So first things first, this place has great food. I was lucky enough to go on a Saturday for continued St. Patrick's day celebrations and this place was great. Service was very attentive the staff was all on point, from the bartenders to the wait staff. The kitchen had their act together and high quality food was flying out the door. A+ tonight for sure. The place was clean, well maintained and welcoming. The tall stools need to go and get replaced with shorter tables as it makes no sense for people who are drinking to be so high in the air. LOL. A side from that the layout is a bit odd but still very spacious. I guess it really all depends on how full the place is and what kind of event are they doing that night. Keep up the amazing work. Incredible! My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here and everything was great: apps, dinner, desert, drinks--everything was even better than expected. They were so accommodating with all our requests and really let us make the space our own. They even played our playlist throughout the restaurant. Would recommend to anyone! Just wanted to add that about 5 of our guests have said to me how amazing their pumpkin spice espresso martini was. Absolute crowd favorite! One guest even told me that Harrison, the bartender, made a custom drink for her. It was so good she asked me to get the recipe from him and Paul at the venue later. I've been here a couple times now. Each time, I feel like I form a different opinion about the place. The first time I came, I honestly wasn't impressed by this place. It was during the first month that I moved to Middletown and I think I came on a weekday evening and it was pretty boring lol. And the beer prices were pretty average, so nothing really to pull me back here. I came back again because some friends invited me for some live music and I had a great time that night. I'm not sure if the great time was created by my friends who are actually dancing and setting in a great mood in the place or bc of the live music and the location. Probably the former but I'll give them credit. I do like that they have craft beers available and their draft options do rotate. I am not sure if they have a happy hour but it would be great if they had some daily specials too for those of us that work late lol. I'm still getting used to Middletown and it's quietness but this far is not a bad choice for a suburban "city ". If you're looking for a really chill setting just to grab a beer, this place will do. Went here for weekend brunch. We went at 11 and it was quiet at first (except for the music). Paul, our waiter, was attentive, funny, and accommodating. I got the rice bowl, which was alright, and the waffles, which tasted like cake. I liked that. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs with potatoes, all of which he said needed seasoning. But the steak was cooked just right. He also got the breakfast burrito, b which was his favorite. The mimosas were the highlight. Perfection. Paul made my boyfriend a long island iced tea, which was the best I've ever had. Good job Paul! I'd go back just for the mimosas and Paul, honestly. You deserve to order their wings! OMG the best combination of crunchy texture and juicy flavor. We ordered Fried Brussels Sprouts, garlic parmesan, and thai chili wings. The Sprouts were evenly seasoned similar to roast/more than over breaded. They were delicious as leftovers, too! What a great hidden gem! We were traveling back to Pittsburgh from Maine and found Tapped on a Yelp search. We both had the BEST smash burger ever! Everything about it was just what a good smash burger should be. The cheese was perfectly melted the burgers were juicy but not overly greasy and the onion rings on the side were superb! This is a half review only because we left before we could get service. Came here on a Saturday evening and grabbed a seat with my girlfriend. The place is a nice bi-level space with two bars. Parking lot across the street that is convenient. This a half review because we waited a good 10-15 minutes in which no one came to greet us or take our order. We later moved to another table where a bus boy came to clean the table. We waited about 5 more minutes with no luck. From what we could see there were a couple of servers but they were sitting. The place was not crowded and the evening band was setting up. I am not really sure what happened here but we ended up leaving. "Holy Tapped Out & Confused Batman!" Am I at Tapped or Equilibrium?? I will say visiting this place was SO confusing. You'd think it was as simple as driving up to the front door and simply walking in. Well when I got there I saw a sign that pointed toward the back of the building for the "Taproom" so if that's a completely different thing then the name Tapped is confusing because I thought the entrance was around back. I decided to keep it simple and just walk in the front door presented before me and presto I was inside. Entrance and identity confusion aside I visited on a VERY quiet evening with maybe 3-5 patrons inside at best. I really wanted to visit when they had an event but I really wanted to get out for a date night and it turned out to be a relaxing evening. Staff is great and the food is really good! I got some pulled pork in the form of sliders along with house fries and experimented with a random beer that wasn't exactly my cup of tea but heck I was being adventurous. My date got some fish and chips which she throughly enjoyed. Really nice spot to eat and I'd love to return on an event night which they seem to do often. read more

We sat down and ordered endless mimosas for $12.00 dollars, I think that is a great deal. The waitress was very attentive to refilling our glasses. Like I said really good service. The brunch menu had really appeasing options, I ordered the Asian rice with eggs. Presentation was ok, but I'd did not have a lot of flavor. My wife ordered the bourbon eggs Benedict. So I saw a bad review on this place, and I can only think that whoever came and left that review is not the type of person that likes home town bars/taverns or just isn't used to places that aren't considered "fine dining". I've been coming to Tapped since the place opened and I can tell you that if you want a local bar with good food and good beer on tap you're gonna find a great place. I used Tapped for my son's graduate degree graduation celebration. The manager, Paul was very agreeable and willing to do whatever I wanted to do for the celebration. Tapped was very reasonably priced especially compared to some of these other venues (the new brewery in Middletown called Aspire was outrageously priced just for the use of their space). The food was excellent. I only ordered appetizers and had a cash bar, but Paul was amenable to putting all of the apps on a tray together for me so people could serve themselves. Even when it was time for our bartender to play in the live band they were having that night at 830pm, they offered to have another bartender serve us at the bar downstairs. They did not give us a time limit and allowed us to hang out as long as we wanted in the downstairs space. I would absolutely use tapped again for an event! We couldn't find anything, until we went on FB and started looking for places. We called to ask if brunch was being served, put our names down, and drove over. Nice tap house that carries a good assortment of craft brews from local areas. Despite the fact that it shares the same building, it is a separate business from the brewery next door. Started talking to the friendly bartender and found out nice tidbits on all the local breweries nearby. A few of them will definitely be on the visit list over the next few months. Equilibrium is right next door, so they had MC^2 on tap, which was awesome. First tried this DIPA in the city and have been hooked. It's got this incredibly mango pineapple chew to it that separates it out from the pack. They actually rotate the taps every so often, so it's a good idea to call ahead if you're gunning for a specific brew. Order the poutine and it was pretty decent. Fries were crispy and the gravy was pretty solid. Good experience overall. read more

Parking is across the street which is very convenient and on a quiet block. Upon going in, it's such a lovely ambiance. A very rustic theme with music that goes well. Highly recommend for hosting a party. My experience with planning a friend's party with Paul and the Tapped team was top notch. We had a small group and there was zero hesitation with reserving an area for our group to get together. Short review: I FEEL DUPED! If more info is need please proceed.... As an avid beer taster and reviwer I wanted to taste Equilibrium beers as I have heard from many that they are awesome! So I took the trip to Middletown NY yesterday, December 2 to find them and sadly I did not. I found the building but not the beers. What I found was a taproom/restaurant that only had 1 of Equilibrium brewery beers, MC2 which was delicious, but needless to say I was disappointed because I thought I was in the Equilibrium Brewrey tasting/tap room which I later found out I was not. Like when I was home, so too late! At no time during this visit was I told this is NOT a part of Equilibrium Brewery! The information on Yelp and Google has Equilibrium as one in the same as "Tapped". Unfortunately "Tapped" does not live up to the great reputation Equilibrium has. In short it kinda stunk. The chili tasted like Wendy's and was lukewarm and the seared ahi tuna was lacking any flavor and depended on a weird spicy compote to make it better. As for the beers, I got a tasting. That consists of 4 beers for 11 dollars, that's kinda steep in my book for beers I can get at my local store. Also beside MC2 all the beers tasted the same....BORING. 2 stars are for the service which was fine and the clean bathrooms. In hindsight I wish I had asked more questions, as I saw many people turn around and leave without ordering any food or tasting any beers. After leaving "Tapped" I met up with several other people at an other nearby brewery who had this same confusion, disappointment with their visit to Equilibrium. "TAPPED" IS NOT EQUILIBRIUM BREWERY!!! It seems that Equilibrium Brewery no longer has a Yelp page of its own but is rolled in as the "Tapped" page which leads to a lot of confused customers. Only after going on Yelp to leave a negative review for Equilibrium did I realize that this is not the same place! Another reviewer who also visited on December 2nd stated that in his review. Hopefully this review will help others make an informed decision before wasting time and money here. read more
