Found this gem while family was visiting Legoland. We were staying at the Legoland hotel and left to eat at Christopher's both nights. Do yourself a favor and try Christopher's. It's tucked away in a little shopping center. We had Christopher's chicken and the salmon both nights. They have daily specials, so we were pleased with the seasonal salad they offered on one of the nights. Happy hour runs during the week days, so there were discounts on drinks as well. My son got the pesto penne pasta special and he thoroughly enjoyed the dish. read more

Excellent food and service. Ordered the shrimp and sausage cajun pasta dish. It's in a cream-cased sauce and has some kick to it -- it hit the spot! It's hard to find a place that makes good cajun food and this place nailed it. All the right flavors and seasonings, I wouldn't change a thing. Will come back any time I'm in the area. Curious about the other dishes as well. If you're in the area for Legoland or other adventures, I recommend checking them out as it's a short drive away! read more

We stopped after leaving Legoland. We wanted a 'real' meal after park food for two days. This place didn't disappoint. Our waitress was lovely. She went above and beyond to accommodate a beef/pork allergy. I know this will sound crazy but I ordered the turkey burger and it was amazing. It was so tasty I swore it was beef, it was clearly homemade. The kids ordered pasta and loved it, was only $6 for a decent portion. The place is casual and has a good variety of food. We were all very happy with the food and service. I would recommend and will definitely be back for the turkey when we're in the area again. read more

Was invited to have lunch here for a meeting. I had the Beet Salad with chicken. It had mixed greens - crumbled goat cheese - candied walnuts with house vinaigrette. Loved it--the salad was super fresh, the chicken was cooked perfectly. My companion had a burger with French fries, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The service was good, there was a small lunch crowd. Menu advertises Charcuterie "Stuffed" Pretzel for 2. It was a pretzel with charcuterie meats and cheese spread over the top. Not what I was expecting for something advertised as "Stuffed". Wings - Carolina were ok, Service as below par, drinks not refilled, no one asked how things were, given wrong check. Every interaction took a long time to get back to us. Very slow service. Food was ok. Nothing special. Got app. Pretzel for two with sopressata and cheese. Thought it would be stuffed. But was just put on top. Also got chicken sandwich. Bun was way bigger than chicken. Topped off with stale lava cake. Very disappointing. Don't think I will be back. read more

Went here on Thursday May 8th 2025 for my dad's birthday. We liked it here last time and decided to have it again! We walked in and there was no wait, and sat right at a table. Our server was very pleasant, and constantly checked on us. We all started with waters, and also had the signature drink the Strawberry Lemonade. Unfortunately can't remember what we ordered, but i remember that it was delicious and enjoyable. Food also came out in a timely manner. Paid via credit card and left a cash tip. I wanted to give a big shout out to Christopher's Bistro in Chester. This past weekend my family threw me a surprise bday party and everything was just perfect. My husband said that working with Val and her team was so easy and she was just wonderful to deal with. My husband is not normally a planner so the fact that they made this as painful as possible and helped him along means a lot! Thank you again to them. Excellent!!! After picking apples, we wanted to have a drink, and we found this place. When we arrived, we sat down at the bar, and the bartender offered the menu. I asked her if she could make a pumpkin martini, and she did an awesome job !!! The Pumpkin Martini was exquisite!! Extraordinary! Kudos to the bartender, she was extremely attentive. 3 of us stopped in for lunch. It wasn't busy so we were seated right away. Drink order taken quickly. We ordered the "stuffed pretzel" as an app. It is a salted pretzel with cappicola, soppresatta and provolone on top. Big portion, but it would be better if they used an unsalted pretzel. Since the cheese and meat are already salty, the amount of salt is way too much with a salted pretzel. Then we had pulled pork sandwich, bistro but, and French dip. All 3 were good portion and tasted good. The downside is we aren't fans of fries that are coated and/or seasoned. Fresh cut fries would have been so much better. The pulled pork sandwich came with potato chips that seemed to be fresh made and they were very good. So overall a solid 3 but with a few tweaks could be a 4-star. read more

I have mixed reviews. We stayed at Legoland. My brother and sister-in-law recommended we go there instead of eating at the brick restaurant on property. Nothing fancy on the outside, but the ambience on the inside was very nice. Very nice food choices a little something for everyone. The bad. We placed our order and about half an hour later maybe more we had to track down our waitress and speak to the manager because other customers came in after us and were served their meal. The manager said the kitchen staff was overwhelmed and apologized. They assured us it was coming out well it's a little bit longer, but eventually it came out. The food was very good however, my brother-in-law's turkey burger didn't seem cooked all the way. As we were eating, the manager came over and to make things right took care of the adult entrées. That was a nice plus seeing that we had to wait over a half an hour to eat. They were very apologetic and sincere. Not sure if I would go again if staying at Legoland only for the time it took to get our food. There were 5 adults and 3 kids in our party and we ordered hand sandwiches... turkey burger, cheeseburger, fried chicken sandwich. My wife ordered the appetizer pulled pork flatbread, which is delicious and the kids ordered cheeseburgers and pasta. I say this because it wasn't full entrées that took so long it was basic Americana food no fancy entrees. Again, needless to say the management took care of the adult entrées which was nice. read more

Very cute inside - the food has its ups and downs. It was a great way to end the night after Legoland with the family. The lemonade is not good at all. The burger was just OK. But their fries and the salmon was amazing. I would go back just for those two. The French onion soup was ok - I've had much better but it was good to have when feeling cold. read more

Omg ! I was in town visiting my brother and he took me here for dinner one night. My family and I had the best dinner we've had in a long time. My baby even liked his food. I ordered the Cajun shrimp Pasta and coconut margarita ! I ate everything right up. It needed no extras it was perfect at the first bite. What was even more mind blowing was the coconut margarita! I had never heard of such a thing until that day. The margarita tasted outstanding, literally the best margarita I ever had in my whole life ! I would travel from Cali for another one of those. Food was excellent. This salad dressing tasted homemade, chicken was tender and perfect. The food looked like it was made with care and tasted great. However, the server was inattentive. She made us $20 drinks with no alcohol in them. I hadn't eaten for 10 hours and I tasted and felt nothing. I've been drinking since the 8th grade. I know what a shot of alcohol does to me when my stomach is empty. We asked for the check and she came back 10 minutes later and asked if we wanted dessert. I'd definitely eat there again but wouldn't sit in her section and wouldn't drink there. I'm not paying $20 for juice again. read more

Upon stopping in again after some time at the restaurant and about 8 months after the food truck at Rushing Duck, I am not impressed. They did a wonderful job at handling mask wearing and I didn't see one employee fall short of this. But the drink and food - not good. I had a burger, informing the server I had a dairy allergy and gluten intolerance. She gave me veggies with butter on them. Which I understand mistakes happen but the only good thing about my experience WAS the veggies. They made me new veggies in oil and they are the best sautéed veggies I have ever had. The burger had absolutely no flavor and was very gamey and fatty. The martini was pretty awful as well. After having one of the best dining experiences in the Hudson Valley years ago when I first came here, I couldn't imagine how it could take such a turn for the worst. Coming from Western Massachusetts; my wife, 10 year old son, and I spent the day at Legoland. We wanted a good, locally owned restaurant for dinner. I had seen good reviews on Yelp for Christopher's and our hotel front desk clerk recommended it as well, so we gave it a try. It is located in sort of a mini-strip mall with an unassuming exterior. The restaurants we are used to are usually more like someone's house than here, and once inside, I thought we made a poor choice, but boy was I wrong! Our waitress, Corinne, was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful with not only her menu, but helped us with other questions about local attractions and some places for food on our return trip. The food was excellent! I got the New York strip steak, which was very good to outstanding, my only caveat was it came out more medium than medium rare, but not at all worth complaining about or sending back. My wife got the steak salad, my son the grilled chicken breast; both said their meals were the best of each they'd ever had. I absolutely recommend Christopher's Bistro, our food was amazing and all the food we saw come out of the kitchen looked phenomenal. read more

I brought my family this past week. I had been given a gift card for Christmas. The place is small and about half of the tables were full at 6pm. The menu is simple and everything sounded good. I went with Christopher's chicken and my wife had the NY Strip. Both of my boys had house burgers with fries. I was disappointed that there was no bread brought out and we had forgotten to order an app so my stomach was growling! I was also disappointed that there was no salad served before my entree. Thankfully our meals came relatively quick. My wife enjoyed the steak but wasn't happy that it was plated on top of the mashed potatoes. Her request led medium temp left the potatoes pink and unappetizing. She said her grilled vegetables were just ok. My signature dish looked amazing but had the same mashed potatoes underneath and you guessed it, grilled vegetables as her dish. I agree that they were just ok. My chicken was a tad over cooked and on the dry side. The signature sauce however was delicious. I wish there was more to hide the dryness of the chicken. Boys didn't complain. Burgers looked good and I stole a few delicious fries. The bill was acceptable for a family of 4 but bread and a salad must have been cut out to keep rising costs down.
