I had pretty high hopes for this place but they really dropped the ball in a bunch of ways. Let's start with the positives. It's a cute and charming little place. They had live music which was nice and decorated adorably for fall. I was especially hopeful since they seemed to be vegan friendly. We were greeted right away and sat and ordered within 5 minutes which was another plus. I was excited to try their vegan Mac and cheese balls and their black bean burger and despite advertising beef tallow fries, they have a designated vegan fryer. Now... where it all went downhill. Those Mac and cheese balls tasted horrible. They had almost no initial taste and the aftertaste was like soap and the texture was complete mush. And no, there was no cilantro that registered like soap. This straight up tasted like a mushy soap bomb. We waited a really long time for our food. Our waitress disappeared without saying anything and another person asked us if we wanted our check when we still hadn't gotten our main entrees. After a while, we got our food. My black bean burger was just ok. But they didn't prepare it like I requested. I ordered the blackened blue burger with a black bean patty. I believe it was $14 and was supposed to come blackened with Cajun seasoning and a vegan blue cheese and I skipped the bacon. I was asked if I wanted to vegan bun and said sure. When the bill came, my $14 burger was $21.50. I was charged for a custom burger and every single thing was an upgrade on top of it. Nothing about that burger was worth $21.50. It was barely worth $14. I was so upset that none of this was communicated to me. I've had worse food, which is why it's 2 starts instead of 1. But if I'm ever in this area again, I'll never come back. read more

Good place for American food and drinks/beers. We really enjoyed their drink in a tilted glass (blackberry something). Tried 3 sliders with all 3 meat types (because I couldn't pick one from good burger selection they have), grilled chicken burger, French onion soup and mozzarella sticks. Everything was delicious and well prepared, but marinara sauce too watery for my taste. Service was good, friendly staff. Enough space and big bar. Only annoying part was that all our chairs were shorter on one leg and kept tilting, had to balance to sit straight. I think it's an easy fix and should be addressed. Beer prices are a little high, so I'd recommend coming during happy hour, but I loved all the brews I tried. This is a go-to salad & beer place for me, as I find their salads all to be reliably good. The other members in my party liked their food as well, which included the chicken quesadilla, french onion soup, and fries. NOTE: All fried items are cooked in beef tallow unless requested otherwise, and they must be gluten-free to be cooked in the gluten-free/vegan fryer. I've been here in the fall as well, when it was heavily decorated for Halloween, but it seems the normal ambience includes hanging plants and string lights, giving it an almost café feel. This was my second time trying this place. It's a very homey place with warm decor. They had lights up which was a nice touch. For appetizer we ordered the French onion soup and the mozzarella sticks. Both were very good. For entree we ordered the build your own burger and the mutt's chicken sandwich. Both were good. The ambience is getting ready for Halloween which is awesome - you can see a sneak peek so far - it's a funny cozy comfy place and comfort food on the menu ! If you don't want to eat in Woodbury it's right up the road not far. Drinks were on point and food was great. Service was cool very laid back but made sure to keep checking on our table. Randomly stopped here on a drive back home due to the reviews. So glad we did! Sat at the bar Jordan and Micheal waited on us both were great! husband had the wings and he said they were amazing. I had the nachos and they were fantastic.. my husband said it was the best Long Island iced tea he's ever had and the Hugo spritz I had was excellent. what might be considered a dive bar the cocktail program is amazing. Nice lunch place near the outlets. Friendly service however took a bit long to serve food. For a small town, I was surprised the food was actually good that's why I looked so hard on yelp to find a good spot! I got the cowboy mac n cheese which had pulled pork with bbq sauce. This place is awesome! Their food is delicious, drinks (cocktails and beer) are extensive, and the service is amazing. Be prepared, this place can be busy and loud, but it's worth it. When you look at it from the side, you would never guess how nice it is inside, I think that might be part of the charm. We aren't local, but we always grab a bite when we are in town. read more

We were hungry hippos after shopping at the Woodbury Commons shopping center all day and an informative young gentleman (hello Anthony!) at the Tods store recommended this restaurant. Literally minutes away from the shopping center, this place was more like "Cheers" than a restaurant. Plenty of tables were available at 8:30 on a Saturday night, but the bar was full to capacity. Our server Justin was affable and knowledgeable about the menu. We quickly ordered the French onion soup, a black and blue burger (bacon and blue cheese) and a brisket burger. A house stout and a gingery cider accompanied our meal. Saturday night is also karaoke night here and some pretty talented folks performed their hearts out. Good food, good music, good vibes. We almost turned around and left as it appeared as there was nobody there and no cars in the front which was odd during dinner time. But we trusted the rating. The wings were excellent! I like the bar atmosphere and the employees, but there's no air conditioning, and it was extremely hot inside when I visited. It's hotter in this bar then it is outside. I honestly don't know how the employees manage to work in that heat--huge respect to them for staying friendly and helpful despite the uncomfortable conditions. The staff really are the highlight here--they're doing their best, but it's hard to enjoy the experience when you're sweating just standing still. Management seriously needs to invest in cooling the space. Customers are uncomfortable, and it's not fair to expect employees to work in that kind of heat. I'd love to come back when it's more comfortable, but for now, I hope they make some changes. read more

Satisfying in that childhood way, when you're craving comfort food that will keep you full the whole day. Very fatty and calorie loaded. Don't even want to imagine the hit my liver took with all that BBQ sauce, cheese, and pulled pork toppings. All the burgers come with fries and will keep you full the whole day. The $19 Cowboy burger was superb--juicy, big patty with pulled pork, BBQ sauce and fried onions toppings, plus the traditional burger fixings of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. The meat wasn't too bad on the sodium, which was appreciated. Ask for your fries to be less salty--you will enjoy them more. Sweet potato fries were delicate and a healthier alternative that did not compromise on taste. $19 Birdseye burger was equally delicious [for those who like an egg on top of their burger]. We were just passing through and needed to grab a bite to eat. I stumbled upon this spot on yelp. It had great reviews and the food looked delish. When we got there, it was mid day on a Saturday and the place was empty. We had the whole place to ourselves, which I didn't mind. They also decorated pretty over the top for the holidays but I didn't mind that either. In fact, it gave the place character. We started out with vegan, gf Mac and cheese balls. They were creamy and crunchy. They were vegan so they didn't taste like I'd expected but they were good anyways. Those were followed by a bomb burger, which was cooked perfectly and balanced all kinds of delicious flavors. The fries were also addicting. Overall we had a really good experience. The food was really tasty considering its a bar scene. It's also located in a small strip mall/plaza so it's easy to judge a book I'm by it's cover. But give this place a shot! read more

Not very kind, particularly shallow from someone who had the answers. I have been to several trivia throughout the neighborhood in Warwick, Florida, in higher rated locations and never has the host collected the sheet for him to do the scores. I mean really it's a game. There should be a trust in the player being able to evaluate his own score Even the consolation price was insulting. It was those little sticky jelly looking kind of strips. I can't even imagine why anybody would buy something like that to give out. It would be somebody very cynical, narcissistic kind of attitude that would enjoy, giving out miserable consolation prices. I mean really, isn't the point of having a trivia night to have fun while checking your knowledge and ideas? Sorry but never again will I come if he's the entertainment. Another successful trip at one of our favorite local spots. I'd you haven't tried the food here please do yourself a favor and do it now. It's remarkable. The gluten free and vegan options are killer! Last night I tried out their GF chicken tenders (made in house and fried in a dedicated GF frier), with a gluten free bun to make myself a crispy chicken sandwich. Let's just say I was in HEAVEN. Hard to find a good gluten free sandwich around! And they perfect it. The bartender/server Melinda - what a treat it is to see her and chat with her. Been hearing good things about this restaurant so decided to try this for a meet up halfway of friends (living in Rockland and Orange counties). Thankfully we called ahead and made a reservation, it was Friday at 7. My husband and I arrived a few mins early and while we waited for the rest of the group to arrive, approximately 8 other parties walked in, making the place completely full, tables and bar! Needless to say the servers were overwhelmed. It worked out that we were not in a rush and we ordered much later since we spent a bunch of time catching up. The service was a little slow, but we understood they were slammed. The food was really good and we loved the food and beer selections as well as the specials. Cowboy nachos and burgers were good, pork tostada and chicken parm quesadillas were both great! We'd def come back, and hope that we pick a less busy time.
