I was told this restaurant is in the old Equilibrium brewery place. Downstairs it looked lie a tap room and upstairs there is a bar and seating to enjoy your meal. When I went they had live music and the band was pretty darn good. Our waitress was soo very nice and took my food allergies seriously. She was really really awesome. I had the sliders with cheddar cheese and a side salad, my friends had the shrimp salad and another order of sliders. Our food was delicious! They also had a great beer list on tap and bottles/ cans. My friends and I really wanted some drinks and food and we stumbled into this gem of a spot. This used to be the venue for Equilibrium if the building looks familiar. I hesitate to write this review as during the week it's become my afternoon hang out. Quiet enough to talk business but great food (the chicken tacos are always fantastic) and drinks. I've even taken a leadership class here for drinks, and somehow everyone was happy (how often does that happen???) Evenings get busier but still fun. From the minute I contacted Paul, he was nothing but helpful and accommodating! I contacted him multiple times in order to finalize everything for my husband's surprise 40th birthday. He always got back to me almost instantly! The food was amazing, and anytime anything ran out there was someone right there to fill it so there was never a time anyone was looking for food. I had the party in their private room, and if there was something that wasn't readily available at that bar, they got it from the upstairs bar that was open to the public with no issue. After a long wait with no service, we take the initiative and get our first round via the bar. Finally, an employee comes...and takes a detour to the karaoke stage. We only know shes an employee because she's announced as such, and shouts out her fellow employees. The crocks, jeans, and belly shirt were a great disguise. So first things first, this place has great food. I was lucky enough to go on a Saturday for continued St. Patrick's day celebrations and this place was great. Service was very attentive the staff was all on point, from the bartenders to the wait staff. The kitchen had their act together and high quality food was flying out the door. A+ tonight for sure. The place was clean, well maintained and welcoming. The tall stools need to go and get replaced with shorter tables as it makes no sense for people who are drinking to be so high in the air. LOL. A side from that the layout is a bit odd but still very spacious. I guess it really all depends on how full the place is and what kind of event are they doing that night. Keep up the amazing work. Incredible! My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here and everything was great: apps, dinner, desert, drinks--everything was even better than expected. They were so accommodating with all our requests and really let us make the space our own. They even played our playlist throughout the restaurant. Would recommend to anyone! Just wanted to add that about 5 of our guests have said to me how amazing their pumpkin spice espresso martini was. Absolute crowd favorite! I've been here a couple times now. Each time, I feel like I form a different opinion about the place. The first time I came, I honestly wasn't impressed by this place. It was during the first month that I moved to Middletown and I think I came on a weekday evening and it was pretty boring lol. And the beer prices were pretty average, so nothing really to pull me back here. I came back again because some friends invited me for some live music and I had a great time that night. I'm not sure if the great time was created by my friends who are actually dancing and setting in a great mood in the place or bc of the live music and the location. Probably the former but I'll give them credit. I do like that they have craft beers available and their draft options do rotate. I am not sure if they have a happy hour but it would be great if they had some daily specials too for those of us that work late lol. I'm still getting used to Middletown and it's quietness but this far is not a bad choice for a suburban "city ". If you're looking for a really chill setting just to grab a beer, this place will do.
