I visited Tin Barn Brewing for a double date and had a great time. The building is super spacious and can accommodate a lot of people. Fortunately, we visited on a night with live music, which made our experience even better. Upon our arrival, we were able to get a table right away and switch off going to order drinks and food. I thought the drinks were reasonably priced for the pours, so we all indulged. There were some unique flavors of beer my friends were able to try, all of which were liked. My husband and I stopped here on a weekend in May 2025. This place has been on our list for a long time. We grabbed some beers and found ourselves on the outdoor patio area until it started raining. This is a brewery I would be happy to revisit despite the drive. My kids loved the food, I loved the beer, and the space in general was very accommodating. OK the smoothie sours are awesome here, particularly the melted gelato series. Also the imperial stout is excellent. I also sampled the NY honey beer, which was fine. And wow were the IPAs hoppy! A vendor within the brewery serves up fresh pizza. I was a bit skeptical at first but the pizza was excellent. No complaints from the kids, and that is a great thing. I think Tin Barn offers up non-alcoholic brews from other brewers in cans. Don't hold me to that, I might be misremembering on account of 1) I didn't drink them and 2) see the aforementioned brews I tried. I am looking forward to the next trip to Tin Barn! read more

Probably one of the biggest breweries I've ever been to. I attended a birthday party at this space and it felt like there were families of all varieties. Just hanging out enjoying the music, the food which was catered on premises and just being out in the elements during the summer. Parking can be a little bit of a struggle but once you get inside it feels a little bit like a fair. You will have to stand in line to grab your drinks however, once you order your food, the service will bring it to your table which is really nice. All in all, worth the trip to check the spot out if you're a beverage connoisseur or just want to spend time with the family. read more

Came here with my wife a few weeks to enjoy the day and celebrate our anniversary, what a beautiful place. Food: my wife ended up getting two different beers that she said was very good including a sour mesh. That was a blend of four different fruits. I don't remember much about it, but I know that she enjoyed them. Service: the people working the taps were super cool and patient with everyone picking. Aesthetic: this is what honestly sells the place for me. We arrived towards the last hour of opening. They had a live band playing. Boy, for such a big place, the whole place can get loud haha It was good music but it was hard to hear yourself or the person next to you. I saw they had a tiki setup outside with fake grass. If it wasn't 100 degrees outside, I would have seen it up close haha I really liked their sours. They had two different tiki ones, one was thick and the other was thinner. Both were absolutely delicious. The IPA was okay, more on the bitter side. I wish I had more time to check out more beers but I would come back again. read more

Spacious spot with great hazy IPAs. They also make quality smoothie/pastry type sours, for those who are into that sweeter spectrum. Occasionally a stout will be on, and those are usually great. Beyond that though, there isn't a lot of beer variety, and many of the IPAs are utilizing similar hop combos. Vodka margarita pizza is great. Smash burgers can be good, though sometimes are overly salty. Biggest downside is that the performing bands are WAY too loud when performing inside (which is most of the time). Can't even hear the person next to me talk, even when I'm far away from the band. And this brewery has live music almost every night they're open, so enjoyable ambience requires either the weather being good enough to sit outside, or coming during one of the few times they don't have live music. Would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the terrible sound quality and loudness inside when bands are performing. read more

It's rare I say this for a brewery but the food and beer was delicious! I got the hot honey chicken sandwich and added caramelized onions. It was great. I didn't feel like it was a house battered chicken cutlet (I could be wrong) but it was still tasty. The vibe was nice and large area. You could easily bring a large group there to hang. You know the drill: burgers, fries, and beer always follow a hike. So after a little sojourn on the AT Boardwalk, me and a friend were on the hunt for great food and drink. Our requirements were simple: actual food. No cheese platters, no food trucks, actual real food. Tin Barn hit the spot! The setup is great - there's an open, airy inside and an EXPANSIVE outdoor space with picnic tables and high tops. There's also an upper deck. Food ordering is interesting: burgers are made outside at the burger shack and you get them there. The rest you order inside and it's brought to you. Beer is served at the inside bar and there is a selection of slurpees outdoors. Make sure you are clear on what to order where so you don't panic order and see other things you want later (cough me). Rundown: Seating was awesome! The inside has nightmare chairs -IYKYK - that don't work well for shelf butts. But the outside has sturdy, wide picnic tables, and high tops with wide, deep, rotating chairs. Umbrellas too to shade you from the sun. Ultimately we sat at a picnic table by the burger shack away from the crowds. The attendant even put an umbrella up for us since we chose one where the umbrella was tied up. My friend ordered a pizza - it was great but very cheesy. I ordered the Shack burger outside and truffle fries inside. We split the fries and I still carried a huge box home. We also shared an order of Buffalo sprouts. Fantastic. I got the fruited sour - delish and my fried got the mango IPA. The beer here is OUTSTANDING. Dunno where my head was at bc I def should have gotten a few 4packs to go. Lest you think I'm overstating the goodness of any of this: My other best friends texted me a couple hours after I got home and told me how they discovered this amazing brewery on their way home to Long Island. And posted a pic of this place. I thought they were trolling me. Nope. I missed them by 30 minutes lmaaooo. I'm 2 hours from here. They're almost 3 hrs from here in the opposite direction. An awesome local spot to come checked out beer. They have some great seltzers, ciders, and local wines too. The flavor profile on all the beers and seltzers is fantastically done. The food is a must try as well. Tin barn's pizzas are phenomenal I recommend the margherita pie or the five cheese pie. The homemade pretzel comes with delicious beer cheese sauce and old spicy mustard which has the mustard seeds and is delicious. The Waygu beef Hot Dog is a Must try as well. I absolutely love this place! They've got a huge outdoor area for drinking and enjoying food. The last time I was there they had live music which was nice. We got our drinks inside, ordered our pizza and went outside with a numbered sign. We found a table upstairs where it was less crowded and the food runner easily found us. The pizza was DELICIOUS. I'd definitely get it again. I tried all of their sours while I was there and although they were all delicious, they all kind of tasted the same which was disappointing. We wanted outside dining today and with such an enormous outdoor dining area, we had no problem finding seats. They have a good selection of pizza and food to fit everyone's craving. We opted for the Forager pizza and weren't disappointed by our choice. Staff is friendly and come around every once in a while to check on us, which says a lot about their attentiveness given we chose to sit in the upper outside area. Most importantly, the beer is fantastic! We got the Love Robot IPA and the Punch Bowl sour at the time of review, but I'll definitely be going back for more! This place has quickly become one of my favorites. I feel like I am on vacation when I am here. It's so pretty inside and the outside patio is very nice . They have music a lot of the time and it is always a great time. The beer is great and some very unique. We try to do the flights so we can try them all but we always quickly find a favorite and then end up getting a full pour if it! Cookie Monster is a great one we got it in to go cans. I would have given 5 stars but we have had two bad experiences with the food in a row. Again, they are a brewery so I think they are still trying to figure out the food thing so I get that. I ordered the Brussels sprouts (they were amazing) and a pizza with olives. Now let me preface by saying I didn't realize they don't do "toppings" and what pizza they have is it so it was actually a white pizza with olives and onions. Not into it but I should have read the listing . Anyway I order get my receipt and go to the ladies room while my boyfriend waited at the table. They have those signs with the table numbers. This system is all wrong for a place so big . We had a young man come over and ask if he could clear out plates.,.. we haven't eaten yet nothing was at the table! We got our sprouts and a pizza with chicken came out ... we are vegetarian so we politely said there was a mix up and that's not what we ordered as we don't eat meat. The food runner said " are you sure this isn't what you ordered"? Strike one ! We sent it back and not even two minutes later a girl comes out with the same pizza and says "you sure you don't want this it's what you ordered" so now I'm fuming and buzzed. I went inside and asked what was going on and this is what really got me mad. I was told "well we have to ask if you still want it because now we can't serve that pizza to anyone because we didn't know you were vegetarian " it made me feel like I had done something wrong and I didn't appreciate that at all! So here's my sum up , it's a really great place , beer and atmosphere are perfect, they also did a fundraisers for dogs so they immediately get points for that. Whenever I'm in the Hudson Valley area of NY, I'm always looking for a new brewery or winery to try. Recently, I was in Chester NY and through Yelp,found the Tin Barn Brewery. I was overwhelmingly happy with my choice. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and Tin Barn is open on Saturday afternoons. It is a big place with a huge outdoor area as well. The outdoor area is dog friendly and was filling up with people, their pets and even family. The day was beautiful and atmosphere was totally chill. The beers are pretty good too. Lots of IPA's and Sours, with some Seltzers. There is a good selection. They have a food menu with pizzas and burgers. I recommend the Smash burger. It's delicious. If the Tin Barn was near my home, I can absolutely see myself hanging out there for a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon. There is a stage in the outside area, which tells me they have bands and entertainment. If you are in the Chester area and like good beers, good food and a great atmosphere, Tin Barn is a must stop. read more

The world is too big to stay in one place. This is the last stop for my party of five's Hudson Valley, NY one day adventure. Tin Barn Brewing concocts limited local quality craft beers of Session IPA 5.9% ABV, Fruit Sour 6.0% ABV, and NETIPA 9.6% ABV. However, no Pale Ale, Lager, Saison, Porter, and no Stout either from Tin Barn Brewing. This business do not accept reservations. Indoor and outdoor seating are available and weather dependent for outdoor. Indoor space is gargantuan with high ceilings of a rural barn. The indoor atmosphere displays an antiquated farm tractor and other large relic agriculture and farming machinery. My party of five friends and I visited this craft beer brewery on Sunday, July 25, 2021 which unfortunately there were no working WiFi and when asked "no WiFi, but we're working on it" appears to be the standard callous response. No internet signal either when indoor. The indoor air has a very strong putrid pungent odor either from craft beer or from the remnants of the brewery stainless steel tanks. Food is available which makes one's outing to become a lunch gathering with local craft beer as libation which appears Tin Barn concocts own food with a functional commercial on site kitchen. I decided on a can soda ginger ale for sobriety and recovery from my two previous libations. read more

After Hike Fuel! After a 10+ mile hike I stopped in to get a good brew and some grub! The place is fairly large and from what I saw you get your brew in one area and your pizza or pretzel snack at another area. I was SO HAPPY to finally take a road trip to the area and make a stop at Tin Barn. The owners are from LI, so of course, they have a pretty solid fan base down here. I'd tried a bunch of their beers in the past, but to finally see the taproom was awesome. The space is awesome. Somehow they took a truly massive space (literally a converted, redone barn) and make the space feel cozy. There's a big fireplace, lots of cozy seating, and even a truck you can sit at a table on top of (of course my seat of choice). We tried every beer they had on tap and everything was delicious. The staff was so sweet and enthusiastic to chat about the beers, which is always huge for me. Overall Impression: For sure, come here.
