Here are some of the dishes I ordered that I would highly recommend: Fried Brussels sprouts: Perfectly cooked, with sliced grapes adding just the right touch of sweetness. I came here for dinner and I was wonderfully impressed. First the place is small and it does not stand out. Secondly when you walk in; it is nicely decorated. The service was great the employees were very welcoming and attentive. The food was amazing, I had the fish, it was so good. I still think about it. The fish was crispy and the sauce was delicious. My friend and I went hiking about 15 minutes away. That provided us an opportunity to have lunch. I found An Artistic Taste on Yelp and it looked amazing. We almost decided not to go at the last minute, when we took a look at the pictures of the food and thought it might be too fancy for people who just hiked. Turns out, they just go the extra mile on plating, to provide food that looks as good as it tastes. We walked in to a modern and comfortable restaurant at about 1 on a Saturday. We were able to get a table for 2. Our waitress Nubian was fantastic, she provided perfect recommendations throughout the meal and took clear pride in the restaurant. We opened with the house made lemonade, spectacular! The ginger and rosemary were a nice touch. My friend and I tend to share dishes, so we can try more. We ordered one of their brunch dishes, Mangu Tres Golpas, their jerk chicken, and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. The Mangu dish was the best version of it that I've had. Perfectly fried egg, flavorful plantain mash, the best thick slices of fried salami, and heavenly fried cheese that was the perfect amount of salty and rich. Stacked together, it was a symphony of flavors. Symphony of flavor is a perfect way to describe the other dishes as well. The jerk chicken was a half chicken, that had a hint of smokiness from the grill and the perfect hit of spice. The chicken came with pickled cabbage and rice and beans that were all exceptional accompaniments. The crescendo of the symphony is truly their Brussels sprouts! This is a stunning dish. Best Brussels sprouts dish I've ever had and I order and cook a lot of Brussels sprouts. Theirs features perfectly roasted Brussels sprouts, toasted walnuts, pops of sweetness from sherry grapes, and a mint yogurt that turns into a luscious sauce. At that point I had absolutely stuffed my face, I had to hit the bathroom and clean my face. Truly one of the most enjoyable eating experiences I've had in a while. After recovering we couldn't pass up the banana bread dessert. The banana bread base was tender, the brûlée bananas and vanilla ice cream took the dessert to the next level. Extremely disappointed in this (lack of) experience. Was recommended this place by someone in the area and was looking forward to try the food. Unfortunately, that opportunity was not offered to me and my family. Arrived at about 5:10pm and the establishment was full, I asked how long the wait would be and was informed 20ish minutes. Although I live in city, I was out shopping today and decided my birthday is coming up and might as well stay out here for a nice meal rather than making my way back home immediately. I gave my number and waited patiently to receive that phone call. After around 35 minutes, I get a phone call and boy am I excited-- as my appetite has only grown. Little did I know this was not going to go as planned. I was informed by a very sweet but frazzled worker that the restaurant "overbooked" the reservations and a "buy out" whatever that means in restaurant terms, and that "they wont be taking anymore walk ins after 6pm". It's still before 6pm though and I'm a walk up from 5pm??? Is there no room for one four top that walked in an hour before this walk up cut off time??? Obviously, I'm very frustrated because although she says it was a mix up in their system I can't help but to be miffed at the fact it took my whole original wait time to learn about this information. I relayed this to her and she tried her best to mediate offering me, if I leave a number, a free dessert when I come back. I live 2 hours away so possible dessert in the future(for a restaurant I've never even been to) isn't really a selling point when I'm hangry now. I want to note my bias, as I write this very hungry and very frustrated. I know mix ups happen, but I do believe people deserve a warning if they try to go here as a walk up. You never know when a mysterious reservation may pop up and leave you empty handed... or should I say leave you on an empty stomach. read more

Overall 3.8/5 so I round up my review to 4 stars. Food (3.5/5): I and my friend ordered the chicken and waffles (3/5). I love chicken and waffles and believe I have a pretty high standard for them. So keep that in mind when I provide my opinion. The chicken was seasoned well-- very tasty-- the best I've had since moving to the Northeast. It was crispy and juicy. The waffles on the other hand were fluffy and came out barely warm. I didn't ask for them to be reheated and maybe I should have. But I despise when hot food doesn't come out hot. So that was a turn off. I drank the lavender ginger lemonade (4/5). You NEED to like ginger if you're going to drink this beverage. The ginger flavor is strong. I like ginger so I enjoyed the drink. Service (4/5): They were quick and efficient with service but also friendly! I appreciate the server providing insight about the different types of lemonade. She warned me about needing to like ginger before ordering the lavender ginger lemonade. As soon as I took a sip, I understood immediately. Toward the end of our service they were rushing us out which was annoying. I and my friend still had food on my plate and we were actively eating and she asked if we were done which is fine. She's doing her job but between her and another person working the floor they kept coming back to our table. We weren't deliberately taking our time or eating slow, we just weren't done so I found that to be excessive and annoying. Ambience (4/5): the restaurant is small and cute. The ambience is quaint however the music choice is on point and the staff is very attentive and skillfully efficient. I started with the raspberry rose lemonade 4/5, it was sweet and flavorful . For dinner I had the special, curry goat with white rice. Now I've had plenty of curry goat but this was fall off the bone tender and perfectly seasoned, I do wish I had a bit more rice, but it's fine, the goat was portioned generously. 5/5 Accompanied with the goat I had plantains they had an aïoli and cheese on top and was an unexpected perfect combo 5/5. Came here following a hike in search of gluten-free food. The location is a small mall which is somewhat concealed. Initially we were unsure because the staff did not immediately acknowledge us but later it cleared up that they thought were part of another group that they had already attended to.
