Love the potential! As we walked in, we were thinking, "this a 5 Star gem in the land of Goshen." The groove of 70's music was playing at the perfect volume, the lighting was soft but not too bark. We sat in the round table in the back corner with a view of the entire joint! Everything thing was great, UNTIL, the cook received a FaceTime call from his girl five minutes after we sat down. FaceTime, without earbuds, which means, speaker at max volume the entire time we were there. (45 minutes) At one point, the cook needed to refill his water bottle to wash down the food he was eating while cooking our aged Prime steaks. ( the bill was $190) Still on the FaceTime call with volume on max, he cluelessly walked by our table. We were thinking the bartender and server would say something to him as he got water at the bar, but they were too busy making googly eyes and playing touchy-feely with each other to notice. Then, a manly gentleman walked in liked he owned the place with an adorable little girl and we were thinking this guy put an end the cook's call. Well, we thought wrong, it appeared the little girl was the bartender's daughter. When man and little girl left, the sever and bartender went back to giggling and touching as the cook rambled on with his lady on FaceTime. (side note, as with the cook, my wife and I both speak Spanish, but it would not be appropriate for us to share with you what their conversation was about) Long story short, our hopes were dashed even though the food wasn't bad. Good food, service was not what a restaurant that charges that much should be. The waiter carried the martinis over with his ham hocks all over the rim and then a thumb in the other one. In addition, a 20% tip was added to our bill for service and didn't catch it and tipped additional amount! There was a tip table on a receipt with a tip added already. The atmosphere was fun and inviting, and the owners were incredibly accommodating when we had to move our reservation earlier due to an incoming winter storm. Our group of eight was seated by a front window, giving us a beautiful snowy street view of the village of Goshen--such a cozy touch! The food was excellent. The appetizers were larger than expected and perfect for sharing--the kimchi on the cucumber salad was amazing, and we absolutely devoured the burrata. Our entrées were just as delicious, and a few of us were so full we had to take some home. Despite the busy night, the staff was friendly, attentive, and on top of our orders. The place to get vaccinated via syringe filled with "something" created by the crack pot unlicensed pharmacist behind the bar. Imagine in your head a mad scientist in a lab coat creating a concoction behind the bar and handing it over in a syringe. You have no clue what's inside but you're excited to take this vaccination. That's the experience here which makes it totally fun! The bar portion and wacky beverages they have created and serve here are really fun and encourages experimentation. I see this place being a neat hangout spot to get tipsy with an Uber on standby to get you home. If you plan on buying food I recommend taking a few brews created by the mad scientist behind the bar so that it enhances the food flavors because the food needs flavor enhancing by that smoking potion the unlicensed pharmacist will hand you. I had a burger with fries and said burger was average at best, certainly not something I'd run out to get unless I was drunk. Anyone that thinks the food here is 5 star is likely writing their review while still at the restaurant and fully intoxicated. If they go back to their initial review of this place sober the shocking expression on their faces would be similar to waking up to a one night stand after a serious hang over only to see the ugliest person you've ever met laying next to you in the morning! The wings were over done , the burgers did not really have much of a flavor . The shrimp and scallop however was decent . In the area and wanted to try something local and man did we hit it out of the park here. The service was amazing, Bella was helpful attentive and super accommodating. The vibe or ambiance was great. We came here on a whim on Easter and were so glad we stopped. It was the truly best dining experience that we have had in years! Service was impeccable and the food incredible. My boys shared the filet mignon and devoured almost all of it. One of my 8 year olds was raising his hands to the sky with his eyes closed, that's how much he enjoyed his meal. I had the Cajun penne which was loaded with chicken and sausage and so delicious my husband ate it on our 4 hour drive home. He had the lamb and said it was perfect as well. For dessert my kids loved the make your own smores and husband had pot de creme. I had affogato. All delicious. Staff was so friendly, bathrooms nice and clean. Oh, and the drinks were awesome. No question that we'll be back here again next time we head to Legoland. Was up in Warwick for the weekend with my wife, and we were looking for a good meal on Yelp. The menu here sounded really intriguing so we went to the reviews and got quite the entertaining story about what would likely happen. Without many other options for what we were looking for, we decided to give it a try. We were seated and ordered drinks right away. A customer then came parading through the resturant loudly telling all the patrons that we would have to wait a long time for our food as there was no manager on duty. She went on to say that other tables had gotten up and left and she was leaving. My wife and I were thinking "Here comes the drama that we read about!" But we got our drinks and appetizer very quickly and our waitress even brought over samples of wines and beer for my wife to try. We got our food in decent time, nothing I would complain about or even question, everything went smoothly in our service, and the food was actually very good! For the price, we were quite impressed. While waiting for our food, we did see some more of the drama we read about, when our very overwhelmed waitress got into a loud argument with one of the cooks and then proceeded to loudly discuss this argument with other staff behind the bar, which was a bit awkward, but other than that our experience here was great. Note, price was not listed for house cocktails. My drugstore cowboy tasted more like a large glass of fireball than anything that resembled scotch or fig. My girlfriend stated her mezcal drink tasted like normal tequila....We later learned they were out of mezcal when the 2nd waitress mentioned it to our other group members. Along with another large group having arrived prior to us (530 reservation), The restaurant filled up by 7pm, to be expected. Numerous other drink orders and nothing to write home about. All of our food was delicious but the menu has no identity, from buffalo wings to rice bowls to lobster and (pricey) steak to burgers...there's a little too much of everything. On top of 3-4 specials. The chef(s) here knows what they're doing and should narrow things down a little. After some less than attentive waitressing we finally got the check which was quite a bit higher than we anticipated. $13 cocktails! That will run your bill up fast. This price is too high for the area regardless of quality of curated cocktails especially if price is NOT LISTED ON THE MENU. We might not have ordered so many. Additionally, it it would have been nice to be given notice that 20% gratuity would be added since we had 8+. Here are a couple key takeaways to know before you go: - Make SURE to make a reservation online before showing up!!! They will turn you down if you don't have one, even if it's a Monday afternoon. Save yourself the trouble and book prior to arriving. - The service was amazing. We were greeted upon arrival and the server checked in on us multiple times at all the right times. Our waiter even showed us a couple magic tricks!!!! So awesome!!! Even the food runner made sure we were okay after placing our food down. We never had to request water because the staff was constantly refilling our glasses. We appreciated the conscientiousness of the wait staff and look forward to visiting again! - Bubble gum shots? Do it. They're served in syringes and then poured before you into shot glasses before you take it. 10/10 best shot I've ever had! - If you order the clams or oysters, make sure you ask to have bread along with it. Please notice the tone of the owner's response to my review. He is a very angry man with a failing business. It shows by his reply. I said the food was decent just this place is a total clip joint and way overpriced. Hopefully he fixes this and hires better servers to give better service.
