Our server was very nice, efficient and friendly. Very knowledgeable on the happy hour drinks. I had what they call a category five hurricane, which was very tasty and strong. My entrée consist of blackened and mahi-mahi with a pineapple relish, chutney with their signature lime rice with cilantro and a House salad. Everything was seasoned to perfection and Chutney was delicious, my wife had a Philly cheesesteak with sweet potato fries and my daughter had chicken quesadilla with the Parmesan french fries as my grandson. I went for lunch party of 4, and we each had different wings so we could taste test & it is the best I've had in a long time. The Yucatán chicken nachos were alright, I did like tangy sauce on top and plenty of cheese and beans, but man a very abyssal amount of chicken, had to dig deep to find it, and if this was a no meat nachos it would been perfect, so it fell short. Went to check out a band on a Saturday night. The bar was full but managed to snag a corner seat with a friend, brought over another stool to fit the spot. While I went to the restroom my friend was served a drink seemingly quickly. When I came back, a petite bartender asked me soon after what I want for a drink, I was trying to get a look at what drafts they had, she said she'd find a list and then never ever came back lol. She seemed to disappear, seemed like a newbie. One other bartender was working it, but could I ever get her attention? Nah. Her eyes never seemed to look at customers while making a drink here and there. It was only 8 minutes from the hotel, so off we went. The decor inside is really cute. There is outside seating overlooking a stream that would be nice in warmer weather. They had happy hour drinks from 3-6 on a Saturday! Boy was hangry so we got the firecracker shrimp to start. I really liked how crispy they were and the sauce waa relly good. I had the Bacon Jam BLT and hubs had the Chimichurri Steak. There was SO much bacon on my BLT and the bacon jam set it off quite nicely. The steak was cut and cooked good and was flavorful. I got 5 bone in WI gs with Boss Sauce, which I really liked the flavor. I love this place! I get the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer and garlic Parmesan wings. Omg they're the best! The decor is so cute and the bartenders make good drinks. I love the menu as well. I haven't had a dish I didn't like. Outside during the summer there is a spot downstairs that has actual sand like you're at the beach. And there's a beautiful flowing creek there as well. The food was disappointing. 1st the dry rub wings and saucy wings were placed in the same container...fail. 2nd, the flavors sound delicious but lacked flavor. I ordered the bang bang taco's and was a great fit for what I was looking for. I'll be back for sure for beer and wings or a burger at some point. My first and only visit but I would recommend Hurricane for the service and food quality I received, hope you the same. If Sara is working the bar, you best be sitting there. I am obsessed with fried pickles so anywhere I go, if they have it I order it. These were terrible. It was like a shaving off a pickle. This place has lots of potential to be great but for what it is and offers it is just okay. The atmosphere is what one expects in a sports bar, TV's lots of noise, decorations and endless amounts of empty tables. As the name implies they have wings on the menu, along with burgers. Salad, steaks, etc. It all seems to offer some sort of island tropical flare but nothing that really makes it shine. The wing flavors are 21 in total I believe and they range in heat but nothing that was memorable or worth recalling. They offer lots of drinks and your typical prices $8-$15 even with their fun little "Bucket" of booze which is an actual mini pain filled with liquor. It is much better a sports bar to watch tv and drink than it is a restaurant to sit and eat. The reason I give them such a low rating is because like the forgettable food, when you walk into the bathroom the soap dispenser is empty and a family dollar bottle of soap is on the bathroom counter instead. This is just lazy, what would it take to stock the toilet paper, soap dispenser and hand towels and not just leave them on the counter?? It shows the type of attitude for this establishment that could shine but unfortunately sufferers from lack of care. Grubhub stated the order was marked delivered 8:18pm by the restaurant. The Perfect Storm Platter is great for an appetizer. It comes with Firecracker Shrimp, Boneless Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, & Garlic Parm Fries. They have a large variety of wing selection to choose from, as well as chicken, tacos, steak, and impossible burgers. The food isn't the problem. The service is horrible. The staff is not attentive. We ordered drinks, then ordered my appetizer. Some friends joined us, ordered drinks, and got their drinks before we did. I finished my appetizer, and the still the drinks never arrived. This place was the absolute worst dinning experience I've had in a while. Let me tell you why So, I chose this place for Father's Day hoping that it would live up to the hype. My coworkers had been talking about this place for a while. We sat down, put our drink order in.... 10 Mins later the drinks finally came. Note: it was not even the least bit crowded. I ordered half calypso sauce wings and half lemon pepper rub wings. The food came out in a decent amount of time. The calypso wings tasted as if the sauce was left out and spoiled. Almost like what Mayo would taste like if were left out. The lemon pepper rub was no existent, so pretty much I was left with plain, bland wings for the other half. Oh, and out of the two wings I tasted, both were pink in the middle. The chicken was not done! I flagged down my waitress to let her know of my grievances. She basically told me you get what you order, all sales final. Usually if you go to a restaurant, take a bite out of your food and don't like it', they'll find a way to fix your problem. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. So at the end of our meal decided to say something again and I did. She said let me get my manager. 10 mins passes, the manager never came. Instead, she comes back with the check. The wings were no longer on the bill but now my sides were individually priced on the check, almost amounting to the cost of the wing meal. What type of petty shit was that. The sides were part of the terrible meal WTF. Smooth move but not on my check. So I bring up the pettiness, she returns to the manager and comes back with the sides removed.
