I have been craving seafood for a few Days now. I came across Fish & Chikzz after doing a search for "best seafood near me". I ordered the crab balls (which were genuine crab), a side of fried shrimp and collard greens. The collard greens were cooked down, just the way I like them. The shrimp were a nice size and not overcooked. I found out after placing my order that all the fried seafood options on the menu can also be grilled so I will definitely be back for that. Good job! I had been meaning to check this place out for a while, being that it is very close to home. The staff was very friendly and you could tell that they are trying to establish a customer fan base. I ordered a combo that came with shrimp, chicken wings, whiting fish, and fries. When the order came out there were two trays off food and I initially thought, wow, that's a lot of food for $20. Then he said the total, $37.00.... He definitely got my order wrong but I didn't make a fuss and just paid for it. Not sure if he thought I wanted two or added on someone else's order. So let talk about the food, shall we. The shrimp were nice size, seasoned well and fresh. The fish was pretty good too, I just wasn't crazy about the dark meat on the fish. Now for the chicken.... Chicken and fish shouldn't share the same seasoning or grease in my opinion. I was not a fan of the chicken, but the place isn't "chicken n' chips". Wanted to try here after picking up GrubHub orders here and they smelled amazing. So I took a sit at the bar to order take out since the take out side of place was closed. The guy at bar, was very friendly and awesome. He took my order and explained my options for sides and made suggestions since it was my first time trying them myself. So I ordered brown stew fish dinner. It was nice he served me a drink of ice tea while I wait for my food. Incredible service here, can't state that enough , since it's hard to find places like this that good to their customers. They have deliveries with a minimum 20.00 order as well they added some Caribbean/soul options I don't like the fries, hopefully they change brands or even better make fresh cut. horrible service. we waited for over an hour and folks who came in after us received their food before we did. to add insult to injury they ordered some of the same things we did. make it make sense. the gentleman serving us walked all around our table not once giving us an update or apologizing for the delay. it was so bad that folks at other tables started asking us what time we arrived because we were there before them and they were complaining about the wait too. we never got our food. we finally got his attention to pay for our sodas and all he could say is its ok you don't have to pay if you're not going to wait. unbelievable! we will never go back and will never recommend anyone to go here read more

This is Larry Love and his Brother's Place. They can't be touched when it comes to great food and service. The fish is fresh with large portions, and the sides are top of the line. No one comes close to out doing them. The ambiance is 5 stars as well. They can't be touched in the seafood business. They're, in my opinion, the best in all of Hudson Valley. I attended a dinner party that was catered at this location over the weekend and the host planned to have a full meal including baked & fried chicken, fish, shrimp, macaroni & cheese, collared green and yams with iced tea or lemonade and cornbread on the side. It has nice music playing over the speakers and a comfortable setting for a large group of people to be seated. Our party was set up for groups of five to go up to the counter to get a plate and this unfortunately, was a super slow process. We stood there for a long time waiting on food that was supposed to be hot and ready an hour prior but it wasn't. No one told us what was going on for a while and we just stood there and waited. It seemed a little disorganized. Finally, They had us sit back down while they warmed the food back up. Only one person got a plate of food and that was cold too. When the rest of the group finally got their food, it was just okay, cold, and some of it wasnt seasoned enough. All of the guests ate their food, but we all felt like it wasn't hot enough and just needed a little more love put into it. The man in charge was really nice, but upset the host when he originally ensured her that everyone would get large plates of food and have plenty for seconds. Only one person tried, it was the birthday boy and he tried to get a plate but was turned away and told there was no more food left. Overall, we made the best of it and had a nice time, but it may not be the best choice for a party. I hope they can improve things and do better for the next person who secures them for an event. read more

It's a mixed bag with this place! If you order fish or shrimp on the weekend your fish is fresh. If you order during the week, you may get refried, hard and stale fish and shrimp. No matter if you order during the week or weekend, you have to wait almost 45 minutes for your food. They never get your order correct! They leave out the cornbread or hush puppies that come with your meal. When you tell them they didn't include it with your meal, they want you to wait an additional 10-25 minutes! Don't get me wrong! The food is good. My time and money will be spent in another establishment that care about building a clientele and making sure their customers are happy! read more

On a whim,I stopped in one night after work and got dinner to go. The platter which had hushpuppies,shrimp,fish,fries,wingettes were excellent. Good tasting,light coating and without a doubt fresh as could be a not sitting under some headlamps. Not one drop of grease anywhere which we also had 6 whole wings and onion rings. I have been to this location in New Windsor when they first opened and I wasn't impressed with the food. I had red snapper that smelled like it was bad, was under seasoned and covered in some type of sauce. I ended up sending it back. However, I decided to try again yesterday and ordered a fish and shrimp dinner with mac and yams as my sides and salmon bites for an appetizer. The food was not good. It taste like they didn't season the shrimps and fish, just tossed them in plain flour. The mac and cheese had a flavor that I was not used to, it didn't taste like cheddar cheese was used. The yams were a little sweet and had kind of a smoky flavor. There was no other customers in the place and it took about 30 minutes for the food to come out.
