Their Sunday bruch is back! A few new menu items & they've added new bruch drinks such as the Mimosa flight which was amazing! Greeted & seated as soon as we walked in. They give a menu to see what is offered for the buffet. Less options than I remember from the past but still a good price. The staff were very attentive & friendly. read more

7/27/25 - we were joined by another couple for the luncheon buffet, all of us have been here several times before. The venue is still upscale, service is impeccable, it's kept very clean. However, the amount of proteins offered; has gone down quite a bit, and there are a lot of starches on the hot buffet. The minute steak and the chicken francese were both rather tough. I couldn't tell what kind of fried fish it was supposed to be under the breading. It wasn't too bad. The Cold station had usual grilled vegetables, cold smoked salmon, and cold cuts. All platted artistically. There aren't as many desserts as usual. For me that's NBD. You would think for $35 there would be a more varied hot table entrees. read more

My wife and I decided to do Brunch with our daughters and grandsons. It was our oldest daughter and grandsons first time and as always the experience was amazing for them and all of us. The service is impeccable, the servers move like ninjas, your beverage is low and the next thing you know your beverages are replenished or empty plates are removed. It's a beautiful ambiance and the food is superb. There is a chef who makes omelets to your specification and he also prepares the fresh baked waffles. There is a carving station also where he also slices the meat of the day. There is also a full bar for those who like a libation with their brunch. Definitely a go to place each Sunday from 11:00am-2:30pm. The price recently increased due to you know who from $24.00 to $35.00. However again it's is so worth a visit read more

Only on Sunday they have a buffet style bench/lunch. It's white linen tablecloth and napkins. Thd servers are in white jackets. One half of restaurant is dedicated to the brunch and other half is a regular restaurant. The buffet is from 11-2PM As we work to our table. You can see what is on the menu. I can't wait to and fill my plate. Remember this is buffet which You can take as much as you want and times you want They have a beverage list quite extensive. I ask for. Bloody Mary. It's quite good. The steak was hard. Difficult to chew. I loved this place. But it's getting expensive. and it was limited to what they had read more

We absolutely love coming here. It has become one of our regular spots and every single time we go, we are treated so well. The hospitality truly stands out. The staff is attentive, warm, and makes you feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you walk in. The range of food options is impressive. Whether you are in the mood for something light or a full, indulgent meal, there is always something exciting to choose from. Everything we have tried has been beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The drinks are excellent, especially the Faison margarita. It is perfectly balanced and one of the best cocktails we have had anywhere. You can tell care goes into every detail behind the bar. Their Sunday brunch buffet is also fantastic. Great variety, fresh offerings, and such a fun way to spend a relaxing weekend morning. The overall ambiance and vibe are just right. It feels elevated yet comfortable, making it perfect for date night, celebrations, or a casual dinner out. read more

an eclectic celebration and take on new american cuisine. take out is our go-to and for the most part what we've order has been satisfactory - even when we did have a mix up (forgotten item) they offered a refund with zero hesitation. soup, pasta and salad were good. havent dined in but seems like a hodgepodge of decor signaling something a lil more than casual. i'd order again. read more

Oh man... not good. We went to their brunch which cost a pretty penny. It was equivalent to a hotel's breakfast section but the waffle maker is operated by one man who disappears after making one. The croissants were hard and dried out - like from BJ's a week ago. When we ordered our food it took forever for it to get to us and it was subpar. My salmon was good but my friend's chicken was dry.... The mashed potatoes tasted like boxed. It was sad and disappointing. Especially when the only reason we went there was my friend had gone a few years back and the brunch was amazing - but she immediately saw they changed everything. The place was pretty empty so it should have told us something. I will say this - our server was the sweetest. We left a good tip because it wasn't her fault - but I won't be back. read more

I think we'd give this restaurant an overwhelming "it was fine." We both had the filet -- we know chefs probably roll their eyes whenever we order filet medium well. But usually they can just butterfly the meat and can do that. Our meat was definitely overcooked -- I ate mine because I was hungry, the person I was with couldn't finish hers. The meat came with kind of plain cooked veggies in butter and a scoop of potatoes. So again, nothing to complain about, but I wouldn't rave, either. The decor and ambience were nice, as were the servers. Nothing particularly "bad," just nothing we'd rave about. read more

New to the area, we found this gem! Absolutely delicious, from their homemade bread to dessert, definitely deserves a return visit. We started with their peach sangria, then enjoy their homemade bread, followed by their cauliflower fritter appetizer. For dinner we had the Thai red curry vegetable dish with chicken added and a side of the most fluffiest and delicious basmati rice, and the scallop and shrimp over a mushroom asparagus risotto. Everything was cooked perfectly, the staff was lovely and if you haven't been... go!! read more

I have been to Orange Hill so many times, it is on my top five restaurant in Newburgh. First striking is the decor, walking in the bar is stunning! Their Cafe section is very chic while the dinning area is very romantic, specially in the winter when they turn on the fireplace. Plenty of tables they do buffet for Sunday brunch, it is beautifully layed out with a large array of items. The pear dessert and the bread pudding are mouth watering delicious. Their drinks are beautiful and will sneak up on you, so be careful with how many you drink. They have a fairly wine menu. Every single item my companion I have tried have been so delicious except for the oyster and spinach dish, not sure exactly what happened there but it was very disappointing in my opinion. Service is always so attentive, I can't say enough about their service. One of the most beautiful, hidden gem restaurant in the town of Newburgh a absolutely 100% hands down must go. read more

This restaurant is absolutely adorable. Listen. Pls excuse me but, that food was so delicious I didn't even remember to take pics. The decor is super adorable, fantastic family atmosphere, the servers super sweet and freindly. Service was excellent. A shitake load of parking. Nice and clean restaurant plus!!! the bathroom was clean and if you've read my other reviews you will know right away I'm a huge fan of clean bathrooms . I'm DEFINITELY coming back to this affordable spot with the rest of the family. Ohhh. I ordered chicken soup ( had veggies, tasted Delicious) chicken was oh so dam crunchy and tasty. Nothing overpowering as far as seasonings. Feerreeessshhhest French fries! The chicken sandwich was DELICIOUS especially that real Italian bread they use. 100 stars for me! read more

The experience here was a little hit and miss. For the most part, the food was delicious, but there were a few hiccups I think could be addressed. The seafood marinara sauce was surprisingly spicy and a little too sweet for my taste. The rack of lamb was to die for but the sides that accompanied the lamb were pretty mediocre. Overall the meal was good and I'd happily come back. As far as the service goes, I love chugging water and the constant refills had me elated. The food came out quite slowly though. The staff seemed a little frantic at times so probably just a busy night. read more

Wife and I have been wanting to try their brunch here for a while, well we tried & were under whelmed. $35 a person & food was ok, few things were good nothing great & none were horrible but.... Omelette station was good but slow & guy wasn't all that quick. Service was barely tolerable, had to 'flag down' someone to request coffee refills, never came to table. No salt / pepper on table, again had wave someone over to get some. French macaroons were great, rest of the desserts were ok.chocolate fountain had no real flavor & on tiny pieces of strawberry & some melon. No pineapple or marshmallows. Drove over from Wappingers and won't be making that trip again...... read more

Decent quality food - but lacking personality. Sort of like the "save my restaurant" Bravo show, where they toss the old menu & then introduce some trendy, small portion items on a square plate w/ a drizzle ? Also - the staff all seem very new at working in a restaurant. They came to the table every 5 min while we were looking at the menu, & then again every 5 min all throughout the meal, Interior is clean & new - but looks like it's all purchased from the TJ Maxx housewares clearance section - including a standing, large bookend that says "HELLO" in cursive. The craft beer selection is also all over the place, but not quite so good. Need at least one stout & one German pils on tap, The food honestly is not bad - more like everyone is clueless & has never been in a restaurant b4. The risotto was actually awesome. The lentil soup was mild, but very good. The beef short ribs were not short ribs at all - was tenderloin. They were still nice, though. read more

First of all, upon calling for a reservation, we were advised of a $10 per head charge. I guess they get a lot of reservations and then "no-shows". Nicely redone inside, but you could tell the bones were originally the Neptune diner, which had been there for many years. BTW, you need to replace the ugly big cracked tiles by the cash register area; an accident waiting to happen. We were a party of six, all first-timers. White tablecloths and then the 2-sided menu that was sealed in plastic? Quick service, maybe a little too quick; we felt kind of rushed. Food portions were substantial enough, although they were out of the Shrimp & scallop entree' (which 2 of us were requesting). A couple of the dishes came to the table cold. All-in-all, I would classify it as a step above diner food. Prices were reasonable. We may be back, next time for lunch. read more

Nice and clean inside. I got the swordfish and it was really good. The potatoes were also perfectly seasoned and cooked. My family didn't love it though. None of them loved their pasta dishes. My sister got the filet mignon and said it was overcooked and not very good. It was also overpriced, but the service was good. I'd recommend it, just be careful what you order. read more

We had the Cauliflower Fritters and they were one of the best things I've ever tasted! I got the Scallop and Shrimp Risotto with veggies and it was wonderful. It's not a secret this is my current favorite restaurant in Newburgh Ny. I have yet to order anything that I did not truly enjoy. My current favorite meal is theHudson valley duck. On this visit I did branch out to try a lunch special. I can't recall the name but it was a seafood dish that comes with fried fish, fried shrimp, fried calamari, and French fries. All of the seafood was very fresh and perfectly fried. The portion size was huge for the price- it was big enough for two meals. The dipping sauce is a chili mayo that is phenomenal. The fries I requested extra crunchy and they come with some type of seasoning that is amazing. I couldn't quite place the seasoning because it was perfectly present, not over seasoned at all. I didn't use ketchup because the fries were tasty alone. I ordered oysters Rockefeller because it is also a favorite here. How could anyone resist champagne foam? I can't wait to return for brunch in the future. The restaurant is currently under construction, however the dining room is still beautiful. This is definitely fitting for an impressive date night, business meeting, or bar meet up with the homies. They have a happy hour with specials too. I can not say enough good things about orange hill. Now the food has to be good if I'm not taking a star off for this negative... the service can be slow. Whether you sit at the bar or dine in. If there's a crowd or a few ppl it's always slow. Just keep in mind anything worth having is worth waiting for. read more

Overall a fairly satisfying dinner. Upon perusing the menu, I went with a review favorite, the spaghetti Bolognese. It came via DoorDash and though they kept pushing the time back (an extra 18 minutes), the DoorDash person was quick to get it into the hotel and to meet in the lobby. He was friendly and made sure I had a good grip of it because the entrée was heavy. You get a lot of food with this order. There's a lot of pasta, good tasting sauce, and meat. I thought the pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauce and meat weren't overly spicy or bland. Overall, it was a nice blend of texture and flavor. It would be nice if it came with a complementary side salad and most importantly, a side of utensils! It would be nice if these people thought about where the delivery is going and made a presumption that the people eating a meal might need something to eat with read more

So the food was delicious as always! I had the lunch special salmon and hubby had the lunch special shrimp and chicken breast. Both were fine. Our only issue is with the menu itself. It would be easier to have an options for the soup and salad and just cut down on the size for the special: cup of soup and house salad or small salad from the main menu. I got the salad that came with the special and it had cucumbers and green peppers which I don't eat so I sent that back and got a Caesar salad which was big and half of it would have worked!! Hubby got the soup and it was tomato which h he ate and was good but he would have preferred the mushroom! Anyway we love this restaurant and have never had a bad meal?! And that's what's important :) read more

The food was just ok. I got the chicken and it was dry. The staff looked miserable. From the person seating you, to the waiter taking the orders and everyone that worked there looked like they weren't happy and like we were bothering them. I've been there many times. This time was the worse. I won't be going there again. There are a lot of other places to eat. A smile goes a long way. Food was fantastic. Reasonably priced for what they served. The decor and ambiance was great. The staff was good but my wife and I were laughing the whole time because they were running around in a panic and we could not figure out why. Have eaten at the Orange Hill several times and the food is always very good. Service is excellent. Some things are better than others depending on what one orders. The filet mignon is very good. The appetizers are unique and very delicious. The buffet is very good but unless one plans to eat a large quantity of food it's too much. My girlfriends and I visited for lunch on a Monday. It was pretty quiet (my first time there) but my friends said it has a bustling Sunday brunch and it's been open over 2 years. I am not one to find restaurants in the middle of shopping and traffic areas attractive, but I have to say this meal was great. I ordered cream of mushroom soup along with a salad with shrimp, fresh apples, pecans and cranberries. The soup came in a big bowl and I LOVED it. I could not finish the salad and had to ask for a container. The atmosphere inside is very nice, the prices very reasonable and the service was excellent. read more

Just spending the night in Newburgh as we travel through the area. We did a search for restaurants near our motel, and this was one that came up. We pulled into the parking lot and were surprised at how few vehicles there were, but we saw people eating inside through the windows so we decided to give it a try. The first thing that struck us was the beautiful decor of the dining room. We were seated immediately, and brought water. Everything on the menu looked good, and the prices were reasonable. The waiter kept our water glasses full and our food was served in a reasonable amount of time. There were only about 8 other customers there the whole time.
