I think I've been to this location a long long time ago but I'm glad I'm back. To be honest it's hard to tell the difference of Cracker Barrels once you pull into the parking lot. Most of them are the same and consistently is a good thing. You know what you're getting every time. There are rocking chairs outside with a giant checkers board as well. The store is the first part once you walk in and they have all kinds of snacks, drinks, toys, souvenirs, shirts and much more. Some of it is branded stuff and most of it is pretty unique stuff. The restaurant is past that and you check in with the hostess and hopefully there isn't a wait. I usually get the breakfast and it's good every time. Breakfast all day as well which awesome. I have never, in all of my 75 years of life, asked to speak to the manager of a restaurant but I guess that there's a first time for everything. Our visit began well. Our waitress, Hope, was very sweet and took our order promptly. After waiting about 30 minutes, we asked about our order. Hope explained that a bus had arrived and that the kitchen had been overwhelmed. We hadn't seen a bus or an unusually large number of customers, but she kindly offered us some biscuits while we waited. The biscuits were delicious, although we hadn't wanted to fill up on bread before our meal. When our food finally arrived, my companion's meatloaf was cold, so he had to send it back to be reheated. I had ordered French toast, but pancakes arrived instead. Hope checked her order pad, confirmed that I had indeed ordered French toast, and offered to take the pancakes back. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. Within about two minutes, she returned with what was supposed to be French toast. It looked like slices of bread that had been hastily dipped in egg and barely cooked. The slices were white rather than the golden-brown color you would expect from properly prepared French toast. I tried a piece, and it essentially tasted like bread. It was so undercooked that I called it "raw French toast." When Hope came back to check on us, I told her that the French toast was inedible. Her response was simply to ask if we wanted the check. When we went to pay our tab, the cashier asked if we had been happy with our meal. I took the opportunity to say no, and she called over the manager. I briefly explained my disappointment and the manager promptly offered to remove the cost of my meal from the bill. That was satisfactory but I didn't get the feeling that she was going to talk to the cook about the fact that such horrible food should never have left the kitchen to begin with. Was she going to try to improve the service for the next customer? I understand that restaurants can get busy, and I appreciated Hope's pleasant attitude but waiting roughly 30 minutes for our food, receiving cold meatloaf, and then being served essentially uncooked French toast is not an acceptable dining experience. What was especially disappointing was that there didn't seem to be any real attempt to correct the problem once I explained that my meal was inedible. I left hungry and disappointed and probably won't eat French toast again for the rest of my life! read more

First of all I love Cracker Barrel in general. It was semi busy during our visit. Service was very slow. My over easy came with the yolks broken. Not all of my food came out at the same time and I finished my plate before my sides came out. I didn't want to send my eggs back because of how slow they were. I wanted a refill on my drink and waited, but grew tired of waiting and left and paid my bill. read more

Zia is a waitress happy comes over very bright. Ask us what she can get us a drink even though we just sat down and got a menu. She knows that and gives us time but she wants to get us some drinks. I got the southern fried chicken is crispy and yet juicy inside the mashed potatoes used to be watery now they're nice and hardy and they're gravy has a quick turnaround is a lot better and actually great compared to what it used to be. The cinnamon apple side is crunchy, sweet and tender at the same time unbelievable . And because it's so crowded we had to wait for biscuits and corn muffins so I prefer that actually because they come out fresh so maybe next time I'm just gonna tell them to make them fresh. I'd rather wait unbelievable biscuit and call muffin. So my wife had the scrambled eggs. She said the bacon was excellent also came with some Canadian ham, kinda, and the hashbrowns and the hashbrowns she says was good but way too much cheese for her taste. She also had a French toast, which was really good with the little jar of syrup, but when you mix the French toast with the apple cinnamon side, oh my God, what a meal that made. all that food two drinks and we walked out of there paying $44. Well Cracker Barrel has always been a road trip staple since I was a kid. They are all certainly hit or miss depending on the day. Now when coming here if you looking for world class chains well it's not happening but if you looking for some staples that are good and remind of some southern cooking then you will have a good experience. Our serve was nice but we had some issues with our food and the manger just excuses everything away. My food was decent I got the fried chicken breast and got it with a side of pancakes and onion straws. The kickback sauce is good. It not too noises where you can't talk to your table. read more

Had breakfast with the wifey the other day. I don't know what it is but even though I'm famous they don't like to give me attention. The waiter barely came over to the table. No water refills, no extra napkins, no nothing. My order came out but it was wrong and it took them way too long to fix it. But the food was actually pretty good. It wasn't very hot but it was hot outside so I couldn't taste the difference. The place is very fun looking. Lots going on and very country feel. My wife took way too long looking in the shop. Stopped in for some breakfast while on a road trip and I was so disappointed! This place was freezing first of all, the staff was ok, but appeared to be in training. Got their cracker barrel breakfast platter and the sausage tasted like cardboard, the grits and eggs were decent, their biscuits have to be pre frozen they were awful. Everyone takes their sweet time to ring up a sale. When we asked the manager if there was another register or person that can just check us out, he gave us an attitude and said that there was someone at the register. We were waiting in line for almost 10 minutes while the people in front of us had loads of clothing they were purchasing. The manager needs to lose the attitude. We have been to this specific location 4 times and this last time was our absolute favorite. Not only was the food delicious, Salma is the best waitress! She made suggestions, she took care of our special requests, she checked in frequently but wasn't overbearing. She was so attentive of our needs and so friendly. We were picking our son up from sleep away camp so after 2 weeks without our baby it felt extra special to be taken care of so well. It made the day that much more special. For a while this location had markedly improved but as of late it has been going downhill again. We arrived on a Friday for an early dinner and got seated immediately before the crowd hit. I ordered the Friday Fish Fry and it was disappointing. The fish filets were smaller than I remember and they were so dry and fried to a crisp I didn't really enjoy them. The coleslaw was very watery and the biscuits and muffins were so dark we didn't bother eating them. Hubby had the chicken and dumplings and said that the chicken was cut way to large to absorb any flavor. Also they put his mac and cheese on the same plate and they ran into the dumpling sauce. We ordered at the table and 35 minutes later the waiter says he forgot to put it in, retakes the order then 5 minutes comes back with food. It was "sitting" somewhere else. The food was inedible it was sitting so long so we had them redo the order. 30 minutes later the manager comes over and apologizes the order didn't get put in AGAIN and he was personally going to take care of our order and everything is free. Seating is prompt, the waitstaff service is cordial and also quick. This particular Cracker Barrel is celebrating his 25th anniversary in Fishkill. Food comes out quick enough, and it's close to what you ordered as possible. Good for small groups or families, as well as a single diner. So I do not like heavy, bland pancakes. I don't like any but a particular family recipe. Ever. Cracker Barrel are the only pancakes I will eat than my family recipe. That is like discovering another moon. They are very good! The service was lovely. This is a great stop while traveling. We appreciate the welcome and RV parking. The store is novelty. We went to the Crackle Barrel store CB0350 Fishkill NY. We had the worst experience which made me very sad. Food was as of it sat so they reheated it and our chicken was rubber. We waited forever to get our drinks, biscuits and meal. Only saw our waitress 4 times in 1 1/2 hours there. Our server L Sumiljah we asked for our check 3 times and our server several times. Horrible experience today! Where do I start. Got there at 6:50pm and the place was not busy we got a table in 5 min. The waitress came and took our drink orders and after our food. She was a good sever .. BUT!! Whoever is in the kitchen should be fired!!!! 7:50pm !!! and still no food and one order was a simple salad ‍ Then we asked how much longer and they said almost ready, the kitchen was busy which was not true. Also their menu shows items that are suppose to be quick orders !! Now to the food , i got the chicken and dumplins which were a quick item on the menu and a signature dish ! Took 1 hr to come and there was about 12 dumplins which were just like raw dough and 2 small pieces of chicken. Picture shows it looks a mess. Then i asked to change it and they said ok but they were out of chicken tenders so i asked for a chicken sandwich. Couple minutes after they come say that they have chicken tenders now if i want that. I said what ever is faster at this point, its been 1 hr and 30min. 10 min later finally i get chicken tenders and mac and cheese. Not worth the wait at all. Also a hair was found in the salad. I'm not much to give negative reviews, My experience was the waitress who was serving us did not have bedside manner.. never checked on us to see if we needed anything which I think that this so so very important when dealing with customers in the restaurant business. The pancakes were horrible, they were hard not fluffy, the bacon was not cooked properly.. it was still soft, not crispy the way I wanted it. Took one bite of it and didn't care for it any longer. 8 years ago we saw this restaurant from afar but we didn't have time to stop. This trip we decided to stop and give it a try. It was a terrible $85 meal. Our waitress was very nice. Friendly and attentive. The food. Steak tips, shrimp and grilled chicken tenders with mac n cheese and tot casserole. 1/10 everything was just dry. The meat had no flavor, the shrimp was 90% breading and the chicken was dry. The Mac n cheese was also dry and flavorless. It didn't taste cheesy at all. The tot casserole was shredded hasbrowns that were mushy. Hamburger with bacon and cheese. The patty was very much overcooked. We asked for medium well and it was well well edging on shoe leather. It didn't look like a burger they made fresh but rather a frozen patty from Costco. 0/10 Maple bacon chicken again. So dry. There was flavor from the bacon and cheese that was melted on top but the chicken was like it had been sitting under a warmer for an hour or so before coming to the table. 2/10 Fried pickle chips. These were actually pretty good. They could have been better had they been left in the fryer for one more minute. 6/10 Cheddar bites. These were delicous. I wish we'd only ordered these and then just dropped. 10/10 Biscuits and corn bread. Um not sure how corn bread can taste not like corn bread. Just no. 1/10 Save yourself $85 and go to McDonald's down the street. read more

Ate here today with my parents and sister for breakfast before going to my cousin's graduation in CIA trying this place out for the first time. Whoa. Look, it's probably just a coincidence, but I've been going here for years and have never had a bad experience...up until today lol. It's the Sunday before Labor Day so maybe that was it, but today was my first ever bad experience at a Cracker Barrel. Was it the holiday weekend or the new logo/rebranding?! Haha. My party of 4 arrived at around 1:45. We were seated relatively quickly considering how busy it was (thank goodness for adding ourselves to the waitlist before getting there) and the waitress came over and took our drink order after about 5 min. She got our drinks about another 5 min later and took our food order, but all 4 of us had to change what we ordered because so many things on the menu were not available! I got my chocolate milk and poured it into the glass, but when I took a sip it tasted very sour. One of the cartons smelled awful! Luckily she took that back and I got a sweet tea instead that was pretty refreshing. The food took 55 minutes to arrive. Unreal. My girlfriend and I ended up going with the chicken n dumplins. Hers looked pretty good, but had less chicken in it than usual. Mine looked dry and barely had any sauce. It looked like it came straight from the microwave, and it was lukewarm. My girlfriend's side of broccoli was cold. My mom's hashbrown casserole was lukewarm and seemed to be burnt leftovers. My girlfriend and I both got a side of corn and it was much less buttery than usual andjust tasted kinda watery. The floors had plenty of food on them with nobody going around to clean and the bathrooms both had trash cans overflowing with paper towels. I don't know what else was going on in the lady's bathroom, but our moms both said they were filthy. I'm someone with a family whose new year tradition is swinging by this Cracker Barrel for a good breakfast to kick off the new year ever since 2005. Terrible customer service, attitude starts from host desk. Made an online reservation, fyi, it only allows up to 6, we were 7. When we arrived i notified the host we are 7. Then manager showed up, said that we changed the number, now we have to wait 2 hrs!! I said, it is your pages's problem, i have no issues making a reservation for 7. I drove 2 hrs to get here, now telling me they cannot accommodate me!!! Made scene, we sat after 2 parties. You guys have to fix that!!! Our server Amanda was amazing!!! 5 stars to her!! Food was ok. Spicy ranch chicken was very salty, Amanda changed that for us. Chicken n dumplings is always good. Roast beef wasn't fork tender, i ate it anyway. With all the hella ballou and talking about giving the cracker a try we did. I wanted to have pancakes that I did not make. Well we can cross it off our list of trying it out, should have just gone to the Red line next door. Will say the pancakes were very good, did not like the baloney maple syrup, half sugar water. Would have paid for real maple syrup. The worst thing were the sausage hockey pucks that you could use on a air hockey table, just not eatable at all. Some sort of gravy you are to use on briskets not to warm. Eggs were reasonable but overall, meh. Bacon could have been cooked more but like I said pancakes good. Look don't get me started. This is one of my favorite breakfast places. I don't get to go often because it's so far but when I do, I know I'm going to Cracker Barrel. I have nothing to say but what I order is my favorite grits, eggs, bacon, or sausage And apple butter, orange juice, hot chocolate, all the good stuff that I shouldn't be eating at one time, but you only do it so often so if you're a country girl and you like breakfast and hey, this is a place for you and not worried about too many calories or we don't do this all the time. read more
