Just went here for the first time with my 13-year-old twin boys. I did not expect it to be so small (only seats about 16 people), but it is so cute! Especially love the little touches of decor like the striped cloth napkins and the spotless on theme bathroom (very important feature for a restaurant). They are only open for breakfast and lunch I believe, but they do it very well! The waitress was very friendly and professional. Prices are a bit steep, but prices everywhere are pretty expensive these days so it was pretty typical. And once we tasted the food we thought it was well worth it. We shared the fish & chips, a leek and potato soup and scones with jam and clotted cream. The fish and chips were hot and fresh and the perfect crispness! We also enjoyed the mushy peas on the side. The soup was a good portion and so delicious. I loved the kind of fried cheese they had in the middle. My only disappointment was the size of the scones (I wish they had been a bit bigger and less crumbly) but the flavor was not disappointing at all. Also ordered a Cornish Pasty to go for my other half, but I didn't taste it so I can't give it a review. Two ladies next to us had the Afternoon Tea option and it looked amazing! May have to go back to try that sometime. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to this very charming spot! A small gem that values freshness and quality and very nice service. I only wish we lived closer! We'd definitely be here more often for the scones and pots of tea! A true find! read more

We made a reservation for Moreish during our fall day trip to Beacon, and it definitely did not disappoint! I studied abroad in London a few years ago, and this definitely satisfied my craving for a full English breakfast! The sausage was super juicy and the hash brown was also a flavored well and had a more unique texture than a traditional hash brown. I also appreciate that they have a vegetarian full English as well :) We also ordered the scones w/ clotted cream and jam which were super delicious! We were stuffed to the brim after. I think we could've ordered 2 full English breakfasts and 1 order of scones instead for 3 people and have been full. Definitely want to come back and try their afternoon tea or Sunday roast! I recommend making a reservation because most people were turned away when they tried to walk in. read more

Cute and cozy breakfast spot. The full English was hearty and filling, and the scones were nice and fluffy, albeit a bit crumbly.

what a delightful little place! I've been wanting to come to moreish for a while and I was so happy to snag a reservation! what makes this place so special is how fresh everything is. Yes, it might take a bit for it to come out, but it's worth the wait for the quality and care. The staff was so kind and the ambience of moreish is so clean, welcoming and cozy! I am dying to come back to beacon to try their English breakfast! read more

My friend and I just left Moreish after having afternoon tea, we were very impressed with the customer service and the quality of the food everything was freshly made and delicious. Since I dont eat meat, didn't want the chicken salad sandwich, they replaced it without any hesitation. The place was so nice and calm even though for a Thursday afternoon they were busy. I will tell others and will be going back there soon. Thank you so much for your service!. read more

When I visited London 9 years ago, I missed out on having an authentic English breakfast...just ate at our Marriott hotel. So I was happy and surprised that this type of food was available in 'lil ole Beacon, NY, where I was visiting family. It was very good, and I imagine, very authentic. First off, it's located in the food hall with other vendors, so I don't think they have a huge kitchen or a particularly British ambiance, but the meals were great and service excellent. Two in our party shared the Full English Breakfast; they loved the black pudding and everything else on the plate. I tried the baked beans, and they were delish. I shared the Steak & Guinness Pie and loved it. The crust was to die for, the steak tender, and mash with gravy was yummy comfort food. Someone else had the sausage roll and raved about it. We didn't have room for any of the sweets, but I'm ready for you, London, the next time I visit! read more

This salad with the accompaniment of a hunk of cheese, apples, a pickle and onion relish, salted artisan butter and a lovely crusted french bread was absolutely delectable! I passed this restaurant a time before and knew if I was back I would stop in for a quiet bite by myself. A day date -me, myself and I. Boy! I AM SO OVERJOYED that I did! The wait staff was very kind. It's a Beautiful place to sit, read, scroll or even journal. I cannot wait to stop by again! Thank you! read more

I was recently visiting Beacon for the day with two close friends, and we had an incredible lunch at Moreish. I had looked into the place before we arrived and had tried to make a reservation, but they didn't have much availability online. We put our name in once we arrived and were luckily able to be seated about 40 minutes later. I had hoped to experience their breakfast menu, but they switch over to the lunch menu at noon. Nonetheless, we were all happy with the food, wine, and excellent service. My one friend and I had the fish and chips, which in retrospect, we wished we had shared since it was massive. Both the fish and the chips were perfectly fried and so tasty. Our other friend got the Ploughman's Lunch, which was also substantial but came with a salad, which made it lighter and more manageable. It's such a cute and charming restaurant and you can see how much care they take in preparing their food. I hope to return someday soon. read more

We came here for afternoon tea (by reservation only!) and really enjoyed the ambiance of the spot. It felt very casual but elegant at the same time, and was a quiet oasis from the busy main drag in Beacon. The hostess/server was very friendly and accommodating. Three of us enjoyed afternoon tea, while one ordered fish and chips. Everything tasted great and the fish & chips portion was very generous. read more

I stopped in here to grab a bite during the beacon food crawl. The Eton mess, which was fabulous raspberry dessert with whipped cream was amazing! British food at its finest! A newly opened restaurant serving comfort food from across the pond. I can say that the food tasted as good as that which I ate in London. I will return for the pie of the day! We were served by a friendly bloke named Michael with a charming British accent. The restaurant is contained within the Hudson Valley Food Hall which has many places to eat. The noise level is moderate and there is street parking. read more

The best scones id venture to say outside of England... especially when paired with the clotted cream. They are overpriced in my opinion but we've been back twice for them. Oh and the cinnamon tea is superb read more

Fantastic! It's only been open for a few months, so don't get spooked by the low amount of reviews The English breakfast and the vegetarian English breakfast were great! The place is very minimalist and chic- it's not at all like a cozy London pub. Highly recommend reservations- only a few tables here and people were getting turned away left and right. read more

We had a great breakfast experience at Moreish. The restaurant is tastefully decorated (the bathroom was my favorite!) Warm and inviting, the environment allowed us to slow down and enjoy the delicious food and tea. Here's what we had: 1. scones and clotted cream with jam (5/5) a delicious blend of sweet and savory and great way to start the meal. 2. Vegan English Breakfast (5/5). In one word- LOVE. There was a lot of attention paid to the tofu scramble. The taste of the olive oil really came through in all the right ways. Grilled mushroom and tomato, layers of flavors. Baked beans do not disappoint. Husband had smoked salmon which I didn't try but looking at his empty plate, I'd say another (5/5). A great experience on all levels. Will be back for sure. read more

Great place. I'd been meaning to check Moreish out for a while, specifically for breakfast, but since we came to Beacon on the weekend a little later, lunch had to suffice. I had the ploughman's lunch, while my wife had the mushroom and tofu dish. Nicely sized portions, attractively presented, all of it flavorful. I also ordered a coffee, which was robust and not watery or bitter at all. Slightly disappointed that there appeared to be no menu for alcoholic drinks, as I'm sure my dish would've paired very nicely with a proper English ale. Pleasantly surprised that a high-chair was available for our five-month-old to sit in, since I would've otherwise presumed that this sort of place might discourage the presence of babies or young children. Timely service, as well. I hope to be back sometime early next year for breakfast. read more

When you know you are waking up in the morning and are going to have a full English breakfast without getting on a plane. Expectations!!!That's what happened to us today!!! We decided to take our Grandson to Moreish today for a true English Breakfast with all the fixings. I was most excited to try the black pudding, as I have had it both in England and Scotland numerous times and it is a luxury I have missed since before covid. Let me tell you, Chef Michael does not disappoint. I am a person who lives in the hill area Mt. Beacon, and I just don't want to go into town and deal with the tourists. I don't - I really don't. I am old and I am cranky, and I like my quiet and clearly do not want to fight for parking. Which is why, this Wednesday we decided to venture into town. First, perfection does not take 5 minutes. Be patient and know when the food arrives, it will be fresh. The yolk of the egg will be a beautiful bright orange and creamy. On my plate was the prettiest mushroom topped with a tomato. Of course, baked beans (Heinz - as the menu states) - Grilled British (yes imported) sausage, smoked back bacon, now this isn't the thin strips of Bacon, we poor American's are used to, this is real thick gorgeous bacon, as it should be. The hash browns were so good. And now onto my coveted black pudding. I was very lucky, that my wife does not care for black pudding in the slightest, it meant I got hers. What wasn't so great, our grandson LOVED it and he was able to eat one of hers. But that did leave me with 3 for myself and again... Totally worth the wait and we will be back. The only thing I predict... People will get word of this breakfast feast and will crowd in, and I will miss my good morning, Wednesday without crowds' breakfast. I do believe they will outgrow their cute little spot they are in now at the food court. I imagine a true breakfast and lunch spot for them. Thank you again and again Michael. PERFECTION! Next time, we are having those gorgeous sausage rolls for lunch! Julie, Deb, and their very happy Grandson! read more

I've been eyeing this place since I heard it was opening in the Hudson Valley Food Hall. I'm so happy we stopped in this morning to taste the Full English. Everything was delicious and just what I've been craving. Clearly everything was made with intention as we walked up and the scones were being rolled out and prepared to be baked - made fresh each day. Out service was friendly and fantastic and while the food hall is not the coziest environment- it offers a variety of options for everyone. One note - full English breakfast is served before noon but the rest of the menu is not available until after 12pm - so we will definitely be back to try more! read more
