Pretty loud and lively here, but the servers were very quiet to get people food over just serving drinks at bar. The slider flight was very good for what it it was worth, first the slider were on the larger side not bite size, all the meats, the pork, chicken and brisket were juicy and well seasoned and generous with the portion. I asked for teller fries over the regular that come with the flight since seasoned fries rocks, the fries were good but I wish they more crispier. Bit disappointing they supposedly come with a cup a teller sauce and when I pointed out they forget my sauce that comes with it, I was charged for it. Kind of the principle that with if something forgotten is free, just give it no charge. The teller sauce was very good, I used it in sliders as well as the fries. The cornbread was kind of dry, but that honey butter made up for it.

One and done! We should have checked the reviews first but-nostalgia got the best of me when I saw they were called the Piggy Bank again. This place is the epitome couldn't care less! Chicken sandwich on a stale cold sweet potato bun and undrained fries. The cheese steak was a joke dry and didn't taste anything like beef, stale bread fries tasted sour from used oil. Never going back again. And don't get me started on the unisex bathroom that smells like a cat box with super low lights so you can't see (only smell) how dirty it is.

My family and I recently visited The Piggy Bank during one of our trips to Beacon--we try to explore a different restaurant each time we're in town. This spot seemed fairly new, so we decided to give it a try. The service was excellent. We were greeted and seated right away, and the staff was attentive throughout. We chose to sit outside, and menus were brought to us immediately. Our food came out quickly, which we appreciated. Portions were very generous--so much so that we couldn't finish everything. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the service. My kids had the chicken finger platter, my wife ordered the pulled pork, and I went with the smoked brisket. The fried chicken was the highlight--crispy and flavorful--but everything else was disappointing. The cornbread was hard as a brick, the fries were overly salty, and the brisket lacked flavor. We really wanted to like this place, but overall, the food just fell short.

We stopped by PiggyBank during a weekend getaway because we could smell the BBQ from a distance -- it immediately drew us in. The place was very busy, and it felt a bit understaffed. We sat for a while before anyone came over, and we didn't even get water at first, though to be fair, the staff were clearly swamped. The restaurant itself is pretty unique -- it used to be an old bank, and they kept the original vault, which is now used to store liquor. It's a fun and memorable feature. For food, we ordered a burger and a Pulled Pork Sandwich. The pulled pork tasted good, though it was a bit too salty. Surprisingly, the best part of both sandwiches was the bread -- soft, flavorful, and honestly better than the protein inside. The burger bun had a slight orange tint, which I think might come from local pumpkin, but either way, it was excellent. The fries were average, and the onion rings were just okay -- nothing special. Despite the long wait, it was fine for a quick bite. One funny (or slightly annoying) thing: there were lots of bees flying around the outdoor seating area, often near our table. Not dangerous, but definitely a little distracting. Overall: * The bread was the highlight. * Pulled pork and burger were tasty, though a bit salty. * Fries and onion rings were average. * Unique setting with the old vault. * Busy spot, slightly understaffed, but still worth a visit.

The Piggy Bank was just okay overall. The burger and fries were fine but nothing memorable. The mac and cheese had a sharper flavor than I prefer, so it wasn't quite to my taste. Service was also just okay -- not bad, but not especially attentive or warm either.

Great food, amazing cocktails, and a welcoming staff. A dog-friendly patio and beautiful dining room featuring an old bank vault with an elegant bar. We loved the house nachos and mozzarella sticks. We got the wing with the Alabama White sauce, which was delicious and unique flavor profile. Shout out to Tim for being an all-star waiter. He reflected the fun and friendly vibe of the Piggy Bank. We look forward to coming back to sample more of the menu.

Paper thin chicken

I got scared off by the pics and complaints about the BBQ in the reviews, so thought I'd go for the Chx sandwich instead. Big mistake. The "chicken" was non existent. For a second I genuinely thought I'd accidentally ordered a veg substitute because I couldn't find it. The sandwich was 90% burnt breading, and that is not an exaggeration. Charging $18 for an actual sliver of chicken is insane. It was impossible to bite into because what little chicken there was had turned into jerky. I was hungry, so I ate as much as I could stomach, but more than half of than sandwich got tossed.

The Piggy Bank has potential but unfortunately the entire dining experience was lacking. On the upside: the setting is very nice on Main Street in Beacon. It's a good place for drinks at the bar. And it's a clean and welcoming restaurant. The waiter was excellent. (I give him 5-stars.) Also, the New Orleanian inspired fare might be tasty. The Po' boys looked pretty good. But don't go here for BBQ. The dry rub chicken wings were dried out and overcooked. (Probably the worst wings I've had in a long time.) The pork ribs were rubbery, and while cooked to food safety standards (USDA 145°), they were taken off the pit too soon. Therefore, they were very tough and unappetizing. (Gotta break down that connective tissue guys.) Worst of all, the small portion of overcooked, dry brisket was the biggest disappointment. For $15, you receive two slices of their poorly prepared beef brisket. It was pretty bleak. I sampled only two sides: the mac 'n cheese and the mashed potatoes. They were "okay" but not particularly noteworthy. In general, the whole dining experience was regrettable (and expensive). I think this is a relatively new restaurant (a reboot under new ownership). Perhaps they are still working out the kinks but the quality and presentation of their BBQ meats needs big improvements.

We were so upset when the hog shut down, but so happy knowing the cook from there has shifted over to this spot. We can still get our juicy crispy fried chicken and theres a few more options and now desserts and cocktails too. The inside and outside is super cute, right now the menus a bit limited but what we had was great. Definitely would get the mozz againz they were biggee than corn dogs. And the burger had a great taste too.

Chef Adam (formerly of The Hog in Wappinger Falls) is now the executive chef here, and what a menu he has developed! From the appetizers to the main courses to the desserts, everything is authentic, fresh, and delicious. The wings are some of the best we've had anywhere, and the brisket was perfectly cooked and moist. Don't sleep on the Mac and cheese either! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were extraordinary, a great assortment of specialty cocktails, and all the regular liquors, with a lot of craft beers on tap and in the bottle.

That was the full meal mozzarella app and brisket with two sides.

Brisket is really good. Unfortunately the macaroni and cheese and the corn bread was not up to part. Will not have this place again.

I wanted to have the Grilled Cheese with Brisket, but the brisket wasn't ready when I visited. The sandwich tasted good, but the cheese to pulled pork was off. There were only 5 different food stalls plus the ice cream stall in the very front, however only 3 of the food stalls were open at 7pm on a Saturday. This is a small town, so I get it, but I was thoroughly surprised at this because of how crowded the entire town had been all weekend (it was truly the perfect weather to be out here!). The taco food stall had some Mac and cheese that I really wanted, but he was so overwhelmed with making a large order with only one person helping him that he literally told me to come back in 30 minutes to place my order. I ended up ordering the Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich from the burger place, where the guy (working solo) told me it would take about 30 minutes before it would be ready. We were in no rush, and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait!! The ooey gooey cheese paired with perfectly browned Texas toast satisfied my hunger after a long day of hiking and window shopping. My husband ordered the Paneer Kati Roll + Mango Lassi from the Indian food stall. He liked the roll, however we both decided that the lassi was average at best. Additionally, they served it with ice which was a huge disappointment (**being that my husband is from India, we have standards regarding Indian food). I'm giving 4 stars because the overall atmosphere of this food hall was not the best... Definitely NOT enough seating... They didn't seem to have anyone on staff taking care of the place, so the two tables that were empty when we arrived were extremely dirty (we cleaned one ourselves). They also didn't have napkins readily available and only 2 individual restrooms, despite having a bar in the back. Also, it was SO DARK inside... Scarce lighting which was not very pleasant or welcoming, especially since the sun was shining brightly outside. There is an outdoor patio, which is great, however because the weather was nice it was completely full. Final thoughts: this is a great place to grab lunch or dinner with a group of friends, especially if no one can agree on where to go. There's a variety of options and something for everyone to enjoy!

It may sound cheesy but it describes exactly the atmosphere of this place, a good time full of friendly people. It's a 2 two story building with plenty of seating. I have been here many a time where the upstairs is rented out for a private event. They also have two outside decks full of tables and chairs which is perfect to sit at when the weather is nice. And trust me when the weather is nice this place is packed!!!! The food here is delicious. In the warmer months they have a pizza food truck that comes. The pizza is sooo good my favorite is one they sell that has a white sauce on it instead of marinara it is delicious. The brewery itself makes small bites and has a few sandwiches that come with a bag of potato chips. They are also good. Last time we came our friends got the meatball sub and it was huge!!! They said it was amazing. They have a great selection of beers including IPAs, Stouts, Sours, and Ciders. I will say this brewery is what kindled my love for Sour beers. They have one that tastes like a red Starburst, so yummy! They also have non alcoholic beer and spirits on their menu. The staff is also friendly. I have seen them frazzled a time or two when it's really busy which is understandable. All in all it's good service both bar tenders and other staff that is working hard cleaning up tables ams sweeping to make sure the tables are ready for the next round of people. Also to note this is not table service. You go to the bar and order your food and either pay there or open a tab. They then bring out your food to you. You can also get beers to take home and other merchandise such as shirts, jackets, and some packaged food items. It very family friendly! Every time I come I see tons of families here, which is nice. What makes this establishment so memorable and so sought after? Let me count thy ways. Hudson Valley awaits at the end of Beacon's Main Street, a fitting finale to a day spent ducking in and out of shops. Its wide open spaces and available sitting is a welcome sight for sore feet. Its diverse array of drinks, from wines to beers to sours, will quench any type of thirst. My drink of choice are their sours, and as someone who previously did not like these kinds of drinks, I was thoroughly converted. Perfect for people who don't like beers, their sours are berry-forward with a tartness that cuts through the sweet flavors. It's so good, I even lugged a six-pack home all the way to the train and back to the city! You simply cannot visit Hudson Valley Brewery without trying their pizza. It's one of my favorites. Cooked in an outdoor brick oven, their pizzas are charred to perfection; their crust thin yet provides a satisfying substantial bite; and their pie topped with ooey gooey cheese. Although I don't doubt that anything you order will be delicious, I have tried their sausage and pepper pizza, as well as their margherita, and can attest to how delicious they are.
