Stopped by with my husband to grab a nice dinner. I was so happy to see the place nicely decorated for the holidays. I anticipated a great meal and ordered a tortellini special with pancetta and peas. When I received the meal it looked great and I could t wait to dig in. It was at that moment I realized I made a humongous mistake deciding to eat here. Not only was the last dish $29 but there was NO PANCETTA! When I asked the waitress to ask about the pancetta, she stated it was inside the tortellini. I took out the sad ingredients from inside the pasta to show her there wasn't any. All that it was filled with was cheese and I believe spinach. It wasn't at all tasty and I left practically the entire dish. I ordered desert, the carrot cake which was decent (a little to sweet) and cappuccino. I had to wait for the cappuccino, then again wait for the sugar. When we asked for the check the waitress stated she took off the $8.00 carrot cake and $5 cappuccino. She was half right, they deducted the cake but not the coffee. Honestly, I should not have had to pay for a pasta dish that didn't include the ingredients listed on the menu. The pancetta is what would have brought the price of past to $29, without it I could see spending more that $15. I will never return to this establishment! read more

Have been eating here since moving to Goshen about six weeks ago. Everything has been delicious.... Our go to options are the sweet Thai chicken wings and penne ala vodka .. both are excellent! Very large portions served. Good bang for the buck. read more

My husband and I went upstate to check out some houses. We Yelped this placed and took a chance. It was weekend after valentines day and I were happy anything they had for us. When we walked in the hostess looked a bit stressed because we didn't have a reservation. To be honest she was trying to make us happy and seat us in the dinning section but wasn't able too. We were happy to seat in the bar area. It wasn't ideal but we were happy. To be perfectly honest, the bar section is great for group setting. Not for dates etc. The bar area has tables but is bit crowding. I am not sure if it's the color or the placement of the tables, it just felt felt like is can use bit more space between tables. My husband was so happy with his tall drink order of Jameson. God bless the bartender here , he knows how to pour and keep his customers happy. We salute bartenders like you . The waitress ( don't remember the name) was such a great delight. She provided recommendations with a smile and always checked on us. Upon her recommendations we got the pretzel as an appetizer. I never tried a garlic covered pretzel with brie cheese and I must say it was great. One of the best tasting and unique things I have tired. Both of us were were impressed with the food. So it only increase our and hope for our dinner choices. I ordered the seafood fra diavolo. I don't remember what my husband ordered. I hate giving three stars to place that has amazing service and great variety on their menu. The food came and I must say I was disappointing. The pasta was overcooked and lacked a certain a fight. Walked in with my daughter as the hostess was sitting down two gentlemen. I heard her say hello but I assumed she was talking to the two gentlemen in front of us because they had walked in right before us. Hostess came back, ignored us, and when I asked her if we could sit down she replied "well, you were ignoring me before when you came in". I really don't think they cared that I heard and saw them because they were so obvious about it. What kind of service is that??? On other occasions, the service is HORRIBLE. When I call in an order of food, they tell me 20 min. And EVERY time I go in, it's not ready in 20 min. I wait for more like a half hour! More needed training is what this place needs. The first thing I notice is the lack of adequate parking. Large restaurant, small parking lot and street parking hard to find. The dining room is large and exceptionally loud. Not a place for an intimate meal. We were seated right away and our server was very good and gave us time to look over the menu. The warm Brie salad had a nice size chunk of creamy Brie that was slightly melted with strawberries, apples, almonds, arugula and salad. It was a nice size portion. The crab cake looked grand my friend said tasted delicious but looked lacking for the price. Maybe if it had come on a salad it would justify the price. The open faced steak sandwich looked good and was a generous portion. But please turn the air conditioning down it was freezing or hand out blankets. It's hard to explain sometimes, but it isn't always about the food being mediocre....the service was great, waiter was great, but the food...my Mother has an onion allergy. I've discovered over my last 39 years of life that the mark of a chef is if they can and are willing to come up with a dish other than 'yeah, you can't have anything on the menu except this thing excluding everything.' So yeah, extreme minus points on clearly being unwilling to even consider coming up with something when there weren't even more than three tables seating the restaurant. Never had an issue until today. Rarely a bad meal, service can be iffy at times, but the food offsets that. However today in a non food related incident while attempting to video the racetrack today I was told by "Oscar" that the parking lot is his and I do not have permission to use it to video. Ironically I also rent in the same building as Delancey's and after an appearance by the landlord and village police he was educated, but still tried to push off the blame. Then later after being told he was to empty the area we as tenants use to enter the building and our apartments of Delancey's furniture we crossed paths as I exited and was videoing. Keep in mind this is a common area not unlike the parking lot in which WE are caused inconvenience by them yet never complain. He then decided to start cursing me as I left the building where I reside blocking the door we use to enter and exit the building. So I did say none of this was necessary and what you are experiencing now is what we call Karma. I could not care less that the owner is our Town Supervisor, this is how his main guy talks to people? I left out how his son cursed like a truck driver in front of customers while I and a friend of mine were picking up our meals last year then cried after the lady I was with called him out. read more

Far and away the best value for eating out in Goshen. Menu is extensive but not pretentious. The food is very good; both appetizers and entree's. The main dining room overlooking Goshen's Historic Track creates a wonderful atmosphere. I came for lunch with my fiancé based off of a recommendation from a nearby hotel. The hostess greeted us right away and had us seated. The waiter came by not too long after with menus. They were both very friendly and the waiter was attentive but not overbearing. For entrees, we ordered the prosciutto pizza with arugula to start. The pizza was very good although I wish the arugula was either baked with the pizza or there was less. It seemed like they baked the pizza then dumped a handful on top before serving it to us. My Greek salad was HUGE and delicious! I couldn't even finish it! The best part was they gave a whole chunk of feta cheese with it instead of it being crumbled up on top already. I liked that I was able to control how much feta I wanted. My fiance got the delancey burger which was cooked medium on brioche bread with cheese and mushrooms. The burger itself was on the bland side. It needed some sort of mayo or aioli sauce Or even ketchup. It was just boring. Not bad necessarily but needed something extra to add oomph. Lastly, we got the apple crisp which must be made fresh on the spot because it was delicious! Hands down the best thing I ate and one of the best desserts in awhile. It came with a scoop of ice cream which contrasted nicely with the fresh out of the oven crisp. I could eat the whole thing. Would definitely come back to try more things on the menu! read more

I've been to Delancey's a number times, but usually for work. This was my first time to spend a couple hours and grab a bite. I went straight into the bar area and took a seat. I was welcomed immediately by the cordial bartender and Stella in hand, I ordered some wings and proceeded to relax. There was a Company party underway in The adjacent room, so bar traffic was brisk, though the bar was lightly populated, thank god. I'm not so keen on noisy restaurants and Delancey's was just right for me. I got my wings and they were very good. Went for lunch on a Sunday and everything was mediocre at best. The ambiance is confused - with some elegant touches on the walls combined with rustic furniture. The whole staff seems inexperienced and the waitress' long hair would fall on you and the table when she leaned over with drinks (luckily she wasn't handling the plates of food). Our table didn't get bread, while other tables did, and it would have been nice because it was a long wait for the food. The food was just OK - everyone's fries were cold, the mac and cheese was very light on macaroni, and nobody else was impressed with their food. I'm sorry to say that my dining experience last night, was one of the worst I've had in the 10 to 15 years, that we've lived in the area. We had made reservations for 5:00pm (not exactly prime time). When we arrived, we were told that our table wasn't available yet. It finally became available at 5:15 (in a restaurant that was 10% occupied. We were greeted by a waitress, who took our orders and returned with our drinks fairly quickly. After sitting for 30+ minutes (and not seeing our waitress in sight), I finally get up to ask another server if they could bring over some bread for the kids who were starving at this point. They asked who my server was. Looking around, I didn't see her anywhere. When they went to find her, it turned out that she just took off after taking our orders... like, literally...she just left the restaurant. We were greeted by our "new" waitress, who was very apologetic, and assured us that it would be smooth sailing from here on out. That didn't last long...Once the meals were delivered, 4 of the 9 meals were incorrect, and the burgers could have been used for Olympic hockey. Actually, it wasn't only the burgers themselves, but the actual buns must have been sitting under a heat lamp for a week. We didn't want to complicate things, so we asked the waitress to just bring out a fresh bun, and we'd take care of the rest....She brought out a pre-toasted frisbee instead. After all of this, the manager didn't have the decency to come out and explain/apologize. He told our new/2nd waitress to use her best judgement, and give us a dessert on the house if we wanted. I will say that the waitress who took over our table was amazingly apologetic and provided great service. Nothing that transpired was her doing. But for a restaurant manager to not even stop by the table to apologize is ridiculous. We're used to the service being slow at Delancey's, but we put up with it, because the food is typically way above average. That being said, after last night, you won't see us again, or our guests who had never been to Delancey's prior. The service was was horrible (other than what was provided by our 2nd server), the food was horrible, and more than anything, the attitude and lack of interest by management was inexplicable. read more

The tuna with udon noodles was terrible, they didn't cook the noodles! There were maybe 3 slices of tuna that looked like they were torn off a larger cut. The seafood fra diavolo was over cooked. The lobster tail was tough and chewy like it had been in a freezer forever. The fish special of the day was just gross, still had scales on the skin. The fish and chips were cold. The wait staff is obviously overworked and untrained. They did the best they could. Can't blame them for any of it.
