Met a friend here on a Tuesday around 11:50am. This restaurant is quaint and has a walk up bar along with several tables. The server (bartender) was super friendly and attentive. We ordered the single burger with dirty fries and beet coleslaw. Our friend ordered the burger on the gluten free bun (potato) and French fries. The burgers were beautifully presented. The patties tasted great. The potato gluten free bun tasted great but was not very hearty as it crumbled apart as the burger was being eaten. The dirty fries were fantastic! The chili was delicious with nice pieces of meat!! The regular fries were crisp, tasty and not greasy. All was good. Had this restaurant in my "collections" for awhile now. Finally made it on a Tuesday evening. I love how the menu is on the wall visible for everyone. Street parking is available as well as a lot right across from the restaurant. I love the water station available. There is a bench out front to eat as well as plenty of tables indoors & a beautiful setting in the back to eat where it was packed with customers. I will be returning to eat in the back area with the warmer weather upon us. The food was made to order. The burgers were delicious. I was never into sweet pickles but it tasted pretty good on the burger. Am I converting to the sweet pickle crew? No. BUT I would eat it again on a burger from Meyer's. Great spot for lunch. I had the chicken sandwich, my daughter had the burger, and we split an order of fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. Be sure to try the orange sauce that's on the table--it was really tasty and paired well with the fries. Prices were fair, especially for the quality of the food. The only thing I'd change is the seating. The hard benches and backless chairs aren't very comfortable, so I'd love to see those upgraded. We came on a whim while driving around the area antiquing. We were able to snag a couple seats at the bar, as they were quite busy at peak lunchtime on a Sunday. We got a double dutch, crispy chicken sandwich, and fries. To drink, I tried a seasonal gin cocktail. The cocktail was well balanced and refreshing. The burger and chicken sandwiches were tasty and messy due to the large size and generous toppings. Chicken was extra crispy. Fries were seasoned well and even better with fry sauce. I first saw this place on social media and was enticed to go as I was going to be in Beacon. I would not have time to dine in so I placed an online order for pickup. When doing so they gave an address of X, Yet when I went to X, there was a sign telling me that they were relocated to Y. Something you'd think they'd tell you on the order or confirmation pages... Anyway, I walk in to Y to pick up my order and since it's food, I figure I'll wash my hands. NOPE. The hipster behind the counter quips "no public restrooms. The space they're in is pretty small but it does have a number of eat-in counter style seats which I didn't know you could have without a restroom. I wonder if this is up to code? Anyway, the burger tested pretty good but was a bit greasy and messy to consume. My wife wanted the chicken fingers which were underwhelmingly thin making them more breading then chicken. They also carried some odd deasoning I couldn't place - it was like a cross between old bay and Chinese 5-spice powder. The sweet potatoe fries were tasty but again cut very thin and like the chicken fingers waaaaay too salty. End result: Skip MOD. Maybe I'll give it another try once they're in a real space, but even then I'm interested by the atmosphere and libations - both of which were non-existent in this location. Located in the quaint downtown of Beacon, NY Meyers has a nice sitting section to enjoy your meal as well as patio seating At first we were confused as to how to order but the wait staff was very pleasant and eager to help. After taking our order the food was hot and ready. We got an order of wings a crispy chicken sandwich and dirty fries aka chili fries. Everything we got was delicious. Our friend got the lemon pepper curry wings and the had great flavor with a little curry kick. We also enjoyed the drinks that were prepared to order. A Maple old fashioned and a Japanese Martini hit the spot. The price was right and food was delicious. Will definitely be going back for more. This was a great discovery by one of my friends, and it had me going since their main go-to is the burgers. As entering, we weren't expecting it to be small inside, which was no issue by all means, but it fits just right in the atmosphere. Even though there are a few, the food is undoubtedly outstanding. Ordering is taken care of at the register as paying will be done there. The gentlemen explained the details clearly as we ordered, making sure everything was put in correctly, and also taking the time for us to look it over. I was happy to see the food come out pretty quickly, which wasn't expected as it was busy. The Double Dutch Burger was the ultimate choice for sure, as it was juicy and messy for the most part, and the meat was cooked right. Something that caught my attention was, they didn't ask how I want my burger cooked. I can understand that some restaurants are like that. Wasn't sure if they forgot or just don't offer it all (my guess, but will find out next time when I ask). In the end, I used my fork to finish the remaining toppings that fell out of my burger. I had the single dutch (pictured) and a side of fries. My friend had the steak burger on special. I can't imagine how big the double dutch would have been! The double fried fries were spot on and seasoned with salt and pepper and SO SO good. The burger was perfect. I asked for no onions since they were raw and he offered grilled onions instead which I got and it was perfect.
