    Texas Red Chili, good
    Cyn C.

This was probably one of the more unenjoyable visits to this location. The best part of the visit was the bread that they keep bringing out. We ordered the chili, Cesar salad, the pulled pork sandwich, and the full rack of ribs. The chili and Cesar salad were good and the ribs were okay, but the pulled pork was just gross. It was dry and the flavor was horrible. I probably won't be coming back here for a while.

This location is normally my favorite. As far as consistency it is it. Steak is usually cooked very well and servers are fun, fast, and friendly. Ambiance is loud and chaotic but that's to be expected.

Long wait for a Friday evening. You can place your name on the waiting list online or go inside & have the hostess do it. Just know not to go inside until you receive a text saying your table is ready or else they will not let you in any further than the first set of doors where it was extremely cold! Since covid (I'm assuming) the complementary peanuts are not out like they use to be, you can ask for a pack like I did only because I seen other individuals with them. Our server was pretty good & attentive. They were out of ribs the evening we went. Very cheap on the croutons for my son & I salad. I've had way better experiences at this restaurant than my most recent one. The rolls are always a hit-but they definitely won't ask if you want more!

Stopped in to celebrate a birthday on a Monday night. Food was good. Service was good. Ambiance was celebratory--2 other families were celebrating birthdays. It's always nice to see someone get on the bucking barrel seat for a birthday yeehaw! It's a fun place for birthdays and a good steak or burger. They do have lots of other foods to choose from, such as chicken sandwiches, grilled shrimp and appetizers such as fried pickles. They don't fry their shrimp so if you have a shrimp allergy you can eat the fried foods. The staff are always happy to come and announce a birthday to get a yeehaw from the crowd.

First off, will start this review in being that we've been here before, just not in a while. I used to not like it because there would be all peanut shells all over the floor. Good thing not anymore. Went here on Sunday October 27th 2024 with my parents for some much needed dinner. Got there, found a spot. Fair warning, it can get really crowded and may need to wait. If you have less than 10 people, you may be able to get on the waitlist online, which is what my mom did. And with our luck, our table was ready maybe 2 minutes after we got there. We were sat at a booth, near the outhouse. Our server was very pleasant and took care of us. I forget her name unfortunately. First, we ordered 3 waters, Then i ordered the Island Cooler Drink, and my dad got a Cowboy drink. They also have a bag of peanuts and buckets on the table to eat peanuts. Was also given delicious bread! The island cooler was very good and i enjoyed it. We also started with the Cactus blossom, which hit the spot and was very good. even tasted less greasy and more flavorful than the competition out there. For entrees, My mom ordered the 8oz Sirloin M with mash potatoes and String beans, I ordered 8 Sirloin M, with loaded sweet potato and string beans, and my dad got some kind of chicken with steak fries and house salad. kudos to the restaurant in which they brought out the salad first. Food came out in a timely manner. i liked my steak, although seemed more on the Medium Well side and dry, but i enjoyed it, and added steak sauce. i enjoyed my sweet potato, although was expecting for it to be loaded with cheese, and bacon. Good idea for any server to inform the customer- it is loaded with marshmallows, or add onto the menu that loaded sweet potato is loaded with marshmallows. Enjoyed the potato too and took it home. The String beans i did not like at all, tasted very smoky and had bacon on it, and again the menu doesn't say anything about bacon. My mom didn't like her string beans either. We didn't ask for any substitutions because we were okay and somewhat full from the appetizer, plus we liked our steaks and other sides. We paid with the server because we had a gift card, then paid the balance on the machine with a credit card. Left a cash tip, and gave it to our waitress, who checked on us, and made sure we were okay. Will definetely come back again!

1doz bread, request for extra butter, and butter with sweet potato.

Check your Takeout bag before leaving!!! Called to report a to-go order was missing honey cinnamon butter for a dozen rolls and a potato. Girl who answered apologized for the mixup and transferred me to takeout manager who kindly apologized, and said he would email voucher for rolls and butter. Daughter was disappointed I didn't feel like going back out in the rain, but was satisfied with the customer service. Shortly after getting off phone with the young man/ takeout manager a woman called who identified herself as the General Manager. She was very rude and condescending from the start saying "I heard you were missing a little butter?" She explained "we don't give vouchers out for that, but will refund the cost of the missing butter in 3-5 business days." Surprised I said "you mean the rolls and butter?" (Only $5 btw) She responded "No, just the butter." I laughed and said "ok well now I know better." We now have a big box of dry rolls and a dry sweet potato. To go with the dry steak, but I digress...you get what you pay for and it's no Luger's. Well you SHOULD get what you pay for, and we didn't. In sum rude condescending customer service from the general manager. Rest of staff were aces. I'll never go there again.

    Ribs Shrimp Applesauce

We all know Texas has some good BBQ ribs that's never ever been in question. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they should really consider putting shrimp and rips on the menu as they have shrimp and steak or other things with steak. I had to pay a whole $6.00 extra for the shrimp when the steak and shrimp came out cheaper ? Also I paid $6.00 extra just for the shrimps to be way over seasoned. It's seafood there's no need to over season it. I couldn't even eat them all because they were so entirely salty. Even then I'm still rating a 4. The bread is fresh and amazing as always there will never be complaints there. Now on to the snake rattle bites. When reading me and my BF thought they would be like jalapeño poppers. They were more googey cheese filled with small jalapeños. There were decent just not what we exactly expected. We thought it would be more peppers and cheese like in the middle of the peppers. That's how it was explained on the menu if I'm not mistaken.

The restaurant interior design was probably the best part about it and honestly it is nothing to brag about. We were asked if we wanted complimentary cornbread with honey butter...and we all said yes!! I mean how can you be at a bbq place and not have cornbread. We should have known once we were given the cornbread how the rest of the meal was going to go. Unfortunately, the cornbread was colder and harder than the butter. We didn't want to pass judgement yet so we were still excited about our meal. Again, the restaurant disappointed us by lacking flavor and it being cold as well. I could only have a few bites of my smoked chicken and my husband had the brisket which was also cold and lacking flavor. I didn't even take the rest of my meal home because there was no way to salvage it; however, my husband remained hopeful that he can add flavor to his meal at home. They really failed in all areas of the dining experience and the quality food. They didn't even clear the plates between courses and the restaurant was empty. I would really hate to see this place when there are more than ten people eating. Save yourself time and money, eat at the food court. This restaurant was a total fail in our book and we will never visit it again not even for their chili.

The waffle with that pearl sugar is the way a waffle should be made but then they have that waffle filled with Dutch caramel and that mascarpone on top is perfect. The tang, sweetness, butteriness, the crisp yet fluffy waffle it all was an equation for an amazing breakfast item. I could eat that every time I go. Truly amazing. So I was excited when we finally got a chance to try it. And here is where it may have been my fault, maybe I hyped it up too much. So the funny thing when we arrived at the restaurant and I saw another friend. She told me it was her first time and it wasn't good (this was a warning!) she said especially the chicken and waffles. So again maybe it's my fault because I didn't listen. My heart was set on the chicken and waffles and she was right. It was not good. Like how do you mess up chicken and waffles? It was lacking all types of flavor. It was bad. Why 3 stars than? Because their Spicy Pork Congee was amazing! It's an Asian rice dish and everything that lacked flavor in the chicken and waffles was made up in this dish. The problem? This is only an appetizer. It needs to be an entree, which would mean making it a larger portion. It was fantastic! They also had a decent beer selection which we got. The inside of the restaurant is cute. It has so much potential I just think maybe a revamp of the recipes. But maybe another dish would be good. We came for brunch so I don't know how their dinner menu is. I will probably give them another chance because how amazing the congee was I know they have potential to be great.

My son loves egg soufflé and if you see the picture, this does not compare to the egg soufflés we've been to. Unfortunately, even the kids had a literal bad taste in their mouth.
