The food was not seasoned. Jerk pork 15$. Never again. Nobody tastes this food to make sure people could cook????

I am a true fan of oxtails dishes. After reading that there a few customers were not satisfied with the portions of this dish, less oxtails with plenty of gravy and vegetables for the price that was charged can be very upsetting. NOT GOOD FOR THE BUSINESS! read more

EATS: chicken patty, coco bread Kept it simple for this trip but plan on coming back and trying more food. I coco bread was good and I was impressed by the jerk chicken patty. Coming from Caribbean family, I am always very careful about Caribbean food outside of my house but the patty was good enough for me to eventually try the main dishes! read more

The food and portions are about as bad as the dude who was running the joint. Overall a underwhelming experience.

this place has a nice vibe. had nice jamaican music flowing.. looks clean and the ambience was uplifting. thats what attracted me to this corner. (located in the galleria mall where nathans grill used to be in the far corner of the food court). this place is a gem food is so good. authentic. tasty. tender. service was excellent . the server gave me a large portion of food. i ordered rice and beans, cabbage , and curry chicken. wow. just wow. i cant believe they have this at the galleria mall in MIDDLETOWN - not your typical fastfood gross food you get at the mall. it reminds me of homemade food your mom makes. so delicious. they also had patties on display. i will def be back. so excited for this store. i hope they do well so i can eat this when im craving jamaican food read more

Scotch Bonnet - curry chicken on rice and beans with cabbage - Caribbean Near Me - Middletown, New York

The owner is always pleasant, positive and engaging. The jerks wings are great. Excellent flavor with a nice heat.

Food poisoning after eating here with friends outta town terrible attitudes dude needs a shave and a bath funky oder coming from the food case fake ground meat it's a meat substitute got so sick after eating here read more

HIT OR MISS! I have gone here and the food was very good, but sometimes it was not so. The "common denominator" for my not so great experiences is that the later you go, the quality of the food goes down. Occasionally, I will go in for lunch on a weekday around 12-12:30 PM and the food is great as it was not out for very long at that point. I have also gone in the late afternoon amd early evenings amd the food has been dried out or almost to the point of burnt from sitting out all day. I give it 3 stars as the food is good (when you go early). So, if you want to check it out, I reccomend you go as early as possible! read more

I ordered the large side box of curry goat here couple weeks ago, The portion was very good. I ordered again today and the guy didn't i even fill 1/2 of the box and maybe 3-4 pieces of meat and mostly rice; , for $16. this is overpriced. I never eat here again. read more

Scotch Bonnet - a styrofoam container of food - Caribbean Near Me - Middletown, New York

So have to come through Middletown more than I like and unfortunately my issue plenty of times is no place decent to eat, but today was such a treat. Can't even remember the last time i been to that mall, but Scotch is so needed and i would presume welcome by my fellow West Indians. This spot was highly recommend by my dogs groomer Ken. OMG....he was on point because i am not gonna lie i was real skeptical. The owner is mad cool and full of personality. I sure hope he will be around for some time. Middletown needs it in a bad way. read more

Scotch Bonnet - Curry goat and tender - Caribbean Near Me - Middletown, New York

Food was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. Family owned business. Father is very sweet and friendly. I got the fry chicken rice and peas curry chicken gravy with cabbage. I enjoyed every bite of it. read more

It has some of the best Jamaican food in the area. Most of the other restaurants are dirty, was pleasantly surprised that it was a clean looking place. Food was great, patties were great. Worth coming here. Wish they were on ubereats or DoorDash. read more

I'm upset , i went to get food from scotch bonnet just now and no one is there. I see food on burners. I actually just wanted a beef patty. I called the number someone answers "hello, how may I help you?" I start talking and they hung up on me. I called back maybe got disconnected and no answer just rings. So I stand in front for about ten mins and walk away. Disappointed. This not the first time they done that. read more

This place is too good to be in the mall. It tastes like authentic Jamaican food!! Convenient location + great food = I highly recommend

Curry chicken and jerk chicken with cabbage and plantain are my favorite dishes here.

Middletown could really use a good Caribbean restaurant as a number of them have come and gone. Scotch Bonnet is a welcome site. Located in the mall it's limited to mall hours. I ordered 2 curry chicken rice and peas. I must say the food was very flavorful and well seasoned. My complaint is that the chicken lacked any meat...mostly boney parts. No thighs or legs. This is my only complaint about the restaurant otherwise I'd give them a 5 for flavor read more

I've found this place in the food court in the mall and was curious to know if this food taste as good as it smelled. The food was delicious! Jerk chicken is seasoned really well! The service is good. This place is by far better than any other Caribbean restaurants in the area! If your into Caribbean food do yourselves a favor by going to Scotch Bonnet! read more

Maybe I went to late in the afternoon but it was a rainy dreary day not many people in the mall or food court.I ordered a large oxtail dinner and got more rice than anything with gravy and bones very little meat to be seen. I figured since they weren't busy I would get a better serving. The gravy was very good so maybe next time if I go back which would be my third time, (the first time same thing rice, gravy and small bones maybe 3 with meat on another large oxtail dinner order) I'll just ask for rice with gravy. read more

Everything was delicious - chicken patty, plantains, rice & beans, and salad. Great vibe too!

This was the first time eating here. I ordered the small Curry Goat with steamed vegetables, Rice and Peas, a couple pieces of fFried Chicken and one Beef Patty. The food was Awesome, large quantity, very authentic Jamaican food with Jamaican flavors. This took my taste buds down memory lane. Even the patty was Krusty and tasty. Not to mention service with a smile. I'll definitely be back here. Nuff Respect Always. read more

Delicious food and really nice people! I got the jerk chicken and it was tasty and well prepared. Would definitely recommend this place to my fellow Guyanese fam and everyone else! read more

Really good Jamaican food, especially since it's a mall stand. Really nice authentic people plus Ting!

Staff was friendly, clean establishment and the food was good! Sampled the jerked chicken....Spicy spicy but yummy yummy! Ordered the Oxtails, which came with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains! Everything was flavorful! Oh, and we also tried a chicken patty...Definitely will return! read more

Great food minus the Mac and cheese which is the only reason I do not give it 5 stars. The portion size is worth the price and the taste is amazing. My favorite that I recommend is the jerk chicken which I wish I had the recipe for their jerk sauce because everywhere I've had has tasted different and theirs is the best! read more

I got their curry goat with rice and veggies... I recommend! Simple homey food. I'd say best quality of food in the mall food court. Owner was very kind! read more

When I good out they were opening a Jamaican restaurant in the mall I was a little skeptic but the food is good and this place is much needed in Middletown not much places like this. read more

Hey this is my second time coming and trying your food in the galleria (white plains )and I wanted to really put on FaceBook for people to try you guys out as an African-American person....trying to support our own.... today I was really disappointed to only have three oxtails in my meal which I paid 13.50... I was there Sunday....Sunday portion was good but today portion will make you not want to come back and support y'all.... the way you see my plate is my way it was when I open it... just wanted to give my personal reviews.I sent a text message with a picture of my plate to the number listed on website with no reply back read more

Slow service. There was no one in line ahead of me and there seemed to be only one girl taking orders, preparing the dishes, and ringing people up. She also made a face when ordered my food (like i ordered something incorrectly), even after I told her I've never been there before. No prices listed on the menu for their wraps, and I was unpleasantly surprised that the jerk chicken wrap I ordered was $15... for a mall food court! The spice on the chicken was delicious with a nice kick, but lots of bones in it, so I had to chew delicately. She even asked me if i wanted the chicken cut off the bone. Like, really? How else am I supposed to eat chicken like that in a wrap? I will likely not eat here again, nor recommend it to anyone. read more

I ordered Jerk chicken, cabbage and rice&beans. The portion in a large order was perfect for my large appetite with a little leftover. The food was well seasoned and delicious. Somebody's put their foot in it!!!!! read more

The food is okay with good flavor but the serving of a lot rice and a few pieces of meat, 3 or 4 pieces if you're lucky, is hurtful. They want you to spend $14 for rice and skimpy pieces of meat. I could buy a pack of meat containing 15 pieces for $12 and make it myself. I guess that's what I'll do. They sure do cater to the not so expected customers though. read more

You definitely get more than what you pay for. Very generous with the amounts of food they serve. You'll definitely want seconds and more after that. This ain't no fast food this REAL FOOD!!! read more

The oxtail stew was wonderful! Fast And incredibly friendly service was a super bonus! I will definitely be back

Bad customer service. Staff don't seem to know what's going on. Not just bad training, bad attitude. I didn't even get my meal due to repeated mistakes with my order. I finally left. read more
