    PB Fudge Brownie

I used to go to Pizza E Barra when they first opened a few years ago, back when I lived closer. It was a great spot then, and after having lunch there again recently, I can confidently add them back into my regular rotation of go-to places. Our server, Liv, was amazing from the moment she sat us down and went over the specials--we knew it was going to be a great experience. The menu is still very much Italian-themed and did not disappoint. The drink menu looked great, but I opted for a beer on tap. My sister went with the Cinco de Mayo margarita flight special, and my wife ordered a soda. We started with the buffalo wings and buffalo chicken egg rolls. I originally planned on getting the chicken bacon ranch pizza, but after some debate and consulting with Liv, she recommended The Giada--and she did NOT disappoint. My sister ordered the tacos, and my wife got The Alessia. The wings were just as good as I remembered--crispy, well-done, and delicious. The buffalo chicken egg rolls only got better with each bite. But the true star was The Giada. I was a bit unsure about the ricotta at first, but one bite changed everything. The creamy ricotta, the salty pepperoni, the kick from the hot honey--it was a full-on flavor symphony that didn't miss a beat. It was so good I ended up offering slices to other tables who overheard me raving about it! From the bar area, you can watch the chef work the wood-fired oven and absolutely crush these pizzas. The tacos were a sleeper hit--I would totally order those just to take home--and The Alessia is a great salad pizza that delivered on flavor. We even went for dessert, trying the brownie Liv recommended. Don't skip dessert--every option looked amazing. The dessert pizza is officially on my radar for next time. It's a cozy spot with good music, TVs showing local games, and an amazing staff that make it a complete experience. Huge shoutout to Liv for the excellent service and spot-on recommendations. 5/5 stars.

Kind of torn to go the taco route or the pizza route. The oven in background decided, plus leftovers help hah. For a personal pan pizza it was kind of on the larger side, so for the giada the crust was cooked just right, not burnt or on a undercooked doughy side, both cheese were evenly spread, pepperoni was generous and not burnt. The added mushrooms and Sopressata added more flavor and never hurts to have Mike's hot honey drizzled on pizza. Considered getting the leap lizard wings but tangy does not match well with sweet and spicy. Have to try more of the menu on another visit, like where the taco side will take me.

Everything is great about this place the food, the music, the workers, the wine, the drinks, the cocktails, the location I don't know where to stop. There is a very good selection of oven made pizza. Very delicious. The pasta is really good. There's a whole section of chicken breasts with different variety of sides and ways. Everything is just very delicious. Bar is nice and plenty of seating plus outside patio seating. You almost miss it if you're not paying attention. Past Texas Roadhouse but to your right if you're driving east. On 211 sharing driveway with the beauty supply place.

This review is based on two dinners and a number of other times I tried (and failed) to have dinner. I'll start with the positive: my first time here, about a year ago, I had a memorable meal. Delicious Negroni cocktail mixed to perfection and poured over a single large ice cube in a rocks glass, and a lovely fig pizza and mussels dish. Our pizza had this perfectly crispy crust and tasty toppings. I stayed thinking of that pizza for weeks afterwards. I enjoyed the meal so much I tried several times over the past year to try the place again, but their hours posted online are very inaccurate. It says they close at 10 pm on weekdays and 11 pm on weekends, but often I'd show up and 9 or 9:30 and be shooed away by the staff wrapping up. This last time I went will be the last time I go. This time I arrived around 8:30pm and although we did get a table, the back dining room was already being cleaned - chairs were already up on the tables, someone was mopping, and the restaurant smelled like cleaning products. I worked in restaurants for 8 years in a past life. It's a no-no to visibly do closing duties while any guest is there. I should have taken this as a sign to leave but, determined to get that perfect crust pizza and Negroni, I stayed. Though the menu is the same as I remember, it seems management has changed. The Negronis are now up instead of on the rocks and served lukewarm in tacky martini glasses, hardly giving the more chic experience I had on my first visit. I asked the server for my Negroni Sbagliato. She did not know what I meant but didn't ask, so she just ordered a regular Negroni. We ordered the lentil salad and the funghi pizza, which was supposed to have truffle oil. The salad was bland and reminded me of a diner salad. Hardly any flavor and the dressing is from a bottle. The pizza was sparse in toppings and flavor, there was no trace of truffle oil at all, so we were disappointed. Worst of all, the crust was undercooked, consistent with every other sign that the staff wanted to be done with the shift and get out before 10pm. While we were eating our food, a server who had already finished cleaning the back dining room came to our section in the front to sweep right beside us. Another no-no! TL;DR: food and drinks were underwhelming and inauthentic. Service is uninterested. Ambiance is unwelcoming.

I keep going to pizza e birra as it never disappoints! I was pleasantly surprised by their beautiful expansion and remodeled. There are plenty of seats by the bar and comfortable boots front of the restaurant. The back has also great seating with a new long table in the middle for large groups. Oh my, their pizza!! It is so delicious im still thinking about it yummy Loved our server Angela. She was so kind and happy to let us take a picture of her funny T-shirt which by the way they sell at the restaurant! I fully recommend this place

Will miss dining from Pizza E Burris as I no longer work in the area. Usually ordered lunch takeout for 12 people. Food was always fresh, tasty, and prepared with care! Salad portions were not generous, but always filling. Great menu and staff. Wish there was a location in my area. Definitely worth checking out!

Authentic Italian pizza made with quality ingredients. Authentic Italian staff, authentic Italian music. Cozy environment. Industrial decor. Friendly, fast wait service. Delicious food options in addition to pizza. Vegan and vegetarian options available. Flat screen TVs. Large full service bar. Brunch parties on weekends.

Absolutely love their vodka sauce and margarita pizza! Everyone is super nice here, always very clean and you can tell they always use fresh ingredients.

    The Arancini is phenomenal!!

I ate here by myself and sat at the bar. I was promptly greeted by a delightful bartender named Mia who provided me with descriptions of several specialty cocktails they offered. I ended up getting just a soda since I was driving. I ordered the Arancini, which is a fried ball of rice filled with meat and peas served over red tomato sauce with shaved cheese. It was absolutely delicious! The bartender was extremely attentive and friendly from start to finish. The seating area and bar area were both extremely clean and the music is set at the perfect level so you can easily hear what anyone near you is saying. Overall, this is a great local spot and I am glad I found it. They are located next to Burger King on RT 211 in Middletown. They also have a nice outside seating area for when it is nice out.

One of my favorite places in town food is always on point and I am so thrilled with their latest addition of brunch! Whenever I have someone visiting this is my go to spot.

This place never disappoints. Brought my friends and family here and they loved it. Food was delicious. I especially loved all the fall specials, they were so goood. They had music playing when I ate which was nice. I had to write another review to share more pictures of food I got. Definitely a to go to spot!

    Wood fire pizza oven

We were told by our waiter that the owners also own the planet wings next door so if you are in the mood go next door for wings and save money! Okay so this is my second time here and I agree with the other reviewer who mentioned inconsistencies. The atmosphere was great! Good music, everyone was so nice on the staff! However the restaurant itself from the dirty silverware, to the sticky table, even sharing plates given to us with food still stuck on it, and the dirty sticky menus gave off a bit of an unclean vibe. The food was just okay with the fresh mozzarella tasting like store bought. My pizza was supposed to have caramelized onions but they just added soggy white raw onion but it was still okay overall. They do use a wood fired oven for the pizzas so the crust is delicious! Also not a deal breaker but was shocked that when I asked for a side of bbq sauce we were given a pre made packaged side of bbq similar to what you would purchase at a cafeteria. For dessert we tried the s'mores martini special and it tasted like a cheap vodka that's so sharp it burns going down. The freshly roasted marshmallow topper was great though. Overall I think the scenery is meant to be a nicer restaurant but the food and cleanliness is just planet wings/ fast food quality with a higher price tag for ambiance.

The eggs were perfectly cooked soft and buttery. And the sour dough toast with that perfect sour dough tang was the perfect edition. Even the coffee in the French press takes the coffee to another level. But talking about Oak & Reed flair the signature waffle was possibly one of the best things I have eaten. The waffle with that pearl sugar is the way a waffle should be made but then they have that waffle filled with Dutch caramel and that mascarpone on top is perfect. The tang, sweetness, butteriness, the crisp yet fluffy waffle it all was an equation for an amazing breakfast item. I could eat that every time I go. Truly amazing. The staff in Oak & Reed is always amazing attentive and kind. Live the open kitchen concept. Especially with my two year old currently in a Ratatouille kick so she wanted to see the chefs while she looked for Remy cooking. All in all Oak & Reed never disappoints.

So I was excited when we finally got a chance to try it. And here is where it may have been my fault, maybe I hyped it up too much. So the funny thing when we arrived at the restaurant and I saw another friend. She told me it was her first time and it wasn't good (this was a warning!) she said especially the chicken and waffles. So again maybe it's my fault because I didn't listen. My heart was set on the chicken and waffles and she was right. It was not good. Like how do you mess up chicken and waffles? It was lacking all types of flavor. It was bad. Why 3 stars than? Because their Spicy Pork Congee was amazing! It's an Asian rice dish and everything that lacked flavor in the chicken and waffles was made up in this dish. The problem? This is only an appetizer. It needs to be an entree, which would mean making it a larger portion. It was fantastic! They also had a decent beer selection which we got. The inside of the restaurant is cute. It has so much potential I just think maybe a revamp of the recipes. But maybe another dish would be good. We came for brunch so I don't know how their dinner menu is. I will probably give them another chance because how amazing the congee was I know they have potential to be great.
