Really good! We always have a good time when we go alone or with the kids. Menu is great all around, and service is good.

Cozy, upbeat, colorful, and great food. Great menu with a lot of good pizza choices, appetizers, and special items made in house. Ordered a margherita pizza, italian sausage pizza, and the famous pizza e birra nachos and was not disappointed. We've come back multiple times for their food, both times take out and the food was delicious. The first time we came the order that we called in was never made, but the staff upon learning that huslted and got two pizzas and a nachos out in 15 mins. Impressive! Definitely recommend calling ahead, but eating in looks to be great. Start of at a full service bar in the front of the restaurant and end at a table getting a fresh brick fired pizza. Ingredients taste great, meats are flavorful, and veggies are all fresh. It's a new place in Middletown and seems to be doing great. We'll be back and if your'e in the area it's definitely worth a try read more

We were coming through on a business/pleasure trip. I had the Fig Prosciutto Pizza and my wife had the Tiered Eggplant Ricotta. I really liked both items. The Fig Prosciutto had a sweet (fig preserves and whole figs) and the Prosciutto and cheese added a slight saltiness. read more

Consistently high quality food, however the shrimp in the shrimp tacos was a bit hard to find. They're in the process of expanding so that's a good thing. Three stars until I eat there again and see if the portion sizes improve. Just refreshed the interior looks good read more

I love this place! I've been in several times with my parents and always had a great experience. I highly suggest getting the crispy mozzarella balls to start. They are to die for. I have been to Pizza e Birra probably at least 3 times so far and have never had a bad experience. I've gone in the middle of the day on a Thursday, when it's packed on a Saturday and anywhere in between and have always had quality service. Whenever I'm here I order the Margherita pizza which is absolutely amazing. The EVOO they use is some of the best I've had since being in Italy and the pizza is always just salty enough with the right amount of sweetness in the sauce. I have also had the San Gimignano pizza which was great as well! I would highly recommend this spot for a casual restaurant to grab sit down dinner at with friends or family. The bar area also seems it'd be fun to sit and watch the game at. read more

Stopped in here for a business lunch. Very easy to find parking. We were seated immediatly. Accommodating seating for our group. Staff was friendly and catering. Fairly new establishment. Clean. Nice Decor, modern. Nice bar stocked with Spirits and IPA beer. Price Range is Moderate. The menue has a good variety of choices. Pizza, Sandwiches, Pasta. The menue boasts about the house made specialty Pizzas, had to try. If you are in the mood for chicken wings, you can order wings right next door, from Planet Wings. House made pizza was delicious. Thin crispy crust. Ingredients tasted fresh. Potion was just right. Filling, without that bloated feeling. Good place for a group Lunch. read more

This was my second time here since they first opened. My bf and I both tried the tuscano sandwich and loved it! Fresh ingredients and their homemade bread was delicious! $13 for A big portion. I had enough food to bring home for seconds. They have so many craft beers on tap that I can't wait to try. I would definitely go again. read more

First visit to Pizza e Birra, loved our waitress, Mel. she was very accommodating, welcoming us to switch from outdoors to indoors when rain threatened. Food - one chicken parm pannini was good. The sweet potato fries were cold. My Honey Apple salad had no apples. the waitress asked me if I wanted to talk to the owner, I should have said yes, but didn't. the lettuce was eh, the walnuts were burnt, the Gorgonzola was chintzy, the salmon was dry. for $26! when am I going to learn not to order a salad in a chain? The music was good; the Crew played. They are Poughkeepsie HS graduates, the class of 1972. read more

I was away with my girlfriends family and her dad suggested Pizza E Birra. The selection of quality pizzas and menu items was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful, each staff member greeted us and said goodbye. They were all very accommodating. I had the Calabrese Diavlo with the spicy sopressata a very flavorful and fresh tasting pizza. If I lived up here I'd definitely come Back to Pizza E Birra. read more

Pizza E Birra - Calabrese Diavlo... couldn't wait to take the first slice lol - Pizza Near Me - Middletown, New York

Not your typical NY style pizza, more of a bar pizza. The waitress was friendly but she was busy with lots of people to wait on. It was a busy night. It was loud we sat outside. It took a while to get our food read more

Love this gem! Pizza e birra is right off 211 but don't let it fool you. The menu is filled with tons of delicious options (seriously I always spend at least 30 minutes on the menu). I've gotten their lentil salad in the past, but this visit I had a caprese salad with added chicken cutlet and pesto (I recommend) and the portion was very generous. I don't recommend ordering their fish bowl.....I think they took it off the menu for a reason and it caused the most wicked hangover I've ever had. Can't wait to come back for more celebrations! read more

Bar - A very good selection of liquor and beers on tap. There is a large tv above the bar and the bartenders were very nice. They have drink specials and signature drinks available Dining - They have a brick oven pizza and it pumps out some real good pizza. So far I have only had the cheese and veggie but they were outstanding. They also have really good combo of Italian and American dishes. More seating than you would think looking from the outside. The front is mostly glass and looks like it rolls up and open in warmer weather. Couple this with the outdoor seating and this is gonna be a sweet spot in the summer. If your in the area definitely give this place a try! I will definitely be back. read more

Food and service were adequate, not good, but they lost me forever for charging $1 per (skimpy) slice of bread. At an Italian-styled restaurant? A new low for a la carte in the Hudson Valley. read more

Food is okay, bartender kayla (I believe her name was) is awesome and personable. The Asian salad had a bit too many noodles. All in all the food could be better but I don't think they've aimed to amp anything up recently. It can be a bit loud in there if you are going for trivia night. read more

Have tried this place twice. First time takeout and can't believe I returned to try it again. I got the Calabrese Diavolo pizza and I think the sauce was bad/expired. It tasted like straight vinegar and made the entire pizza unappetizing aside from the pieces of crust with no sauce. The pizza dough and the wood fired oven is really great so it's possible I just got a bad sauce. Boyfriend got the Buffalo chicken and liked it, but wasn't his favorite in the area. It had a good amount of chicken, which pleased him though. Friends wanted to try it so I went in person with them afraid of the red sauce but really enjoyed the dough so I ended up with the Quattro Formaggi pizza (no meat during lent for me). Again the dough was remarkable and the pizza was cooked perfectly. It was a little greasy but most 4cheese pizzas are. I split the molten chocolate cake and it was underwhelming. Josh Cabernet is their Cab by the glass which is a win for me! read more

Cool spot, good parking. This place has a nice size bar and a good happy hour. They have TV(s) so that you can watch a game or two. Good beer selection and plenty booze to quench your thirst. Food is good, I did not try the pizza, but it being brick oven, it can't be bad. I will definitely stop by again whenever I am in this neck of the woods. read more

Stopped in here for a family lunch. The decor is gorgeous! Was promptly greeted and had our order taken quickly. The service was so quick, too. Ordered the pizza margherita - amazing fresh mozzarella & tomato sauce. The EVOO splashed on top was a nice touch as well. The crust was absolutely perfect, thin and charred on the bottom with a nice chewy texture. As an Italian, this place definitely makes the cut. Can't wait to explore more of their menu. Keep it up, Pizza e Birra! read more

Pizza E Birra is new to the area and as a long time resident, I wanted to go try it out. Big mistake! I went on Thursday at 6:40 pm for dinner and it was not busy. Off the bat, the waitress who sat me was rude and not friendly at all. I sat myself outside. Their patio area is nice and dog friendly. The waitress hands me the dinner menu before I sat and left me alone for 10 minutes. The restaurant was not busy and the manager( Kevin) was standing inside oblivious to the customers. I had to interrupt another waitress who was helping a table next to me for a drink menu. She quickly brings me the beer menu and before the new waitress leaves I place my order quickly. New Belgium pilsner($7) and Caprese pizza($12). It took 15 minutes to get a drink menu and for anyone to serve me. My original waitress was hanging out inside as I could see from outside. The discontent on my face was very visible. It only got worst with the food. The pizza is the worst I've had in the area. Pizza hut serves better pizza. Thin pizza can still be made well. This was not. It was a thin layer of dough soaked with olive oil, too much basil, flavorless mozzarella, and thick tomato. It was a very small pizza. Enough for an anorexic couple. The dough was disgusting. Very disappointed. Overall, this place does not make good pizza. I didn't try the other entrees, but I assume they'd be equally awful. The table next to me was unhappy with their chicken salad and pizza as well. It is highly over priced and not worth it. The good: out door patio, location, dog friendly, clean, parking , beer selection The bad: PIZZA, SERVICE , PRICE As a life long Middletown resident, I'm disappointed by this place. Overcharge and under serve. One star for the good drink selection and ambiance, but what's important is the food, service, and price. If you want great food and service, try Colandrea Pizza King or Franco Di Roma. You'll leave happier. read more

Delicious food! Great vibes! I recently moved to the area and have been eating here 2 nights a week! Just can't get enough

We're visiting the area from Charleston, SC. After a day of fun, we were so hungry, and my son requested pizza...when in Rome lol. A quick check of nearby restaurants brought up Pizza E Birra. I checked out the menu on their website, and a picture of a plate of calamari was all it took. Parking was a breeze. We were seated promptly, and our server, Henry, got our drink and appetizer orders right away. He was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Our calamari came out right away. You know how sometimes you see a picture on an online menu, but what you get in person looks entirely different? Not here! The plate of calamari looked exactly like the picture on the online menu. It was a huge serving, and was, oh, so delicious. We all ordered different pizzas. The price was excellent for the quality food we were served. I had the mushroom one (can't remember it's Italian name), and it was delicious! I managed to eat the entire pizza. We were too full for dessert, but the Nutella pizza sounded amazing. Maybe next time we're in town. The salads and sandwiches that others around us ordered also looked great. The restaurant was clean and very inviting. We will definitely return next time we are in the area. read more

This is my new pizza place. Old world style pizza! Nothing like a pizza and a beer after a hard days work at a lesser quality restaurant then this one. Everyone is welcoming and friendly as well. read more

After 7 it turns into a drunk girl teeny booper spot. So fucking annoying. Other than that, good spot.

We were starving so we chose our next new venue through Yelp. I cannot believe the favorable reviews for this place. Our experience was a fail for sure on many levels. First, service was disappointing. The staff seemed very unfocused and disinterested to our dining needs. So we were a party of four and our orders came out at different times and was disorganized. Our pizza meal came out as an app without our salad. The lasagna entree came out with the soup. All of these annoyances would have been forgotten if the food was good. The food was awful. If Dominos and the Olive Garden had a baby, this would be it. Just gross! The pizza was undercooked and the sauce wasn't even hot and tasted almost soupy. Yuck! The lasagna tasted like a lean cuisine. The sauce was sweet and tasted artificial. The minestrone soup was bright red and smelled and tasted like canned soup. Crossing this place off the list. read more

This is my favorite place in Middletown - it has the trifecta of great drinks, delicious food, and a friendly atmosphere. Since it opened, I've tried several appetizers, salads, and pizzas here, and not once have I been disappointed. The best items I've had are the mussels fra diavolo, the lentil-avocado salad, and the San Gimignano pizza (although the funghi e cippole pizza and the fig prosciutto pizza are both amazing, too). If you haven't tried it yet, definitely go! read more

Sabrina and the staff at Pizza E Birra handled my family event with care and consideration. I appreciate the efforts taken to get the menu items that I requested, and we were accommodated almost an hour earlier than we anticipated. The atmosphere and decor were inviting and comfortable. All of the food was tasty, we were able to enjoy ourselves and we were not rushed. I look forward to visiting the restaurant again on a better occasion. read more

It was my Husband and I first time eating at Pizza E Birra and it definitely won't be our last. As soon as we walked into Pizza E Birra both of us liked the decor of the restaurant the staff was very nice and gave suggestions My husband had a personal pie like a meat lovers pie he ate every slice and really enjoyed his pizza he also had 2 jack apples that he wants to get a bottle for himself. I had a personal pie that was goat cheese, spinach, and mushrooms. I totally enjoyed I had 2 slices left over to take home. The staff was wearing Pink T-Shirts for Breast Cancer Awareness Month I asked the question If Customers can buy the T-Shirts? And I also said that if we can that I would need an XL. They said that they would find out for me and let me know so that is the only question that I need to be answered? We can't wait to go there again and try something new and give them more great reviews after review. If I could of gave them a 10 I definitely would of because I really think that they definitely deserve the 10. Until next time for Pizza E Birra just go and eat and enjoy the food ,drinks ,desserts, and conversations. read more

Nachos were a good idea but the melted cheese and pulled pork were cold. The entire restaurant seemed to be run by a bunch of kids that were goofing around behind the bar and on their cell phones. The positive: the beer was cold. read more

I have no complaints about the food or the service but gave four stars due to the fact that my son left a pair of 200 dollar sunglasses at his table and we called shortly after we left to be told they did not find them, my thought is whoever cleaned our table decided to keep them which is terrible to do to a customer. read more

Drove by this place and thought it looked like a good spot to eat at and I was right this is one of them...though they share the building w Planet wings Pizza E Birra has plenty of parking and a nice ambience. They offer local and regular domestic bears options along w a full bar..Pizza Burgers salads sandwiches are just some of the menu items offered. We had the spinach dip and the prosciutto pizza white, amber ale and apple cider were the beer of choice this evening. Our waitress had knowledge of beers and was very personable. Food was shared and had nothing left to take home. We will be back. $$ read more

Great deal on the wings for the Super Bowl, but their wings are pretty small. If you have pizza in your name then you should offer more than $14 personal size pizzas.
