Unbelievable. No hype in simply summarizing the restaurant as a terrific experience. There are no reservations, so you would be wise to have someone willing to wait out an opening while the rest of your group visit the nice local shops. The Turkish spices and skillfully prepared dishes, as well as the beautiful Turkish plates, bowls, teapots and cloths made for a unique and memorable experience. The owner is a gem of a human being. We loved her immediately and it appeared that the baby in our group immediately adopted her into our family. Lovely. Highly recommended.

The food was really good and the service was fairly quick, making for a pleasant dining experience. I also tried the Turkish coffee -- it was just as expected, rich and strong. Overall, a satisfying meal and worth a visit!

This was a delightful surprise! Seriously spectacular ambiance. Incredible food! Just authentic, homemade, warm and tasty. I would come every day if we didn't live in Denver. We had the Turkish coffee, sahlep, kafta platters, and the chicken sandwich. Great service. Go enjoy and be transported to your Turkish family's kitchen!

Great food, amazing service, and nice vibes. My Turkish boyfriend could only say "tastes like home" after every dish. I highly recommend the Turkish breakfast for two.

Five stars due to the delicious food and excellent service. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with artifacts from the homeland. My daughter and I ordered the Turkish Breakfast, halloumi cheese sandwich and Turkish Tea. I was so surprised by the amount of food we received for the breakfast..l.so many small delicious dishes. The halloumi was a delight, like a panini with olive tapenade. Absolutely wonderful! I lived the Turkish tea, which had a whiff of sweetness and was served in a pot over a warming flame. Words can't do this justice. You must go and try it for yourself.

Very lovely little Turkish place. Got a couple pastries and they were all delicious. Very friendly staff and such a cute vibe. The almond cookie was delicious!

This place is a GEM! The food was superb. I had never had traditional Turkish food but I love going to Beacon, we were looking for something new and I saw good reviews so it was a no brainer. I was with some friends and they were all pretty impressed and complimented me for choosing this place. We tried the breakfast for 2 and another dish that I feel sad I do not remember but it was eggs in some sauce and my friend basically absorbed it - that good. The whole spread was delicious and oh so worth the price! You can choose how you want your eggs, but we decided to follow the owners recommendation and although I am a picky eater with tomatoes on my eggs it was just flavorful. The portions, the presentation, the bread, the cheese, the tea... everything was 10/10. The place is small and cozy, groups could feel too close to each other so it's up to you. We chose a corner table so we felt comfortable. They also have bread to go, and items for sale. The service was excellent. Very much a homey vibe and family style.

I felt right at home here. Everything made with so much care. Every dish/ingredient and smile was authentic. I loved the chef and all the turkish staples she produces in her kitchen. Even better that it is sll done in front of you! Cant wait to come back

Wonderful! Worth the extra $ as everything is made from the heart. Turkish breakfast for 2 is perfect. Add the turkish tea as well.

The indoor space struck the perfect balance, warm, intimate, and private, but never stuffy or overly formal. You could relax and actually enjoy the people around you. The food was a highlight! beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. And the staff was genuinely attentive without ever hovering. Everything flowed effortlessly from start to finish, which let all of us simply be present for the moment that mattered. What stood out most was how personal it all felt. This wasn't a place going through the motions, you could feel the thought behind every detail, from the setup to the warm hospitality. If you're looking for a cozy, welcoming spot to host a gathering, I can't recommend this cafe enough. Beautiful food, and a team that treats your special day like it matters to them too. Its English name comes from a Greek legend: Zeus had an affair with a beautiful woman named Io. When Hera, his wife, discovered his infidelity, she turned Io into a cow and created a horsefly to sting her on the rump. Io jumped clear across the strait. Thus, "bous" = "cow" and "poros" = "crossing place": Bosphorus = "crossing place of the cow." Located off of busy Franklin Avenue in Nutley, my partner, our friends, and I have decided on our dinner at this family-owned-and-run BYOB establishment, which has been open since 1995. A reservation was made for a party of 4 by calling their restaurant. Upon arrival after three years, we were welcomed by Nora, the owner, and made our way to a table by the piano inside, evoking a cozy, thoughtfully designed, upscale vibe with music playing softly. Their menu features Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. For starters, we decided on the Puffed Rill Pastry and Grape Leaves. Our main meal consisted of all lamb dishes (Lamb Shish Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Lamb Sauté). Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a beautifully presented dish. Everything was authentically made with love here. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, as they looked amazing, but some of us were in a rush. It's definitely on the higher end cost but worth the taste. Our visit ended with a hug and a piece of candy.
