Trendy and past candy
Darren G.

A cozy small candy/ice cream shop, with rare candy, is how I describe this place. I do enjoy when places branch out to have rare candy not found anywhere but the internet, plus have their own brand of sweet delights. Got a few treats here, to go since it was not crowded when I was here. Honestly the stuff I got was incredible and I will definitely have try here again to try the ice cream and more of chocolate selection.

A small chocolate shop in Beacon . Great selection of chocolate treats. If you love chocolate, you'll love this place.

This place is a true gem! Every treat I have tried is amazing, and you can't tell what is vegan or gluten free! Absolutely love the selection available, and appreciate the delivery during this trying time. My absolute favorite is a tie between the strawberry thumb print cookies and the mini chocolate donuts (so hard to choose between sprinkles or orange peel on top). The thumbrprint cookie is a generous size (I split it with someone) and so delicious. The cookie itself isn't dry at all, and has little bits of almond in it. It is full of flavor while still having the perfect texture. I appreciate that while I purchased a few of these cookies they do come individually wrapped so perfect for sharing (if you aren't keeping them to yourself - I'm not here to judge at all!)

Pumpkin fudge and chocolate bacon

Pumpkin fudge what!!!! They have it here, and it is awesome; you get a huge chunk for under $4. I think they are most known for their chocolate covered bacon strips, but what ever you are into, I'm sure they have something here for you. Also, the counter person was a sweetheart and really on top of her game. Definitely stop in here if you find yourself in Beacon NY.

Stuff to the side

Stumbled upon this shop after having a late lunch in the area. No one inside so plenty of seating to go around and one lady working behind the counter (making some chocolates as we were debating what to order). Lots of enticing options behind the glass case, but settled on the classic brownie ($2.50). She asked if we wanted it warmed up (wasn't going to turn that down); so a nice hot chocolatey treat. Rich and packed with a lot of sweetness. Probably should have gotten a glass of milk to counteract it. Quaint decor and artwork for sale on the walls. Definitely would like to try some of their other items next time.

Candy making!

Love this place! Delicious gourmet Belgian chocolate, great pastries and nice people! I had my daughter's birthday and it was the nicest birthday she has ever had outside our home. The kids were engaged and interested throughout and made several chocolate treats to take home. Price was every reasonable and they provide everything. I had heard that other parties did not go as well but it honestly depends on how well Your kids can behave - there's a lot of candy around and the nature of dipping chocolate means they have to be capable of following the rules! I and my friends recommend it HIGHLY!

Ice cream was ok. I felt like we were racially profiled. Customer service was not that great.

Friendly staff, but I thought the sweets too sweet and lacking sufficient "yummy" flavor; wished it was a lil' bit more memorable.

They are crazy popular, so there was already a line outside when we arrive 5 minutes before opening on a sunny summer Sunday morning. Wow! That's always a good sign. We waited in line for about 25 minutes total, which wasn't terrible. They have sooo many choices, and we ended up choosing the Strawberry Crumb Cake and the Old Fashioned Chocolate Crumb. The Strawberry one was fluffy and had a jam filling, which was deliciously fruity. The chocolate one was absolutely incredible!! It was a classic "cake donut", meaning that it was super dense in texture. It reminded me of a brownie, however not too overwhelming chocolatey. Even though they say they're open until 3pm, they are clear about being open "until sold out". I asked the guy behind the counter and he said that they will often sell out by 1-2pm in the summer. By 12pm they typically have very limited options left. He also mentioned that the line will often start forming around 9am, a full hour before the place opens. I find that to be a bit extreme... There's very little seating inside (just two small tables), so I highly recommend that you take your donuts to go. If it's a nice day out, walk around the corner and grab a seat at a picnic table! Lastly, they have a huge "WARNING: FOOD ALLERGY" sign on their door that I highly recommend you read if you have any type of food allergies. I like that they're up front about it and suggest you not consume their donuts if you have specific types of allergies. If you're in town visiting, it's definitely worth giving this place a try!

Looking for the perfect marshmallow for the hot chocolate board I was preparing, HVMC definitely came in clutch. They have a variety of graham crackers and drink mixes and, of course, marshmallows. They do have a selection of drinks to choose from in store as well. My friend opted for a hot chocolate and truthfully, she wasn't impressed. But she did help me narrow down my marshmallow choices and I ended up walking away with a salted caramel variety. Even if caramel isn't my favorite sweet, these marshmallows were excellent. Plush and tender, with a not to overwhelming caramel taste to them. My entire party devoured them over their cups of hot cocoa. Honestly, well worth the price imo. And considering the variety, I look forward to trying their other creations!

I had an iced chocolate beverage and two S'mores from a couple of S'mores flights that my family shared. The S'mores were well constructed and looked good. I had one with a French Toast vibe and one with chocolate graham crackers and strawberry and vanilla marshmallows. Both were good. The store was very nice. Service was OK. Nothing bad, but the one person out front lacked the enthusiasm and engagement that would take your experience in a specialty store like this to the next level. 4.25 Stars

It's counter service and there was already a bit of a line when we arrived around 7:15am (why were so many people already up and about?! lol). We loved that they had a great variety of options, including many vegetarian options. I went with the egg & cheese sandwich and accidentally ordered it without the greens & sauce (whoops!). However, it was still delicious and satisfying. My husband got the avocado toast which was SUPER filling due to the hummus that was on it. He was only able to finish half of it. We also got a side order of fruit which, to my delight, was a bowl of berries! The fruit is seasonal so the combination might be different depending on what time of year you are visiting. Also, both of our coffees met our standards, which are a bit high these days. So kudos to them on that! The ambiance was absolutely incredible!!! Very well lit with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. We sat near the back of the restaurant (away from all windows), however we still felt like we were being flooded with sunlight. It was wonderful! Definitely recommend coming here to grab breakfast while visiting Beacon!

I also got their pumpkin spice latte. My boyfriend got one of their specials, which was Shakshouka, a poached egg dish in a pepper sauce that was served with bread for dipping. Both dishes were so flavorful! We really enjoyed them. You could also tell they made their own pumpkin syrup for the latte. It tasted so good and not overly sweet at all. Highly recommend!
