Good place to get good portioned, slightly elevated diner classics in a neighborhood bar setting. My wife and I came in for weekday lunch, and found it to be a good experience. I had marked Junior's as a place to go for a meal while planning our Northeast US trip. Don't remember why, assuming I must have read it in a 'best of Poughkeepsie' guide on some webpage. So when we finished our tour of the Vanderbilt mansion around lunchtime, we took the winding path to get here in 20 minutes (located about 5 miles Northeast of downtown Poughkeepsie). The interior was newer, and wasn't too crowded. One waitress/bartender was running front of house and was extremely helpful and friendly. It's a townie bar, where everyone seemed to know each other. Restaurants like these depend on the mercy of delivery, and found out after we ordered that two of our choices (Clams Casino and Buffalo Wings) were not available. Instead, my wife got the Fish & Chips ($20), with me getting the recommended Ribeye Melt ($21). Blue moon was on tap, so got that (way overpriced at $9 for 12 oz). The fish dish promised us 3 beer-battered cod loins, and it delivered. Each piece was large and had been expertly deep fried. The fries were thick and crisp, and the same ramekin of cole slaw was perfect. Even though none of it was homemade, for me, it was one of the best fish fries I've had in a while. My recommended Ribeye sandwich was great as well. I really liked the crunchy and solid ciabatta bread, and the meat and cheese was generous, and tender/melty respectively. The fries were good, expertly prepared, not too greasy. This is the kind of diner I like...where the food comes mostly pre-prepared, but it's clear they have a really good food supplier, and are able to keep the food prices down. read more

The restaurant/bar is nice. It was super loud so hard to talk which is usually not my favorite but I understand it's a bar. My ribeye sandwich was delicious. I asked for medium rare and they delivered. So good...probably the best thing on the menu. My only disappointment was cold fries. Several of the others at the table got cold fries as well. My hubby was disappointed with his jambalaya. Although it had an nice portion of shrimp the flavor was lacking. I know this place is new but I probably won't be back for a while. read more

Another amazing lunch at Junior's Too. The seafood chowder had so much flavor! Every meal we have had here has been top quality. Coming from Wappingers Falls and sampling wings in every area I stumbled upon Juniors Too and I loved the ability to walk in and socialize with Hannah and request the college football game that I wanted to see. It was immediately put on and I tried to try their wings as I heard the chef diligently working in the kitchen. Food was outstanding. Nachos were more than filling as the beef was fresh and tasty. Korean sweet chili wings were just that...sweet tangy with just a little bit of spice. Parmesan garlic wings were just as good as I continued to lick my fingers. I will definitely return. read more

Went to trivia night and had a fun time. Had the Ahi tuna bowl. Tuna was cooked perfectly and the rice was very flavorful with the mango, black beans and onion. The fried plantains were perfectly fried and yet soft in the middle. Friends had the fried seafood platter and it look delicious and friends said it was great. Tasted a few of the the spring cocktails.... the lavendar lemonade was light and refreshing, the marti with fresh stuffed blue cheese was delicious and friends said the biscoff martini was delicious and a must try. read more

Very clean and so far the staff has been wonderful. I really enjoy the weekly specials. My only complaint is that don't order a smash burger because it's just a regular burger that is absolutely not "smashes" and in fact quite well done and not good. I clearly did not eat yet no compensation was made. read more

I checked out the new "Junior's Too" recently and was so glad I did. They did a fantastic interior remodel of the structure at 1126 Dutchess Turnpike making use of light, open space, and focusing on a large open center bar. The atmosphere is bright and fun. The vibe is friendly and energetic. The menu is well crafted with some interesting twists and daily specials. Very reasonably priced food and drinks. I was also delighted to learn they have one of the best chefs in this area. Their new logo design suggests the Phoenix symbol; A mythical bird which is said to rise from its own ashes. Indeed this place has. They are going to do well. Congratulations to all. read more

Met there with some friends from High School. Everything was great, the service, the food, and the beer. My wife and I went back the other day. I had the Ribeye sandwich, my wife had the Tempura Shrimp, both were very good. My only recommendation would be to have a couple of lower tables. My wife is short, and it was hard for her to get on the chair. read more

What a fantastic place. Atmosphere is light and open. Quite refreshing. Exceptionally designed layout with a beautiful large bar and lots of tables. The service was amazing, Hannah is fantastic, attentive, quick, and most importantly a pleasure to deal with. The food is amazing and well priced for the high quality and great flavor combinations. I loved the shrimp jalapeno popper quesadilla. The fries are so, so, so good, too. I met the owners, Louie and Nancy.
