    Myself with Chef Ponch

Brought here by our daughters and grandsons to celebrate my wife and I 45th wedding anniversary. This was my first time visiting this establishment but won't be my last. This restaurant has an elegant but family kind of vibe. The staff is top notch, the owner and chef make you feel like old friends. Our server was great and the young man who filled our water glasses and cleared our dishes after apps was the best. He came over each time our glasses were half full and made sure we always were hydrated. Now on to the food , the rack of New Zealand lamb was great the lamb literally cut like butter and the potato croquette was a nice accompaniment. The side order of macaroni and cheese was fantastic with a wonderful cheese crust topping. My family had no complaints at all from wifey's salmon to Grandson surf and turf from risotto to chicken parm, you would have a hard time not finding anything on this menu to satisfy your taste buds. Once I told chef Ponch it was our anniversary he brought out this fantastic tiramisu. Now I've had tiramisu many times and always found the espresso flavor to be a little too strong but this one is the best I've ever had. When I complimented chef, he said his wife made it again. You can't be the tiramisu here all in all. It was a fantastic evening and a fantastic meal. I highly recommend prime 36. If I can give it more than five stars believe me I would and that means a lot coming from me.

Absolutely delicious! The service was spectacular and the ambiance was enjoyable. Went to celebrate a birthday dinner and the staff came out and sang! The filet minion and rib eye were seared to perfection, the side that came with them were to flavorful and tasty. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were also filling and so savory. I can't wait to come back!

    Chicken Francesca & Chicken Milsae

My friend and I came here for lunch. I absolutely love coming here. There food is always very delicious. I absolutely love their bread and along with their delicious sauce for the bread. This time around I decided to get the Chicken Francesca which was very delicious. I decided to get it with the potatoe croquet and the fresh vegetables. The service was amazing. The waiter gave us a lot of time to come back and wait until we decided to have what we want. What we also loved that we were able to sit there and talk and not get rushed out. I highly recommend coming here and checking it out.

    Smoked Nova Scotia Salmon Appetizer

Brand new place in Warwick NY (previously the location of The Warwick Inn), which recently opened after FULL (gorgeous) renovation. My husband and I came in here on a Friday night hoping for a table, and luckily they had one available, despite us not having a reservation! We ordered drinks, and were immediately given a bread basket with cheese/pickles/olives (LOVE that they do this - I think restaurants should do this more often). The bread was super fresh, and the sun dried tomato oil we were given was SUPER tasty - my only comment? Don't put it on my own bread plate - instead - give us a plate to share the oil so we can use our bread plates for ... bread. For appetizers, we started with the Smoked Nova Scotia Salmon and Tuna Tartar - honestly, both were tasty, the salmon wasn't over smoked and both dishes were fresh... but they both desperately needed seasoning (aka salt). Next, we each had the Center Cut Filet - mine was a perfect Medium Rare, and my husband's was also Medium Rare ... except he ordered his Rare. The steaks were seasoned perfectly and tasted delicious. Only issue? No sauces (chimichuri, bernaise, bordelaise, etc)... if you're a steakhouse, gimme alllllll the sauces. The sides though ... those were amazing. Garlic Mash was perfectly mashed - little lumps (love them!), and not too garlicky. Onion Rings were addictingly good - a thousand of those, please. Asparagus Parm - holy heck they were flavorful and cooked perfectly - not mushy at all. We didn't take part in any desserts, but I love that they're all made in-house. 4 Stars because: 1- give me a designated oil plate with bread 2- season the appetizers 3- sauces for the steak! and make them homemade!

    Tres Leches :)

But since they don't brew anything I guess they would be categorized as a tap house. They offer a nice variety of mainly local beers. They also have a relatively small menu of food items. I have tried several different things. Nothing to really rave about. But nothing to complain about either. All in all pretty decent fare. With that said the real draw here is the property. A country setting strewn with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. Making it a very nice place to hang for a while. Especially, that they often have live entertainment. I'm a biker and this makes a great destination or pit stop. I will return to Skylands for sure.

First of all, the beer flights are only $7, the downside is all beer is served in plastic cups, but the pours are nice size. They do have wine but nothing that this wine snob wanted, lol. The kitchen offers something for everyone. I had the hot Italian panini, my husband the pepperoni pizza, zero complaints. Big bonus there's was music on Sunday! Nice gentleman singing not your ordinary songs, like Eleanor Ribgy! Very cool. 2nd Bonus. There's specific parking spots for motorcycles. So we will definitely be back on our scoot with some friends, scenic route from home is no highway. Nice outdoor seating and ice cream for kids, bring the whole fam, no dogs tho.

I would give it 5 stars. Our waitress Swe, was delightful, kind, happy, described the dishes, gave suggestions, she is what you would expect from a waitress. Even the food runners were excellent, smiled and said hello when they approached the table. The service was definitely 5 star. The Food, presentation was excellent. The flavors, just weren't there. We started with these beautiful onion rings which were house made. Big, beautiful and fried to a crisp golden perfection, yet taste, there was none. absolutely nothing. the most boring onion ring ever. Then the wedge salad, chopped and soggy. If your going to reinvent a classic salad, it better be good. I had the seared yellow fin tuna, again what happen to the flavor. it had a carrot ginger puree, that was more for color than flavor. the best part was the arugula pickled onions and tomatoes that came on the plate. My dinner partner had 16 oz prime dry age rib eye, which he did not enjoy. I am not a meat eater but tastes it and was not impressed. this steak was so thin. they took 16oz and spread it across the entire plate, taking away the true essences of a steak. I was pretty disappointed in the food but the cocktails were very good as well as their wine-selection. I beautiful place with great staff, which i would go back maybe just for happy hour. One other disappointment is with being such an nice steakhouse and all of the staff dressed and all so professional why isn't there any type os dressed code. Why are they allowing people to dine in sweatpants and messy t shirts. They should have a requirement. most diners were dressed so nice but allowing sweat pants. my two star rating is based solely on the flavor of the food.
