My cousin lives…read morein Modena, so we had to check it out together initially, and I've gone back a few other times with friends. But, I've decided I'm not going back anymore. It's just too expensive. Honestly $25.00 for a burger and fries is just so unreasonable, and all of the sandwiches are about the same price. The cocktails are insanely expensive and the beer is exorbitantly priced. Here they are brewing the beer themselves - there's no "middle man" to pay, and I was charged $11.00 last time for a 10 ounce pour ! The poor value caused me to hold off on ordering a second serving. And then I just decided not to because it was a rip-off. Also, on my last experience, I ordered a flatbread pizza and it was not good at all. First of all, when you hear the word "flatbread", you're thinking something on the order of crust that is definitely no thicker than 1/2 inch, BUT, this "flatbread" was THICK like Sicilian style pizza and that's not what I wanted at all. I asked the server about it, and she confirmed "Yeah, that's just how the kitchen serves them." It was hard to eat. The crust was super crunchy (no chewiness at all like a thick bread should have) and all of the ingredients on top were falling off with every bite.

They have an eclectic menu; with Irish classics of course, Mexican, Italian and American favorites. Our Server was Kelly. It was a slow Sunday afternoon. Down the block was a Oaxacan festival Guelaguetza; plenty of food there, but it was a hot and humid day and the food stalls added more heat. We thought why not get a cold beer in an air conditioned place. Free WiFi Password - Guinness TV's all over the place, with different sports on them. Beer: ales, IPA's, pilsners. Mixed drinks. Cold cans of beer on ice. I asked Why no bottles? There's a college nearby and a glass bottle could pose a problem. A daily event calendar: karaoke night, trivia night, see photo. I can imagine on a weekend night this place is really hopping. The Poughkeepsie Metro North station is within walking distance. They have parking and outdoor dining options. We will be back.

The place looks really cool and I saw people eating outside, which looks like it would have been enjoyable. Our party of four sat inside; I was afraid it would be very loud but the acoustics were really good and even though it was lively, we could hear each other and not the other tables, which was awesome. Our server was Patrick and he was amazing. He had recommendations for everything and he didn't miss. I don't even know the name of the cocktail I had (maybe a Manhattan Brooklyn or something like that?) because I told him what I liked and he brought his recommendation, which was perfect. He also warned us not to fill up on the delicious hot rolls they served because portions were big for the entrees and again, he was on target. He brought my husband a glass of wine that he absolutely loved as well. We shared artichoke dip to start and it was really delicious. I couldn't have eaten most of it myself. I had the NY Strip steak and it came with spinach and mashed potatoes. It was very good.....it's not the best steak I ever had but it was high quality and reasonably priced. For dessert, he recommended a few items and we liked them all. There was an orange cake which was awesome, and also some blueberry cake which was amazing. The Dubai chocolate cake was good and if we had only had that, I would say it's good but it was not match for the other two. What elevates this to five stars for me is the overall experience. I loved the atmosphere, the whole team there is really focused on delivering a memorable service experience and Patrick just took it over the top. I don't think it would be possible to have a bad meal if he was your server. He's just excellent and he's what tipped the scales from four stars to five stars.

4.5 rounded up. The starters were also pretty good - we got the mushroom bisque and the baby arugula salad with goat cheese wontons. For entrees, we got the lobster pasta which I liked a lot but my husband didn't (a bit too creamy and mushy for him I think - and admittedly the lobster was a bit overcooked and rubbery), and the Hudson valley duck Peking style (I wouldn't recommend this - it was sadly not that great). We ended with the tiramisu, which was decent. Overall, pretty good food relatively speaking and look forward to returning!

It took a while for the server to come and take our order and an even longer time for our drinks and food to come out. We could tell something was really wrong because other tables were complaining. It took 45 min for our drinks to come and 1.5 hours for our food. My salmon dish was good. The salmon was cooked well and the skin crispy. I was starving by the time the food came. My friends' gnocchi was soggy and lacked flavor, despite being visibly drenched in butter. It's still unclear to me if something unique was happening that night or if this was the restaurant's standard service. It would have been nice if someone came to explain the delay, but we were left in the dark. It seemed like the table full of rude people loudly complaining got a few free drinks and apps. We were seated before them and politely waited, but they didn't offer to comp any of our food or provide an apology regarding the delay. Given the lack of explanation and the indifference regarding their poor service, I am left to believe this type of service is standard here. There were many points in the night where we thought about leaving to get dinner elsewhere. I would not recommend Runa.

It is lined up right in Main Street with other smaller restaurants and bars. This was one of my favorite cheap eateries in the town while I was in college. I have been here twice since for happy hour specials. I ordered the chicken wings and the shrimp tacos. The drinks were around $5 which is a steal compared to New York City prices. In the past they used to offer a large fishbowl drink for your birthday. It was huge and took several people to drink it. Currently it is the size of a large cup as you can see in the picture. It does the job but it is much smaller than what it was in 2010. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I usually sit at the bar which is a great place to meet others and watch the game. I plan to come back soon and take advantage of the happy hour specials again.
