My husband and I absolutely love coming here. I was so happy to see that they had the beef barely on the specials menu. That soup is very delicious. We also decided to get the nacho fries , its always so delicious. You can even make it into a meal that's how filling it is. For my entreee I decided to get the steak quesadilla it was very delicious. I think next time I will get the grilled chicken, that's what my husband got and I liked that one better. Either way it was very delicious. For dessert we decided to get there delicious cheesecake and wow it was very delicious. The service is always great and the over all ambiance is amazing too. Came to this spot with my best friend after shopping nearby at Woodbury Commons. Was greeted immediately after walking in by the bartender, Joe. There's no hostess on the weekdays but we didn't notice. Ordered a Pina Colada and a Dirty Martini and they were both made to perfection. We ordered the Aztec Honey Barbeque wings since it was wing night and they were crispy and delicious. I ended up ordering the bacon wrapped scallops and a side salad with blood orange vinaigrette. Both were delicious. Shortly after our food came out the owner, Rob showed up and greeted us. Everyone was extremely courteous and pleasant and the food was inexpensive and very good. We even conversed with Rob for a while eating. The whole experience was delightful and I highly recommend it. The ambiance was very comfortable and gives a friendly small town vibe. I haven't lived in Monroe for a long time but come back to see my parents on occasion. Every time I come back it seems there is a new spot to try out. I couldn't be more pleased with the tequila grill. It was excellent. I have been there twice so far each time it's very consistent with EXCELLENT service. First time I went there I had the Cobb salad with chicken. It was huge, and so fresh. The salad was really good, one of the better cobbs I've had. The second time I decided to go with the crab Mac and cheese to share and the steak sandwich. Both were excellent. They give large portions and the pricing is beyond fair. Monroe is very lucky to have a spot like this. The view on the patio is great too if your into golf. They serve great local beers as well. The server we had both times suggested one for me and he didn't disappoint. He is really attentive, sparks up a convo, and is really great at what he does. I'm happy to go back any time I stop back in town. Seems to be a great place to hang with friends on a nice day!! read more

One of our quick and easy go-to's for sure. We've had almost everything from their menu. Our favorites seem to be the tg burger or chicken sandwich. They also have to die for french fries that are thin and crispy, seasoned just a little spicy but pairs perfectly with their side of chipotle aoili. The view outside on the deck is nice. We love this place. Nothing much to say. We were not aware of them when the opened (they are around the corner from our house). We decide to give it a try and started with the nachos. Well I have to tell you not really sure what anything else on the menu tastes like because we have ordered the nachos over and over for all of 2019. The owner is a phenomenal guy. Just so delightful, the staff fantastic. We look forward to actually dining in and exploring the rest of the menu in 2020 but we will round out the year with their nachos. read more

This was our second visit to Tequila Grille. We came on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend at about 6:45 PM. There were about 4 tables, all outside, as well as about half a dozen people at the bar. We sat outside but wound up moving inside before our food arrived as it was getting too cold. I ordered two appetizers: the fish tacos and beet & goat cheese sliders, which I'd had the first time. My husband ordered the Tres Muskateros, a steak, chicken and shrimp combo over rice and beans. So, when the food arrived everything had a "charred" color. The fish on my tacos looked blackened tho it was not. The fish was overcooked. The slaw consisted of mainly big pieces of cabbage stem and there was no sauce other than a dry salsa on the side. The sliders were a bit better tho I had to leave the tops off the buns as they were hard - made quite a noise when tapped on the table! And sadly, those stems were in the slaw on those as well. The beets and goat cheese were good though. As for my husband's combo - I think since it was slow the chef may have gone to the bar to watch the baseball game while our food was cooking. Everthing was overdone and dry. Well done steak is an understatement. It was too tough to eat and got wrapped for the dog. The rice had a few beans sprinkled in and there was no sauce or anything moist or juicy on the plate. Again, the only accompaniment was that very dry salsa. All in all, a terribly disappointing meal. The waitress was sweet and accommodating and the only bright spot in our visit. read more

Food was very good but the service was poor. We were seated on the deck at about 5:00pm on a Saturday.There we two other couples already dinning outside. Shortly after we sat down a group of three were seated. The inside of the restaurant was empty, aside from a few people at the bar. It took several minutes for a young woman to come to our table and take our drink and dinner order. After taking our order we never saw her again. Our salad came out before we even got our drinks. When a male server brought our drinks he placed my husband's beer glass on the table holding it from the top (his fingers and thumb around the rim of the glass). He said to me "here is your margarita", I ordered sangria. He left with it then came back saying "sorry I thought it was a margarita this is your drink". Our dinners came out in a timely manner and were very good. A female server placed our meals in front of us but did not seem to know the names of the dishes. Unfortunately a server never came back to our table to check on us. My husband placed his empty beer glass on the edge of the table. The male server and another female server walked by several times. No one approached the table or asked if we would like another round of drinks. Overall a yummy meal but due to the service I'm not sure if we will return. read more

Chicken Francese tastes like it's from one of my favorite Italian restaurants and comes with asparagus and veggies that are always cooked to perfection. Tres Muskateros comes with thin sliced steak that has an amazing marinade. Wings, burgers and fries are always good. Giving this place a 1 star..and that is being over generous..I have neen going to this place on numerous occasions..first off the bar staff is not very customer, attention friendly. They have got upset when I stated about my mix drink not being severd as I asked for . also I have has drinks poured into dirty unsanitary glasses. I have some occasional issues with my food not being served, they way I asked for it. It seems to be for what customers they like.. I am not a chronic restaurant complainer..finally it seems the bar will give a free drink on the house to its favorite customers..I have always left a generous tip,even with my posting here about my unhappy comments. I think you should tip as you see how you are treated by the staff..if a customer is not happy, then the staff ot its manager should try to accommodate them. If the staff makes every effort to fix your concerns then you will remember this ,for the future of your visits.. read more

I thought this restaurant had been renovated and was under new management because they were closed for a while and the name changed, but the inside doesn't look like it's been updated at all... it's in pretty rough shape, and the food has not improved. I was there for lunch and we were the only people in the restaurant. The waitress was nice, but made herself very scarce. I ordered tacos, which were awful, so I didn't eat them (I picked up a bagel on my way back to work). The waitress never came back after delivering the food, so I wasn't able to address the taco issue, although I wouldn't have ordered anything else anyway. My parents had the burgers, which they said were tasteless and the fries were a cross between steak fries and potato chips... just really thin, dry, crunchy fries... no bueno.
