Customer service could be improved drastically, time waiting on food could be reduced, loss of customers could be reduced.. all it takes is for one of the employees to come to the front to help package the food. Eddys in Newburgh would never watch several customers leave because of wait time and one customer service person serving food. They would have had 1 or 2 more people come help out. The oxtails are delicious. The flavors are everything they should be. The portions are good. They give you the correct amount of oxtails for the price. The restaurant is small and more of a take out place, but you can eat in. The people serving the food are quiet but they ask you if you want the plantain and cabbage. I've driven two hours for good oxtails and now I don't have to. My husband gets the jerk chicken and he loves it. Stop in and try a few things. read more

I'm Jamaican and always dying for a good Jamaican restaurant upstate which if you live here you know is next to impossible to find. Overall I was not impressed but it wasn't a let down either. I ordered ox tails and maybe I went at the wrong time of the day because most of my plate was bones with barely any meat. I went on a Sunday afternoon around 1 PM and I don't know if it was a Covid thing or maybe they had a busy morning but almost everything listed on the menu was not available that day. We ended up getting ox tails and curry chicken. For both plates, The rice was the biggest portion on the plate. And two fried plantains a plate. Like I said, I would say it was average. The race was OK, the ox tails were not greasy and the curry chicken was a little bland to me. If you're Jonesing for Jamaican food this will scratch the itch. read more

They weren't stingy on the amount of meat and the staff were very polite, this is definitely my new spot for Jamaican food. Updating my review because today I tried their curry chicken and it was the best that I've had in Middletown. Usually with other restaurants I have to add salt or something to my meal but this was flavorful and perfect. When you think of Jamaican Food you might think very spicy but that's not the case here although you can get spicy dishes. I'm looking forward to popping in for some of the breakfast foods!
