This place is a hidden gem. It's a small place with about four tables and some wares to buy. We went for breakfast and got the Turkish breakfast for two. It's clearly family run and the woman who served us was so lovely. The food was incredibly fresh. It was so tasty. We came out very satisfied. The Turkish breakfast is essentially a smorgasbord of various foods. There's cheese there's nuts there's dried fruit. There's fresh fruit. There's cucumber and tomato salad, there's sausage, there's olives, there's bread, there's butter with honey, tahini with molasses, jam, and there's eggs. We got the eggs in the traditional style, which is mixed with peppers and tomatoes. And it was absolutely delicious. Overall, loved this place and would absolutely come back. read more

Visited Beacon for an upstate trip and came across this lovely little Turkish family restaurant! It's super cozy and everything feels so fresh and homemade. My friends and I got the kofta platter and Turkish breakfast with the menemen, which was this interesting tomato and egg dish that was very soft and mildly sweet. The kofta beef meatballs were nice and savory, perfectly paired with the rice and salad. The Turkish breakfast is primarily a lot of cheeses with sauces and small bites with a bread basket - would only recommend if you like different kinds of cheeses and since it is very light on its own it would prob be best to order something in addition to it. My friends and I also tried the salep tea which was this traditional Turkish drink that is very thick and creamy, has a very unique texture with a sweet flavor and cinnamon garnish. read more

They were speaking with the owners, and it wasn't in English! The Turkish Breakfast is very large, I couldn't imagine anyone finishing it. There's eggs, cheeses, breads, a wide assortment of spreads, and coffee. The restaurant isn't very large. A few tables and a bench along one wall. The tables are cleared quickly after each customer; however no one is rushed. The serving dishes are works of art. The coffee is served in, I think, traditional style. The coffee cup is in a zarf. No burned fingers. A small piece of Turkish delight as a counter point to the strong coffee, Weekends are busy. We'll be back on a weekday, hungry, to try the Turkish Breakfast. read more

This is a very small restaurant right on Main Street. We went there for breakfast as it has the highest Yep rating of such restaurants nearby. The feature breakfast is a Turkish Breakfast which was amazing. I was going to just order an omelette. But the owner and proprietor talked me into trying the Turkish breakfast That was an awesome recommendation. I has something like 10 items including eggs, fruit, bread, olives, beef sausage, cheese, amazing jam, Turkish tea, and a liquid treat which tastes like a liquid Jewish halvah. Had a terrible experience getting lunch here because the woman who served us had such a rude attitude towards us. Every question, request, and order was met with rolling eyes, heavy sighs, and visible frustration. We treated her with the utmost politeness and kindness but we were treated as though we were causing her a huge inconvenience. I saw another review here about racist behavior towards poc and I can't help but wonder if that is the case since my family was made up mostly of poc. Unbelievable. No hype in simply summarizing the restaurant as a terrific experience. There are no reservations, so you would be wise to have someone willing to wait out an opening while the rest of your group visit the nice local shops. The Turkish spices and skillfully prepared dishes, as well as the beautiful Turkish plates, bowls, teapots and cloths made for a unique and memorable experience. The owner is a gem of a human being. My daughter and I ordered the Turkish Breakfast, halloumi cheese sandwich and Turkish Tea. I was so surprised by the amount of food we received for the breakfast..l.so many small delicious dishes. The halloumi was a delight, like a panini with olive tapenade. Absolutely wonderful! I lived the Turkish tea, which had a whiff of sweetness and was served in a pot over a warming flame. This place is a GEM! The food was superb. I had never had traditional Turkish food but I love going to Beacon, we were looking for something new and I saw good reviews so it was a no brainer. I was with some friends and they were all pretty impressed and complimented me for choosing this place. We tried the breakfast for 2 and another dish that I feel sad I do not remember but it was eggs in some sauce and my friend basically absorbed it - that good. The whole spread was delicious and oh so worth the price! You can choose how you want your eggs, but we decided to follow the owners recommendation and although I am a picky eater with tomatoes on my eggs it was just flavorful. The portions, the presentation, the bread, the cheese, the tea... everything was 10/10. The place is small and cozy, groups could feel too close to each other so it's up to you. We chose a corner table so we felt comfortable. They also have bread to go, and items for sale. The service was excellent. Very much a homey vibe and family style. read more

We've been here for breakfast several times now. The traditional Ottoman breakfast is a leisurely ramble through many small plates (breakfast mezes I guess) and Nilüfer does it so well! 26 Oct 2034: after visiting Dia Beacon. The restroom is gender neutral and have a colorful seat. It seems that everyone orders the Turkish breakfast so we ordered the one for two persons. Water with lemon is on the top of the dessert counter and you just help yourself as their business is incredibly good and it is runny three ladies. We waited about 10 minutes to get a table which we had to share. When you are done just pay at the counter. There were over 15 items in the Turkish breakfast, probably more because I lost count! read more
