I had a guava pablo and absolutely loved it. Since it was a weekday, I planned to stick to one drink, but after trying a sample of a frozen "piña colada" with a spicy touch, I couldn't resist. I am still thinking about that drink! My husband tried their beer, which was super cool that they had it, and the other frozen peach drink that he really liked, but I am still obsessed with mine. We also had soft pretzels and a guava empanada. The empanada was 10/10, reminded me of home (I'm Brazilian), but the pretzels were not great (we still ate everything). To eat, I opened for the classic Caesar salad with crispy chicken which was soooo good and the portion was absolutely massive. A bunch of my friends got the filet in addition to the salmon. Beautifully crisped chicken, cabbage slaw, homemade pickles, chipotle mayo were perfectly flavored, seasoned, and balanced. It's like the perfect bite in an entire sandwich and doesn't leave your hands super messy. The sandwich is typically served with fries but I chose the house salad and it was a nice burst of freshness from a rich sandwich. That dressing is delish!! The food is terrific here, but there are plenty of good mexican restaurants where we would not be treated so shabbily. We never even had water brought to the table. Do better. We drove around looking for somewhere else to eat, but every place was packed. We ended up at an Indian restaurant, Tanjore (great place), in Fishkill where we finally had dinner at 8. 2 hours after arriving at Azteca and not being served.

The Storyteller is a legit farm to table restaurant with amazing service. Jolyn couldn't have been more attentive and she made sure she was always checking in on us. She had great recommendations and was an awesome server. Our food was delicious and super fresh. All of the ingredients were so fresh and there are even students from the CIA across the street working in the kitchen. My seasonal salad was really good - loved the poppy seed dressing ! My salmon entree was cooked to perfection too. My husband had the caesar salad with a burger patty on top and he loved it. The unassuming Apple Crisp dessert was worth the calories. Sorry no photo ... it disappeared real fast! All and all, don't sleep on The Storyteller restaurant. It's located off the lobby area of the Inn at Bellefield.
