting again to sample more food and drinks in the future! read more

Was super pleasantly surprised by Beast. 3 of us searched for a place for late brunch on Sunday after morning apple picking at nearby fishkill farms. We promptly grabbed a table outside , and were convinced to try brisket and pulled pork. I opted for loaded pulled pork nachos topped with eggs sunny side up. My friends both got brisket sandwiches. We started with an order of crispy chicken wings with gochuchang . Everything came out fast, piping hot , and most importantly full of flavor ! We were so surprised because everything was $15/16 each which was super reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommend!! read more

If you want bbq, this should be #1 on Yelp. I had the pork belly bao buns to start. The pork belly was smoked and delicious, but it must have also been put on the flat top and griddled as it had a crunchy exterior and was so hot and satisfying! The pickled vegetables were crunchy and delicious. My wife had the brisket chili w/fritos. Huge chunks of brisket and great flavors. I ended with a half pound of brisket as that's the great leveler. So tender and smoky - just fell apart. Great beers and cocktails were also had. read more

Service never disappoints. Tried some new drinks and they all were great. The Fishkill Vice was more my favorite, it's more on the sweeter side but that la how I like my drinks. The Feral Fries were crunchy with the sauce was tangy, a great combo for the taste buds. The sandwiches were superb. It was packed but glad we were able to dine, awesome music, appreciate how easy going it feels being there. read more

I slept on this place for a long time, but today we were driving by and hungry so we stopped in. Super cool vibes and extra friendly staff made my 1st impression very positive. Plenty of room to sit at the bar or at a table - we sat at the bar. Bartender carried the good attitude and was on point when giving the specials. We both ordered drinks - myself an Old Fashioned and my date a margarita. Both drinks were REALLY good. That bartender definitely puts the love in. The food was out super quick- we both got the pastrami sandwich. The sandwich fell out of heaven and on to my plate! The pastrami was extremely tender with a hint of smoke - the bark on it was perfect. The kraut and sauce on it was the perfect combination for a masterpiece of a sammie. One may think $20 may be a bit on the high side for a sandwich, but it was HUGE and half came home, so no regrets! All in all this place ROCKS and I can't wait to go back to try some other menu items... read more

Wing Wednesdays are a great deal but the "very hot" ghost pepper wings are not spicy at all! Tasted like sweet barbecue sauce. The habanero wings are only slightly spicy but not at all "hot" as listed on the menu. The Mac and cheese is very good and rich! read more

Got home from eating at Beast and wondered for a brief moment if I should turn around and go back -- it was THAT GOOD. I had the chicken wings, which were probably the best I've ever had. They had a nice assortment of sauces, but for me, the best was their "special sauce." (Although the buffalo sauce was also excellent and packed a lovely punch). I got the wings with the dry rub, although you have other options if you want a different flavor. There's a special on wings Wednesday nights, so I'm thinking I'll be there weekly... Because I remembered I should probably eat some vegetables, I had a side salad with green goddess dressing. Fresh salad and the dressing was excellent. My partner got the chicken sandwich, which also had the special sauce I used on my wings. She said it was "out of this world" (part of that may have been influenced by the curly fries she had on the side). Regardless, there was nothing left on either of our plates by the time we left. The place is small, so on a Saturday night we ended up sitting at the bar --which was actually kind of neat. It meant we got to talk with some of the servers, who were all super nice and helpful. Can't wait to go back! read more

First time here, and super impressed. Local business owners who opened up another spot in Fishkill. Ambiance is warm and welcoming. Very cute interior with a large bar and plenty of tables. We sat at the bar and the service was great. Very attentive and helpful. Our bartender told us happy hour was ending soon so we were able to take advantage of that. Very helpful. Food was great. Menu has a lot of variety. This is a pretty "meaty" place, just so folks are aware. We had the nachos and tacos - both very well seasoned and delicious. I would highly recommend this spot. I will definitely be back! read more

First our drinks were all consistent and tasted the same as the first.we hit happy hour an got $52 off our drink bill. Food was delicious, over stuffed potatoe with Reuben and other toppings. Hidden gem in Fishkill. Great Smashburger . Cool happy hour too. Great server. East parking.

Fantastic food and extremely generous portions. The servers are really great and make the dining experience enjoyable. A bit on the noisy side when it's crowded but you can still have a conversation. My go to option when I don't feel like cooking. Would highly recommend this place read more

This place was so so good!! Our waitress was so sweet and accommodating. The staff went above and beyond to make our first visit special. We had the mimosas, Weistephaner Hefeweizen on tap!!, and a Bellini. Ordered the brisket omelet - it was in need of sauce or something as it was a little dry. Strawberry waffle and bacon were delicious. I ordered the waffle smokehouse. It was the best!! I couldn't eat it fast enough to keep those flavors going! Loved it. read more

Yes! Food is great, service is above and beyond, our lovely waitress Jen was professional with a great smile. Soon we will be able to seat outside and enjoy a great meal Al fresco. Prices are good too. Try The Beast, you'll like it. read more

I'm really surprised that the place received such good reviews. The food was BLAND. I ordered the brisket absolutely no taste. The beans abd the rice no taste. I would not go back or recommend anyone else to go. I refused to go boxes because I knew I couldn't reheat and eat. read more

10/10 meal. No notes. Service is great, food is outstanding. They are not lying when they say seating is "limited" however the experience is well worth the wait. We decided to try someplace we hadn't been to yet. We had heard good things about this place. It's conveniently located in the village of Fishkill. The service is friendly. We started with the crispy smoked wings which were pretty good. Then we had the beast potter which is more than enough or four people to share. Then we had the beignet for dessert which was just alright. Overall it was a pretty good dining experience and I'd recommend this place. read more

This is our first time coming to The Beast since opening. We love the Dutchess Bier Cafe, so we have high expectations for this place since they shared the same owner. It's walking distance from DBC and in an old town hall building. The inside is smaller than how it seems from the outside, but offers plenty of seating. Large bar with very comfortable seats which takes up half of the space, the other half are for sit-down dining. They will have more seating outdoors when the weather is warmer. We came here on a Saturday for a late lunch as party of 4. We sat at the bar for a round of drinks while waiting for a table. The bartender was very sweet and welcoming and they had a nice selection of draft beer on tap. Not as many as DBC, but still plenty to keep you happy. DBC only serves beer and wine, but here they offer a full bar for mixed drinks/cocktail. We did not have one but the drink menu looks nice and we will next time! For food, they were offering their brunch menu which had plenty of yummy stuff to choose from. The menu is BBQ based; We ordered the brisket omelette, brisket sandwich, and BLT. I really enjoyed my omelette, it was topped with a creamy sauce which made the omelette even more scrumptious. Every one of us cleaned our plate, so I would say that's a win! Laid back atmosphere, welcoming viv, I highly recommend it! read more

Always amazing food and great service. One of our favorite spots in the Hudson Valley.

Very disappointed in the food and the service. The beer served was room temperature, at most, and not cold at all. Ordered a "seltzer" and found out it was really a "juice" with a very high sugar content. The wings we ordered (6 dry rubbed and 6 Alabama white sauce), were overcooked and very dry and the Alabama sauce was really aioli, not Alabama sauce at all. Then we tried a brisket and cheese sandwich and the brisket was like sawdust. completely dried out and black. Absolutely terrible and we were amazed they even served it. Lastly, the service was extremely slow. We tried this place once, but would never go back. The only good thing was the water! read more
