We recently ordered lunch from The Beacon Daily for a group of 20 people attending a special event weekend at Glynwood in Cold Spring, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, Chris, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Since The Beacon Daily typically does not offer direct delivery for a la carte orders, I explained that this lunch was part of a very important three day celebration and that everything needed to be handled with extra care. Without hesitation, Chris personally stepped in, took ownership of the order, and even delivered it himself all the way to Glynwood's Perkins House. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate our requests were truly remarkable. He thoughtfully provided compostable plates, napkins, and flatware and made sure every aspect of the order was handled flawlessly. It is rare to find a business owner so personally invested in ensuring a customer's event is successful. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. The event planner shared that the lunch was extremely well received, with guests offering numerous compliments throughout the afternoon. This little restaurant is a great find. Everything I've had here so far is great. The chop cheese, the fried chicken sandwich, and tater tots sides are delicious and flavorful. Great spot for lunch! My husband and I stopped in on our way back to our Airbnb after a long morning hike. This place is counter service, so we made our way directly to the register to place our order. Upon ordering, we were warned that it would be at least a 30 minute wait until our food was ready due them being short staffed. Although we were hungry, we weren't in a rush and truly appreciated the heads up! I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich and WOWZA! The sandwich was HUGE! I took a photo of my Gatorade bottle laying next to it for comparison (haha). I hardly ate half of it because it was so filling, however it was definitely delicious. My husband ordered a sandwich of his own (although I can't remember which one) and he was equally pleased. We also ordered a side of tots which were crispy and salty, just how I like them! My husband and I definitely could've shared one sandwich as we both don't eat a lot in one sitting, so this is something to keep in mind if you're reading this before your first visit here!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we chose to sit on the front patio. It was such a lovely atmosphere for lunch! Also, because we were sitting outside, they told us to come back in 30 minutes to check if our order was ready because we wouldn't be able to hear them call our name. There are few food items I enjoy more than a good breakfast sandwich, and man did this hit the spot. I had been meaning to check it out for a while, when a weekend road trip led me nearby. The lox was piled on high, and the other key ingredients--red onions, tomato and capers (!)--were generously laid out on top of nice spread of cream cheese, and all put together on a tasty muffin. The intention was to eat half of it there and the other half after putting some miles behind me, but, well, that sandwich didn't stand a chance. Really nice spot off the main Street in beacon. Seems to be a really quiet neighborhood and looks like everybody else around the area also walks up to order their food and seem to be regulars. The staff is really friendly and there is more than enough room to sit inside or outside on the patio. There is a very curated and limited menu and everything they make they do really well. They even have a sandwich called the Tony Bourdain which I will try next time. I had the turkey club which was fantastic! We came here while visiting Beacon on a day trip for some breakfast. We were a group of seven and we were looking for some good affordable eats. This place was perfect for us. It was a cute café with games to play and lots of food options. I decided to order the turkey club and it was super delicious. My husband ordered the famous chicken and waffle sandwich, which is humongous. Everyone was raving about how good it was and it did deliver. The prices were decent and the place was a nice place to eat. They don't have wait service you have to order at the counter and bring the food to your table. I thought that was a little strange, but I guess that's the way the place works. They also have cute merchandise for purchase and I will definitely recommend. read more

Awesome spot for a quick lunch, there's absolutely something for everyone here! Serving up breakfast all day, the home of Hudson Valley's best fried chicken sandwich is what will usually bring people in here. Our friend's love for the chicken sandwich is what got us here but what we ordered up was their vegan burrito. It was light, and perfect for a breakfast/lunch. But what stole the show for me were those extra crispy tots! I do wish the tofu in the burrito was more chorizo spiced, it was more on the blander side and the spinach was also pretty bland and ice cold. Other than that, I'm sure next time I order it will be the way it's meant to be exploding with flavors! Can't wait to try their waffles too. Highly recommend the fried chicken breakfast burrito, and after that, the chorizo breakfast burrito. We forgot to ask for sauce and I think both would've been further enhanced with the addition of some acidity (green sauce would be my choice) but as is, it was a cohesive, easy to eat, and hearty burrito! Their breakfast sandwiches are probably still outstanding - but their lunch sandwiches have definitely lost a step. I was enthused to try their Cubano (an all time favorite sandwich of mine), and while it was good, it missed the mark on a few points. The ham/pork ratio was off, and it definitely could have been pressed more. At least it was stuffed though, which is more than I can say about their chicken Caesar sandwich that consisted of a thin dry cutlet, and was mostly bread and lettuce. I'm all for a light sandwich, but at the price point I expect more, and feel like previously it would have been overstuffed with moist chicken cutlets. However when I went I was disappointed by my sandwich, I was expecting a better quality I guess. I just wasn't impressed. Plus I had to wait longer to get my food because they forgot about my order. Which I get that happens but it added to my disappointment. The place is very cute and was busy when I went. Loved they use fresh eggs over that carton stuff, do wish the eggs were seasoned though, also should got cheese added since it needed it, the tater tots were very crispy and lightly salted just right, both the sausage and ham, were cooked and grilled just right. Plus the tortilla wrap was pillowy soft, can't tell you how many places used dried ones over awesome places like that that warm them first. Food was good, the staff were super friendly and nice, Ambiance is very chill. Just disappointed bc I thought I was getting a Chicken Shawarma on pita. It was listed under sandwich's, my receipt says Chicken Shawarma, but what I got was chicken on a spinach salad and no pita. This was before any sort of Breakfast/Lunch rush. Mistakes do happen, but I'm disappointed nonetheless as this was my first experience here and with the Shawarma. Your run of the mill deli is going to give you a better sandwich at half the cost. I got a special which was a fried dumpling with braised beef. I didnt realize they were going to be greasy deep fried empanada things with a little dot of tasteless beef mush inside. The sauces weren't good and made no sense.
