I feel very mixed about writing this review! First the ambiance- it's a rustic barn feel. It was fine nothing to complain about and the bathroom was clean. Next the service- it was extremely slow. Like super slow but I will say the staff was very nice and it seemed like our waitress was waiting on many tables by herself so I wasn't mad about how slow it was. But it should be noted. Now the Drinks. I truly don't know how I feel! My friend and I both ordered drinks. She ordered the Pom-Amore which is supposed to have fresh pomegranates in it and an edible flower as a garnish per the description. It had neither! She did have cranberries in it, maybe they ran out? I personally don't like that, they should have informed her they didn't have the right garnishes what if she was allergic? I had the cranberry limoncello which was supposed to have cranberries in it and it had none, hilarious I know! On top of that my glass was dirty had something caked on the inside the glass (like my straw wouldn't move it off) so they had to remake it. But it did taste very good. Lastly the food- My friend ordered the burger she said it was very greasy, I didn't try it so I'm not sure. She had the hand cut fries with it and I did try them and they were delicious! The portion of the burger and fries was huge! I got the avocado egg rolls and the Sweet Thai Wings. I wanted to hate the egg rolls because when they came out it's literally just like avocado inside, which is my own fault I assumed it was going to be more like a southwestern egg roll. However, they were delicious! It came with this spicy sauce that was so good. The only down side is that they left the avocado pit inside one of my egg rolls- I took a picture- which wasn't pleasant to bite down on. I also ordered the wings. They were good. The sweet Thai chili did not taste like Thai chili rather more like a buffalo wing so much so that I wondered if they brought out the wrong wings. I will say I got a bit of an ick because I found feathers on the wings. These are fresh butchered wings so it's understandable but also not my favorite thing to have happened. To note: I think it would have been nice because of the dirty glass for them to have offered a free dessert or something (especially since both our drinks were made wrong but to be honest we didn't tell them that they were) but that's just my personally thought for excellent customer service. Mhew! This place is average at best. Stopped here with the girlfriend for brunch after Sunday service and the French toast I ordered tasted like frozen French toast. I dare say IHOP has better French toast. Staff is superb but food is lacking. I "might" try a burger or other non breakfast menu item next time if I dare. read more

Plus despite them have largely decreased business because of the annoying road work basically blocking people from getting to them, they remained positive. For the food, I loved the seven layer dip, only thing I wish was for more crab since all the other layers were pretty generous, plus actual fresh made tortilla chips, I don't even get those in a Mexican restaurant must less a bar/cafe restaurant. Blackberry basil lemonade was awesome, not too sweet or water-downed. For surf and turf burger, the patty was cooked perfectly to medium and well seasoned, the shrimp patty I could say really could not taste the shrimp, it was very herbal. Other than that a pretty good burger. Caesar salad was great, well dressed and fresh tasting. Honestly part of me liked the salad more than burger, since I did fully finish it. Always love my visit here. The staff are extra helpful, friendly and you can expect great service. The ambiance is a cute cafe with indoor and patio seating which was perfect on this day of dining. We decided to split the 5 layer crab dip and then got the Cobb salad and fish tacos with their lemonade. The lemonade was phenomenal. You could tell it's fresh made. No artifical flavor. One of main reason why I like this place. The dip was filling and had multiple layers of flavor. My sister especially like their chips that came with the dip. The food came and overall the salad was tasty. I liked my tacos but wished it had more seasoning. To me it's was on the bland side. I would say this is not one of my favorites. Ate here tonight with my family. First time eating here and was only told good things. To be honest, I was not impressed. They might have been short staffed, but some of the issues were unforgivable. They never brought any of the salads to the members of my party that had that as part of their entree. The waitress took the time to ask for what salad we wanted, we just never got them. I ordered a coffee with a double shot of espresso with milk and lots of sugar. What I got was a cup of black coffee..no sugar and no milk. My pasta dish was severely undercooked . Which is very hard to do. Parts of my pasta were stuck together and as hard as a piece of cedar. Finally, as we were sat, I gave my credit card to the hostess to give to our server to ensure I paid for the meal. The bill came and the waitress put the bill in front of my family member sitting across from me and walks away. I hade to remind the hostess she still had my card. so in summary, fail on service..fail on the food, the ambience was fine. The place was not busy either, in case you thought that could be the cause of the issue. A lot of open tables and nobody at the bar. Sorry Copperbarn, i don't plan on ever returning and would recommend finding a different place for anyone looking for descent coffee, food, or service. read more

I ordered the brioche French toast, which was not my favorite, but great portion size and I think if you are into bananas and pecans, you would really enjoy this. Copperbarn... the place I wish I loved more than I do. Being Vegan and GF is pretty tough but a LOT of Hudson Valley restaurants cater highly to vegan and especially up and coming on gluten free. But not the barn .. teas and coffees are easy - oat milk. But the menu is mostly carnivorous. I'd love to see a homemade veggie burger added to the menu, they are very creative in that kitchen. The sweet potato fries I wanted to love because they're hand cut, but some were barely cooked, there was also no crunch or crisp. I will never stop coming here. After a long work day, my colleague and I enjoyed patio dinner. We started with the buffalo baked cauliflower, which was delicious and just 6-7 pieces (to be expected from the "small plates" menu). She had the blackberry basil lemonade and I had the lavender lemonade. We both agreed that mine was better. The lavender wasn't overpowering. The blackberry made the lemonade even more tart and you couldn't really taste the basil. Then, she orders the flank steak salad special and I got the Orechiette Rustichie. Her steak was well seasoned and she said the salsa was a great dressing - not too spicy but really flavorful. My pasta was delicious but I wasn't expecting the sauce to be so soupy. The portions are generous and both of us had plenty leftover. We finished with the ice cream cookie sandwich, which was excellent too. While in town, we're now going to make a point of going over to Goshen to visit the Trailside Treats Creamery (where they source their ice cream). Service was a little slow but they were unusually busy for a Monday night and we were enjoying the great weather on the patio so we didn't mind. All of the staff were super friendly and apologetic when we had to wait. I'd definitely recommend them. Be aware that the restaurant isn't huge so seating may be limited if they get busy. read more

We came to this establishment at random for brunch. As we entered the atmosphere, it gave a country like feel with a beautiful wooden interior. We were skeptical about the food but it was a HUGE surprise on how good it is. We ordered the waffles and the egg white omelette. The food was not only pretty but was probably one of the best breakfast spots we have ever been to. The coffee and teas are amazing. We ordered the white mocha matcha tea and it lived up to its beauty. The service was friendly and the hosts were really attentive. You can tell the chef puts their love with every dish. First of all, it seemed like they were short staffed, the person waitressing was also bussing, getting drinks, etc. When our order was taken, she was not listening to our orders well. I asked for a bottled water and got tap water. We were seated at the corner and the setup for the table was uncomfortable. They placed a 4 person table next to a beam. That you have to come super close next to the other 2 party table if you need to go to the bathroom. You practically almost touch. The only decent item we tasted were the buffalo wings. Great flavor and great blue cheese. However, the burger was tasteless and saltless. The tomatoes and mushrooms were very thick cut. The onions were raw and also very thick cut. Fries were very skinny and okay. The Steak and White Cheddar Ciabatta was awful. The steak was tasteless also very thick cut tomatoes. The sweet potato fries were soggy and drenched in oil.
