    Vanilla Glazed Donut (~$4)
    Aya E.

Ordered: New York Cream Donut (~$6): filled with vanilla pudding and topped with chocolate icing Vanilla Glazed Donut (~$4) Aya's take: Honestly, I didn't even know these were vegan donuts until now as I'm writing this review. They really fooled me. I could not tell the difference at all. The New York Cream Donut aka their take on a Boston Cream was pretty solid! Large in size, good amount of vanilla pudding filling, and surprisingly not overly sweet. The Vanilla Glazed Donut was decent but lacked that lightly crisp texture you get when you bite into it. It's very fluffy and airy. Good try!

Stopped by another donut place while walking down Main Street. The other place was totally overwhelming and too many choices. So we found this place just down the block. The donuts were super fresh, good variety, traditional yeast donut. I had the maple pecan and my partner had chocolate Bavarian cream. We sat inside, which only had 2 tables. The place had a steady stream of people, My donut (maple) was not too sweet, a nice texture with the pecans, and the donut was made to perfection. My partner said that his Bavarian cream was the best he had ever had, but it would have been better without the chocolate. Great place, would eat again. I don't know how much donuts usually are but I think it was $4.75 which seems kind of expensive. It was worth it!

What a pleasant surprise-- all vegan donuts?? We came in on a Saturday around 1pm and one donut flavor had sold out. There was a lot left and there were so many flavors! I really liked the vanilla bean sugar, it was the most simple one but really highlighted how yummy the donut itself was. It was chewy and tasty. The other flavors I enjoyed were the toasted coconut and maple bacon. The creme filled one was similar to a Boston creme donut but I was just okay with the cream flavor.

Oh my god. Best donuts everrrrr and I'm so happy they're vegan! Unique flavors, definitely made with love and care. I never thought I'd ever eat a Rose Pistachio donut but I definitely needed to get 2 of these things so delicious! Maple Pecan was on point too. Hope to go back and try their vegan breakfast sandwiches one day. Wish they were open more hours but then we'd be really spoiled huh? I'll take it when I can :) The Rose Pistachio packs flavor and has this light hint of Rosey floral goodness under the sweet nuttiness of the pistachio!

My family and I have ordered from Peaceful Provisions many times, and we always love their donuts! They're incredibly fluffy and consistently delicious. My favorite is the pistachio-encrusted donut, while my wife really enjoys the poppyseed-glazed, and my kids always go for the peanut butter and jelly donut. The only downside is that they're only open on weekends--I just wish we could get them more often!

I would like to give Peaceful Provisions 19383726248 stars but it apparently isn't possible. This is a vegan mecca-- every vegan deserves to come here at least once in their life. I can only express the highest gratitude for the employees and owners alike for cultivating sustaining my own personal heaven on earth.

Easily my new favorite donut spot! The brioche donuts are perfectly chewy and moist - we tried so many of their flavors and all very delicious (and the perfect "not too sweet" sweetness level). My favorites were the Lemon Poppy Seed Donut Twist and Strawberry Guava (filled with strawberry guava curd, perfect for the summer). We also tried the Black Sesame Mango and Peach Basil (which was also surprisingly amazingly peachy and basil-y). Luckily that weekend we also got to try the $12 gelato panini - they used a vegan gelato, of which the hardness of the sorbet paired nicely with the softness of the donut panini buns. The tartness and acidity of the strawberry jam cut beautifully to balance out the sweet flavors. Cannot wait to visit again!

I had my doubts about vegan donuts, but they're surprisingly delicious and tastes as great as regular donuts! I love the variety and creativity of the donut flavors here, especially the rose pistachio donut. Great interior space with very minimal seating (recommend adding a few more tables and chairs). There's also a very aesthetic wall with tons of prints and colors. Nice spot to grab a dessert and people watch :)

These are some delicious vegan donuts! Be sure to come earlier if you want a bigger selection of flavors to choose from since they do sell out quickly. We came on an especially busy day, so our selection was more limited. My sister had come before and really enjoyed some of their other seasonal/rotating donuts. I tried the maple bacon donut this time and even forgot that it was a vegan donut for a second. The "bacon" bits perfectly contrasted the sweetness of the donut. The donut itself was so fluffy and I wish I had gotten some other flavors to try. The shop is on the smaller side and there isn't too much seating inside. The decor is super adorable and makes a great backdrop for your delicious snack.

The best donuts ever! Go early and wait in line - it is worth it. They sell out early so they will not be open for all the hours, once they are sold out, they close up the shop. The donuts have a brioche texture. They are super soft, but so flavorful. We loved the coconut flavor, but they have so many different unique flavors to try.

My family and I waited in line before they opened. We were probably 4th in queue. I honestly did not expect these to be as good as they were! The doughnuts weren't overly sweet and had great flavors & textures. Their staff was already grouchy by 10am.

FABULOUS Doughnhts! First and foremost, I appreciate their time consuming process to prepare the brioche doughnuts. I'm super picky about doughnuts because I strongly believe they aren't just fried dough - the type of dough and quality of the dough matters! You can read more about their process on their website but you can definitely taste the difference when you bite into their soft, pillow doughnuts. It's very light and delicate, not too dense, not too dry, fried with just the right amount of oil, and stays moist (tested - freeze immediately and they will thaw to the lovely fresh texture). I also love that they make everything scratch made, from their creams to the crumb toppings. I am a sucker for housemade vegan creams. Not the frozen vegan dole whip, or some processed crap, but a fresh cream made with love. Their fillings also range from creams, to puddings, to jams and icings. I always prefer creams, but luckily their other fillings aren't insanely sweet (still can be sweet, but not gross sweet). But the creams are perfect. It reminds me of those fluffy cream cakes in my pre-vegan days made with whipped heavy cream that leaves a cooling buttery mouth feel. Next, the cronuts! I really wish these were around more but I totally understand they are labor intensive. It's just extra touching considering when the Cronut trend came to New York most vegans couldn't partake, and while there were some vegan Cronuts, they were always lathered in icings and sugar which took away from the buttery flaky layers I looked for in a Cronut. I also love their rotating flavors and it had become such a fun tradition to visit every week/weekend to try all their newest flavors. Everything they make here is superb quality and they have become my favorite doughnut shop (vegan or non-vegan). The people that work here and the community they draw is also amazing which is an indicator of what an important business they are here! I can't wait to see all the new flavors they come up with, and hope to see more cronuts soon!

Ask the Community - Peaceful Provisions

I just saw ur site on Yelp. Do you have peanuts and tree nuts in ur facility? My kids have peanut and tree nut allergies. Thanks!

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately we are not a nut free facility and use peanuts/tree nuts in our products often.

Is this a storefront or do I have to order online? I've had friends tell me they just walked in but the girl that I spoke to on the phone didn't seem to know what I was talking about and said there was never a store front, it's all done by preorder?

Sorry for the confusion! Peaceful Provisions is no longer available at the address previously listed on our yelp (1002 Main St, Peekskill, NY 10566). That address was a former preorder pickup site, but we moved to other pickup sites 3 months ago.… Read more

He will fill you with his wealth of knowledge of Sri Lankan food as well as how his food is pure and wholesome. Food was very good. I had Sri Lankan rice entree specialty dish. Except for the the shrimp tasting like dried shrimp - which I hate with a passion the rest of the dish was pretty good. No complaints from my other guests who enjoyed their meals. The dessert was great. They have both vegetarian (including goat, beef, pork, shrimp, squid, and chicken) and non-vegetarian options. It fell short of five stars for two reasons: 1. the dried shrimp or dried fish taste in the dish (shimp, calamari, and chicken); and 2. the moderately high prices (I can only compare to prices at Indian restaurants in the city, and what people are typically paying for the same portion size at casual sit down restaurants) Since we don't frequent this location often it is a treat to stop by every once in awhile and introduce my friends to it. If you are on a budget and consume large volumes of food to be full, this is most likely a one off or a place you may want to skip. Otherwise, enjoy it. On premise parking lot and seems ADA compliant. It looks like it is in a house, but inside it is comfortable and casual. It appears there is allot more local customers than visitors from out of town. The interior plays tourist information on Sri Lanka while the interior is also decorated in culturally appropriate ascents. We were there on a Saturday for dinner and the space was fairly empty - perhaps two other tables occupied. It is in sort of a remote area outside the main drag of Beacon most are familiar with (not within reasonable walking distance). It's worth a try, especially if you are interested in healthier forms of food (ingredients).

I love the long tables that allow for bigger groups and just a collaborative family like setting. On both sides of the windows, there's also seating available too which is appreciated. The cute notepad wall filled with positive affirmations and sayings are such a sweet touch especially during the holiday season. The fact that you are able to choose your sweetness is one of the most simplest yet thoughtful things shops that sell matcha can do. It''s really customer centric which I appreciate. I ordered the matcha thomas with oat milk and 100% sweetness. The drink had the perfect color, has notes of coconut and vanilla and although it was 100% sweetness it was still subtle. There were only 5 different food stalls plus the ice cream stall in the very front, however only 3 of the food stalls were open at 7pm on a Saturday. This is a small town, so I get it, but I was thoroughly surprised at this because of how crowded the entire town had been all weekend (it was truly the perfect weather to be out here!). The taco food stall had some Mac and cheese that I really wanted, but he was so overwhelmed with making a large order with only one person helping him that he literally told me to come back in 30 minutes to place my order. I ended up ordering the Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich from the burger place, where the guy (working solo) told me it would take about 30 minutes before it would be ready. We were in no rush, and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait!! The ooey gooey cheese paired with perfectly browned Texas toast satisfied my hunger after a long day of hiking and window shopping. My husband ordered the Paneer Kati Roll + Mango Lassi from the Indian food stall. He liked the roll, however we both decided that the lassi was average at best. Additionally, they served it with ice which was a huge disappointment (**being that my husband is from India, we have standards regarding Indian food). I'm giving 4 stars because the overall atmosphere of this food hall was not the best... Definitely NOT enough seating... They didn't seem to have anyone on staff taking care of the place, so the two tables that were empty when we arrived were extremely dirty (we cleaned one ourselves). They also didn't have napkins readily available and only 2 individual restrooms, despite having a bar in the back. Also, it was SO DARK inside... Scarce lighting which was not very pleasant or welcoming, especially since the sun was shining brightly outside. There is an outdoor patio, which is great, however because the weather was nice it was completely full. Final thoughts: this is a great place to grab lunch or dinner with a group of friends, especially if no one can agree on where to go. There's a variety of options and something for everyone to enjoy!

On a trip to Colorado, Kihlmire visited a shop that featured an abundance of books and records. He came up with an idea to open a similar shop that would also feature craft beer. Kihlmire initially opened The Vinyl Room by himself in Wappingers Falls. In addition to beer, records, and video games, customers could also enjoy pizza by ordering it through a special window that connected to the Wagon Wheel next door. Although the concept was well-received, the small space and constraints from the landlord limited the full potential of the business. In July 2021, it moved to a new space at 344 Main Street in Beacon. Customers could order food from Roma Nova across the street. Unfortunately, the space was still too small and the owners received numerous noise complaints from apartment tenants upstairs. In August 2023, The Vinyl Room moved down the street to 393 Main Street to their third (and hopefully forever) location. For the latest version of the business, childhood friend Kane Licari came on board as a partner. This also marks the first time that The Vinyl Room features a kitchen with their own food. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, rice bowls, tacos, wings, and various bar bites. In addition to craft beer, the bar also serves wine, craft cocktails, and mocktails. I recently visited The Vinyl Room for lunch with my two sons while we were visiting Beacon. Any place that features craft beer, records, and classic arcade cabinets sounds like Heaven to someone like me. I really liked the whole vibe of the interior with the industrial design and all of the pop culture and music references. My sons and I grabbed a booth and looked over the menu. For food, I had the "Crunchy Chicken Bowl" (sushi rice, pickled onions, avocado, arugula, charred corn, chili garlic crunch, creamy garlic sauce), my older son had the "Grilled Cheese" (Vermont white cheddar, havarti, slow roasted onions, roasted garlic butter, sourdough), and my younger son had the "Return of The Mac" (smoked gouda Vermont cheddar cream, buttery breadcrumbs). We were all very happy with our choices! To drink, I had a draught pour of Upward Brewing's "Summer Camp" (Helles Lager). After finishing our delicious meal, I scrolled through the impressive record collection. Then we all headed downstairs to have a blast in the arcade. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Equilibrium Brewery's "Tidal Balance" (Double IPA; collab w/ Sand City Brewing). We all had such a fun experience at The Vinyl Room and we hope to return in the future!

Others were ahead of me, so I patiently waited to order: Tripple Smash Burger, Honey Buffalo Salad, Purple Rain (2), Diet Coke. I paid at the bar, served the drinks and waited for our food. The music was 80's MTV Themed {Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Bruuuce, Billy Idol}. Jenga, Horrible Couple and Cards Against Humanity were on the tables to pass the time. Or flip through the many records available for purchase until the food arrives. The salad was large in size and very good. Been a while since I had a burger, and this filled the void. Upon leaving we saw someone was having a birthday party, which was nice to see. I'm sure in the summer this place gets packed. They also have a selection of draught beer (The proper way to spell it). Good choice for food, although it wasn't cheap. Bill w/tip was $100. I think having a server on staff for all hours would be a good decision for TVR to make, in order to TCB !
