Snagged a last minute reservation at One With Land during a trip to the Hudson Valley. Our server Emory was kind and helpful -- she even learned the name of all six people at our table and remembered them for the entire dinner. The food at One With Land is sourced locally and tasted great. For our appetizer and main course we tried the potato croquettes, rainbow carrots, fusilli with short rib, garganelli primavera, rib eye steak, and the burger. Everyone's entrees tasted great and had large portion sizes. My favorite dish was the rainbow carrots with salsa macha -- the carrots were perfectly tender and the salsa macha had good flavor and spice. We ordered grandma's olive oil cake and dark chocolate-espresso torte for dessert, and the restaurant also brought out warm doughnuts as we were celebrating a birthday. All three desserts were delicious and unique, but the warm doughnuts with Nutella stole the show. The restaurant appears to be located in a historic house, and the interior decorating is very neutral and modern. Every detail large and small seemed carefully well thought out, from the service and table layouts to even the Aesop soap with pumice in the bathroom (that I would now like to buy). This is top farm to table restaurant for me! I love how the outside is like country farm house and you walk in and it's modern cool vibes through and through. It's a small restaurant and the layout and decorations are perfect! I would suggest having a reservation if you can, because it is tiny but not in a hole in the wall kind of way more in a cool private elite dining room kind of way. Shout out to the bar tender who is amazing. Rumor is she was working at the restaurant that was here before (Hoot Owl) and she was so good the owners of this new restaurant brought her here. I can believe it her drinks are impeccable! A friend told me an experience before about how she got a drink and not because of the bar tender but because of her palate she didn't prefer it. She wasn't going to complain. She just didn't drink it. The staff noticed her drink wasn't touched and they asked her about it. She explained it wasn't her preference so they took it and got her something else. That's exceptional service! She didn't say it they went to her! 10/10, all restaurants should have such attentiveness and kindness towards their customers. Now ...the food!! Wow! I mean I dream about this shaved celery salad they have. Like it's celery, which don't get me wrong I personally think it's one of the most important ingredients in a dish but when it's added to something not when it's the main star. They managed to make it the main star and it's beautiful, sophisticated, and most importantly it tastes good. Honestly everything I have tried here is yummy. The burger is probably the cheapest entree on their menu which is about $24 if I remember correctly. Don't think because it's a lesser price point you are missing out on quality or taste.The burger is huge, the fries are perfectly seasoned and crisp, and the burger patty is juicy and flavorful. Oh and the bun! That soft pillow bun that is holding that juicy patty....drooling! I truly have not had a dish here that they have done bad and I hope they never prove me wrong. As pricing goes it's farm to table so expect a higher price point since they are using quality ingredients but it's not high enough that it will break the bank! read more

Such a fantastic dinner experience here for our anniversary. Intimate and cozy ambiance for a date night or girls night. Emery was our server and just phenomenal. We had the ricotta crostini and sardine crostini, as well as the fusilli short rib pasta and chicken Milanese. Everything was on point, including the dessert (vanilla bean panna cotta- could not stop eating it!). We were also impressed by their extensive wine and cocktail menu. Absolutely 5 star, incredible, unforgettable experience at One With Land. We were enjoying ourselves so much that I forgot to take photos of the food unfortunately - which was plated so beautifully! I came here with 9 other girls for a bachelorette weekend. The restaurant is so cute with such a perfectly semi-casual but still fancy enough vibe to it. It's right next to a farm with horses as well and they encouraged us to go say hi to them!! The food was unbelievable.. the mushroom pate was out of this world. The celery salad was so fresh, the pasta's were so tasty, the trout was absolutely delicious, and all other dishes that we tried really just exceeded expectations and tasted so fresh and so well created the drinks were also delicious. I really enjoyed the Japanese Yuzu sour. The menu is honestly the perfect size. It had such a great range of appetizers and entrées that fit well within our group of meateaters, pescatarians and vegetarians alike. It was so easy to find something for everyone, as well as share several dishes, yet not be overwhelmed by the size of the menu. Ultimately, as delicious as the food was, and as much as we enjoyed the ambience, the star of the show was our waitress Emery (or Emory?). She really went above and beyond to make sure that we were all taken care of, that we were having a good time, and that we felt like part of the family. She learned all of our names, yes, all 10 of us. She was so friendly and so helpful in making recommendations on both what to order and how much of it to order to feed the group, she chatted with us about the area since we were new to it, and she was just overall so splendid and so incredible. It really made it so special for the soon to be bride that we were celebrating, as well as each and every one of us. She told us we could remember her name as Emery like 'memory', and she was absolutely memorable, living up to the rhyme! We had an amazing dining experience. Staff was incredibly friendly and food came out promptly. Food tasted very fresh and the protein and salad pairings were absolutely perfect. Prices are reasonable for what you get. The place was constantly busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Discovered this restaurant after hiking at Sam's point. A simple and cozy decor. Quite busy even after 8pm, glad we made a reservation. The food is delicate and delicious. Really enjoyed the spicy anchovy crostini, the fresh herbs and seasonings perfectly complement the anchovy and the sour dough bread is fresh. My trout was crispy on the skin and juicy inside. Love the fresh shaved fennel with pistachios, light and refreshing. The burger is great, the only flaw is the fries are too dark. The frying oil is due for a change. Emory's service and recommendations are amazing. Ended the night with the espresso chocolate torte, the sea salt gives an extra layer of the flourless cake that you can taste both chocolate and espresso that not too sweet. read more

Full disclosure that I live within 10 minutes of the restaurant. This place has changed hands over the years but now it is running properly and the food being served there is beyond excellent. My recent visit did not disappoint, the food taste and quality were beyond my expectations. From the drinks, appetizers, main course and desserts on a scale of one to ten were all at a 10+. You can tell the quality of a restaurant on how they serve simple dishes, I had the salmon for example. It was cooked to perfection and served over a cauliflower purée, while this sounds trivial the flavors worked amazing together. Had an incredible meal with another couple and our children on a Sunday night. Everything about the dinner was spectacular - the service, the food, the ambiance. We shared the mushroom and ricotta crostinis, cauliflower, watermelon, and lamb ribs to start. All of the "to share" and "small plates" were tasty... standouts were the mushroom crostini and cauliflower. For the mains, my wife and I shared the short rib fusilli and bone-in pork chop. The pork chop was one of the best pork chop dishes I've had in my life... the flavors of the perfectly cooked pork with the apricot topping were delectable. Fantastic food in a cozy, home-like ambiance. Tara and Chef Jared are so amazing, inviting, warm and make the place so special. We celebrated my wife's birthday with the most delicious brussel sprouts, market lettuces, wild salmon and cavatelli (the highlight). Every dish was sizable and excellent. This is by far the BEST restaurant my husband have been to in a long time. We had mushroom crostini which was to die for, anchovie crostini which was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. *****Warning****You need to make sure anchovies are your thing because there are whole slices of anchovies on the toast( chef's kiss). We also had the Brussel sprouts, rigatoni and pork chops and nothing disappointed. For dessert we had dark chocolate espresso torte and vanilla bean panna cotta. Good energy as soon as you walk in & I'll dream about the short rib rigatoni until I can get it again. Dare I say the best martini I've ever had? So we didn't realize but we came during restaurant week so ended up getting a starter and dessert. They were moving quite slow. It was an hour before we got our starters and we ordered right away. The staff didn't check on us during dinner either. As a table we agreed that the starters were BOMB. Super delicious. However, the entree left us unimpressed. I got the cut up steak and broccoli. Which it seemed like the broccoli was the biggest possible pieces they could find and charred it up so that it was almost inedible. Again it took another 40 mins after our starter to get the main entree. I really wanted to like this place. It is close to home and the inside ambience was so cute. They are newly opened but everything we had from drinks, to appetizers, to main course was absolutely delicious! Ellie was our server and she was very knowledgable and has great recommendations. Stumbled in - after unexpectedly being diverted off the NYS Thruway - and misunderstood Waze instructions to get us back on course. So that's how we found this cool place through Yelp. It's another Yelp find for my husband and I. Sorry locals - exposing this hidden gem to the rest of the universe. After being greeted graciously - we were told they'd try to get us in - we curiously (it was not busy when got there - it got busy - for good reason) waited at the bar and the pleasure of meeting mixologist Tara - who made 4 different but perfect drinks for me my husband and our travel partners as we waited for a table. After getting seated - ordered APPS - outstanding. Each came with their own unique sauce - homemade/fresh/delicious. Lamb Ribs - 10+, Fried Veggie with Parm 10+, Sweet Potatoes, Killer Celery Salad. ENTREES did not disappointment either - Scallops , Chicken and Pork were orders of our group - they were all prepared expertly in Manhattan quality.
