(I screamed for ice cream, if you will ;) I ordered the mango sorbet on a sugar cone, however the girl scooping my ice cream recommended that I switch to a waffle cone as it would hold the sorbet better. She was definitely right about that! The sorbet was refreshing and exactly what I needed to hear the Sunday afternoon heat. They have literally one table with 2 chairs inside, and thankfully it was empty when we arrived as I had no plans of eating my ice cream outside. If you arrive during a busy time, you can enjoy your ice cream on the bench outside the front door or up in their patio area located to the left of the building. However the "patio" area is NOT shaded, so be prepared for your ice cream to melt quickly if you're outside on a hot day. Thanks for helping me beat the heat, y'all!

The dark chocolate ice cream has my heart! Vegan and gluten free options available as well. Their concept is shcoops for all: anyone and everyone should be able to have ice cream! So they've made nut free, celiac safe, gf, v and even pup cups! With their pull up window, it's so easy to order, especially if you have a dog! Everything we've tried has been amazing! Our favorites are the Warm Brownie Sundae, Banana Split, Strawberry Fields Sundae, and the incredibly creative specialty milkshakes. Their homemade crepes are delicious too, especially if you're sharing dessert. And if you're 21+, you have to try their boozy ice cream creations and frozen cocktails--they're such a fun and unique treat you won't find just anywhere. The portions are generous, everything is beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is always lively and welcoming. We love grabbing our desserts and walking along the Hudson River afterward--it's become one of our favorite family traditions. The only downside? They close during the winter! Every year we can't wait for them to reopen because they're truly one of our favorite dessert spots in the Hudson Valley. If you're looking for a unique place to satisfy your sweet tooth in Newburgh, Midnight Ferry is an absolute must-visit. Every visit feels like a little celebration, and we always leave happy--and already planning what we'll order next!

My party entered on a whim browsing to explore Beacon City for tourism of the Hudson Valley region in Dutchess County, NYS. Pies can be purchased either by the slice or whole pie. There are many flavors for choice selection. Whole pies are available in 6 inch and 9 inch sizes. I did not see any mini 4 inches in diameter pies. I personally adore 4 inch in diameter pie sizes for the cuteness and it is just the right amount of dessert post-meal or in-between snack prior to dinner without filling your stomach and without emptying your wallet. One person purchased one pie and I decided on my favorite pastry, the classic chocolate chip cookie. My chocolate chip cookie was good and shaped convex bulging outward in a slight raised dome shape. It was not flat. It was not overpowering sweet. It was not moist either. It was not chewy either as I hoped. I am grateful this classic chocolate chip cookie does NOT contain nuts (I despise nuts, but I am not allergic to nuts as it is not my cup of tea). Business cards are available for grabs.
