Came here for a group dinner with my men's group and I thought maybe the catered food would be better but it's not. Food is bland and tasteless though the space for groups is nice. I'm convinced even if you shipped filet mignon to this place they'd ruin that too. If it wasn't for the company of my men's group it would have been a dreadful experience. Only great thing was the company I had. This visit has solidified that I'll never return to this place ever again. So many better options in town. Delanceys is a great neighborhood place. The racetrack right outside makes for a great atmosphere especially during race days. The restaurant has its low key bar side and a nice size dining room area which accommodates the local guys and gals just out for a drink and some great bar food and the family outing for dinner. The staff at delanceys are always nice and welcoming and service is always great. The food is where it's at. Probably THE BEST WINGS IN ORANGE! In my opinion. Their sweet Thai chili wings are by far a must try. But along with their amazing wings they have great burgers, steaks, pastas, and salads hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. If you'd like some game day treats they also deliver which perfect for football Sunday order a ton of wings and I'm not leaving the couch. Everyone from the hostess to the servers were all so great. It was super easy to make a reservation right on their website. They immediately texted then called later on to confirm. They have 2 bars to sit at, a dinning room, patio and a room for larger parties. The menu has something for everyone and perfect for families or larger parties. We got a bunch of apps and the pretzel seemed to be the table's favorite. I went with a burger and it was cooked just as I asked and came with delicious fries. We came into town for Legoland and saw this place was close by and had a large selection on their menu. It was only a 5 min drive and parking was easy. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Our group was four adults and 3 eight year olds. Orders ranged from pasta, salad, pizza, fried shrimp, bacon cheeseburger and wings as an appetizer. Everyone loved their meal. The wings were excellent. Will 100% return next Legoland trip. read more

The ambiance was very rustic. The wood work was amazing. The staff was friendly upon entry. The menu was very eclectic ranging from steak to seafood to chicken as well as a bar menu and burgers. The Thai Shrimp, Mozzarella, and pretzel were a fanatic start to the meal. They were really pleasurable. The entrees were decent - the Goshen Inn Pasta had an amazing sauce when you could taste it, otherwise it was tortellini and chicken that you had to fight to find the flavor. The Tri Colored Tortellini was delectable and delicious. The seafood fra diavlo had a nice blend of tastes . They also had a kids menu which proved successful to the little one. The pizza was okay, at best, it seemed to be on a pre made crust and wasn't very crispy. Over all the food was good. No bread or salad was served with the meal which for the price tag of each plate, you would think that they would include it. The waiter was really good. Writing this review as I'm trying to choke down the Delancy burger. It's a colorless grey with no flavor. Assuming it's a frozen patty for $18. It's too large to hold without it falling apart. I suspect the slimy mushrooms on top came from a can. The meal is greasy, unappetizing and frankly inedible. This was never a "go to" restaurant for me in the village but it's become a "never go again" after this meal. I'd rather have a bowl of cereal fir Dinner. read more

For dinner on a busy Saturday night, so I went into the bar and took a seat there. The restaurant was packed! The bar was quiet, a large party and some locals watching ball games, not the friendliest crowd, but that was OK. I ordered Osso Bucco with a special request of fettuccine instead of potatoes. What I got was an awesome pork shank with a lovely bed of fettuccine, and asparagus. I looked at this gorgeous thing and said it didn't matter about the Osso Bucco. The pork shank was perfectly cooked, falling off the bone, tender flavorful as it should be. The fettuccine came in a very rich meat and butter, type sauce, very good. When I saw the thick asparagus, I was concerned they would be tough. They were tender and delicious. Giving the whole meal a 10 out of 10. The service was fine, not chatty but efficient and pleasant. I appreciated getting served a wonderful meal on a very busy night without a reservation. There's plenty of bar and high top seating as well. read more

I dont see the hoopla with this place. Had a fixed menu and they couldn't get that right. Staff from hostess and waitress were great. Salads, soups and crab cakes were great. My wife's dinner and I were just bad. We both ordered the filet mignon and lobster tails dinner. We asked for medium, my wife's was overcooked. Sent it back and the waitress brought it back because the chef said that is medium. It was not pink and was medium well. My lobster tails were not cooked. Slimy, shiny and looked grey. The dinner were not seasoned and had no flavor. I guess the chef thinks that is good cooking. I will not be going back. The food was mediocre at best, but the worst part was the complete breakdown in communication between the front of house, service staff, and kitchen. Nearly everything was incorrect: burgers were cooked wrong, the salad was a sloppy mess priced at $30, and I was charged $14 for a meat add-on that was listed as $12 on the menu. I don't mind the price, but the information given to customers should be accurate. When I calmly addressed these issues with our server, I was met with an eye roll and a dismissive, "I have no control over how the food comes out." I did leave a tip--because I respect the difficulty of working in food service--but it was not my usual 25-30%. I would've appreciated some accountability or even basic courtesy. My mom and I decided to go to dinner tonight at Delancey's. They were quite busy as usual but we made reservations thankfully. I love how they decorated for the holidays! The restaurant was beautifully decorated, very elegant!! Service was a little slow tonight, everyone seemed disorganized. We waited at least 20 minutes for our waiter to come to our table. Which he was super apologetic and very attentive once he took our order. I ordered a steak and my mom ordered a side salad and shrimp with pasta. My steak was delicious!! My mom said her meal was cooked perfectly but her salad was slimy and rotten. Again our waiter was apologetic and took it off our bill no questions asked. I'm giving 4 stars this time because of how unorganized they were and slow. I will definitely go back obviously since it's one of my favorite restaurants but I probably wouldn't go on a Saturday night during the holiday season. read more

I live in San Francisco and came to Delancey's nine years ago for a high school reunion. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and I had a really good time. I came back last weekend for another class reunion, and dinner was at Delancey's. I thought the food was pretty tasteless this time (it was a buffet). But more importantly, one of our classmates is handicapped and discovered that despite Delancey's advertising it is "wheelchair-accessible," it is not compliant at all to meet the needs of handicapped people. In particular, it did not meet state requirements for a handicapped person. The rear entrance was in terrible disrepair. Uneven surfaces, large cracks, insecure railings, and poor lighting were a start. The restroom was clearly NOT upgraded at all. It was an old building, which had its charm, but it did not meet the state's standards for safety. Overall, this is unacceptable. Made only worse due to Delancey's hosting many events like reunions, where people have no choice but to go there for the event instead of choosing handicapped-friendly alternatives. read more

My husband brought me for our anniversary and we actually had almost left because they closed off the outdoor seating from morning rain... but we stayed, and it was a good choice. The dining room is large and LOUD, in the search for a quiet spot brought us to the back bar - which - The back bar stools are far too short for the height of the bar so eating at the bar didn't pan to be the easiest experience. I ordered the gluten free pasta (cooked a bit too long), with the special menu pasta dish, delicious!! I asked for no meat on my dish, got prosciutto, ate it anyway and liked it. I went to Delanceys last Friday for dinner. You couldnt tell its a restaurant from the outside rectangle brick building from the 1800's to the inside modern decor. Iate at the sports bar side since i was alone. Didn't get chance to see the dining hall. I decided on the Maryland crab cake and the Hangar steak. Crab cake was very good, big lumps of crab inside with thin vegetable garnish and olive oil. The hangar steak was very delicious topped with mushroom and onion sauce. Steak wasvery soft and chewable. Not overly chewy like most hangar or flank steaks. Potaoe side was good very fine light texture not overly buttery or salty. Overall it was a great dinner. Other than steaks they have seafood and italian. Parking is very limited and they do offer specials. read more

First time here because of recommendation for chicken wings Something my grandson wanted for an eighth birthday dinner. Big list of different sauces and flavors for the wings, but they were basically over cooked and dry. Not worth the extra drive. Old hotel atmosphere and location next to racetrack was fun and unique. Thank goodness for Delancey's! We visited Goshen to go to Legoland. At the park, food options are limited and the pricing is ridiculous. Luckily, a hotel employee told us about Delancey's. They have indoor and outdoor seating . The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. There were nice options for kids on the menu and the pricing was reasonable. Our food was delicious and it was the perfect way to relax after a crazy Legoland visit. So grateful. My only suggestion would be that they add a few more vegetarian choices to the menu. read more

I ordered the clam appetizer ate a few that were ok then I ate one that tasted fishy and raw the rest were not even steamed open I got kinda nauseous, when I called wait staff over... she said she would take it back but they didn't take it off the bill. The pretzel appetizer had no garlic butter and was obviously microwaved as it was hard as a rock after a few bites...and then the Deanna chicken entree came it was just A horrible tasteless big wet fried chicken patty on cold risotto. There were several real issues with all of the dishes ordered at the table. The wait staff listened but did little to correct. Basically I don't think it was the best dining experience. The service is always good but this time around, the food was not doing it for me. I enjoy a good Italian meal but, it wasn't good at all this time. I had the Chicken Parm with the spaghetti and I would have rather had Chef Boyardee. The gravy was bland and the spaghetti taste like it was 2 days old with a slight metallic taste. I had maybe two bites of it. I have been going here for a very long time and have never been this disappointed in their food. The beer was warm and tasted like the lines needed cleaning. There are plenty of spaces to park your vehicle in their parking lot. It is a comfortable ambiance inside. The staff is both friendly, and attentive. The drinks are not the best, but they are decent. They put way to much club soda in the Dragon Berry Mojito, making it taste like soda. I thought I would like the Caramel Apple Pie Martini, but I was impressed. I barely finished the drink. Now as far the food, I really enjoyed it. Their wings are on point. I don't like spice so their mild wings, snd BBQ wings were delicious as appetizers. The Shrimp Sautee with String Beans, with Rice and carrots is a must try. The Grilled Atantic Salmon was a little dry, but not bad. Not a bad spot to go to. read more

Phenomenal meal! This was our first time going - not sure what took us so long to go when we live so close by. The four of us shared 24 wings ~ 4 flavors (honey bbq, Thai chili, garlic butter and sesame teriyaki) ~ out of this world! Our entrees consisted of a toasted almond chicken salad, turkey Cobb salad, a bacon, egg and cheese burger w fries, and a Ribeye Philly cheesesteak sandwich w fries and then we shared the amazing rice pudding and carrot cake for dessert. Our recent trips to a nearby theme park have led us on multiple occasions to dine at Delancey's. On each trip, we made reservations in advance and had no issues getting checked in and seated. The restaurant is divided into sections and you can fill whatever need you have. A sports bar with a bunch of tv's and a long bar area and a large dining room that accommodated our party of ten with ease. Ample parking is found out back or on the street and we have never had an issue getting a spot. Since we came with a party of ten, including 5 children from 4-13 years, you might expect a little confusion. Almost perfect attention to the needs of people with children. Our server knew already to take care of their order for drinks and food first- a sure way to ensure an enjoyable meal for the rest of the adults. Drinks were delicious and came as ordered. Some martinis and wine after a long day of chasing after the kids. Appetizers came quickly and were very good. We ordered some Thai chili shrimp and wings in two flavors - sesame and mild. The hit for everyone who had it was the French onion soup. Perfect on a chilly evening and really hit the spot. Coffee and dessert were very good and the stand-out there was the Brownie Sundae. They have a fine dining side and a sports side were you bet on horses etc; we were going to sit at the fine area but there was a massive party there, so ok the sports bar we sat. Waited for what seem to be forever - we were going to leave when the waiter comes with our n apologizes (nice young man) working alone.
