The dark chocolate ice cream has my heart! Vegan and gluten free options available as well. Their concept is shcoops for all: anyone and everyone should be able to have ice cream! So they've made nut free, celiac safe, gf, v and even pup cups! With their pull up window, it's so easy to order, especially if you have a dog! This place is a sweet tooth craving pacifier inside the Hudson Food Hall on Main St. They have ice cream, sundaes , ice cream sandwiches waffles and shakes. I sampled a couple of flavors Mango and Strawberry and my pick was Strawberry followed by Mango , as it was more sweeter compared to the Mango which was a bit more tangy . We also tried a few other flavors like chocolate with sprinkles and Honey comb . Honey comb turned out being the most popular among our group. Their single scoops are small but you can get a large triple scoop too. They have an ATM inside the Food Hall for those who need it. Cute cozy dessert joint ! read more

Unlike some of the other shops in town, Shmuck's is very fresh (never freezer burnt tasting) and also has gluten free and vegan options. Schmucks is a hidden gem in beacon (not so hidden if you know where to go). Founded by three young entrepreneurs, they use locally sourced ingredients to create an amazing ice cream! So many different flavors and welcoming and great staff. Try a sample. As an ice cream connoisseur this is the best in town! This place has amazing homemade ice cream, it is so good that it: melts in your mouth and your hand! We met one of the owners, Kellen, and he was super nice too. Great story behind the founding. We got into talking about restaurant management as I do restaurant technology and data consulting, Layer C Technology. Their homemade waffle cone machine was on the fritz the first night we were in town, so we settled for chocolate and raspberry chip in normal cones and the ice cream was delicious. Wanting to try out their homemade waffle cones, my wife and I returned the second night in a row. The machine was working! We had a waffle cone with 2 scoops, honeycomb ice cream + peach sorbet. It was out of this world. The honeycomb packed a nice lil punch and the peach flavoring was delightful. Combined, in one cone, they were super great as well. Nicely done on the branding and flavor design and taste. Will definitely return every time we are in Beacon. read more

I usually don't write reviews about where I go to eat but I feel like I have to because this was just absolutely unacceptable. yesterday me and my cousin visit Beacon every so often and on this trip we decided to get some icecream while walking down mainstreet. The first thing we realized while walking into Shmucks was the smell, it honestly smelled like rotten milk and there was a mess all behind the counter. There were a line of ants on the counter and not to mention the hair in my icecream sandwich. There was a girl working there and she was extremely rude preaching about how all lives matter when over-hearing a conversation my cousin and I were having. That caught me so off guard since I'm an african American female and this little white girl was trying to argue with me over MY rights when she wasn't at all in the conversation and then when I asked for her manager she stated that she was the manager which is very hard to believe seeing how young she looked but if she is shame on her. The whole experience was terrible and I will NOT be back. read more
