Donut / cookies from another vendor lol

I found myself back at peaceful provisions ! I just love this place . The freshness of their donuts but not only that , it's so delicious . There is always a sweet person behind the register that helps you and I appreciate that . I got a corn cookie , almond croissant , biscoff donut and a strawberry crumb filled with jam . They were all delicious but my favorite had to be the biscoff so good . Everything was delicious though . Love this place

Ordered: New York Cream Donut (~$6): filled with vanilla pudding and topped with chocolate icing Vanilla Glazed Donut (~$4) Aya's take: Honestly, I didn't even know these were vegan donuts until now as I'm writing this review. They really fooled me. I could not tell the difference at all. The New York Cream Donut aka their take on a Boston Cream was pretty solid! Large in size, good amount of vanilla pudding filling, and surprisingly not overly sweet. The Vanilla Glazed Donut was decent but lacked that lightly crisp texture you get when you bite into it. It's very fluffy and airy. Good try!

Stopped by another donut place while walking down Main Street. The other place was totally overwhelming and too many choices. So we found this place just down the block. The donuts were super fresh, good variety, traditional yeast donut. I had the maple pecan and my partner had chocolate Bavarian cream. We sat inside, which only had 2 tables. The place had a steady stream of people, My donut (maple) was not too sweet, a nice texture with the pecans, and the donut was made to perfection. My partner said that his Bavarian cream was the best he had ever had, but it would have been better without the chocolate. Great place, would eat again. I don't know how much donuts usually are but I think it was $4.75 which seems kind of expensive. It was worth it!

What a pleasant surprise-- all vegan donuts?? We came in on a Saturday around 1pm and one donut flavor had sold out. There was a lot left and there were so many flavors! I really liked the vanilla bean sugar, it was the most simple one but really highlighted how yummy the donut itself was. It was chewy and tasty. The other flavors I enjoyed were the toasted coconut and maple bacon. The creme filled one was similar to a Boston creme donut but I was just okay with the cream flavor.

Oh my god. Best donuts everrrrr and I'm so happy they're vegan! Unique flavors, definitely made with love and care. I never thought I'd ever eat a Rose Pistachio donut but I definitely needed to get 2 of these things so delicious! Maple Pecan was on point too. Hope to go back and try their vegan breakfast sandwiches one day. Wish they were open more hours but then we'd be really spoiled huh? I'll take it when I can :) The Rose Pistachio packs flavor and has this light hint of Rosey floral goodness under the sweet nuttiness of the pistachio!

Easily my new favorite donut spot! The brioche donuts are perfectly chewy and moist - we tried so many of their flavors and all very delicious (and the perfect "not too sweet" sweetness level). My favorites were the Lemon Poppy Seed Donut Twist and Strawberry Guava (filled with strawberry guava curd, perfect for the summer). We also tried the Black Sesame Mango and Peach Basil (which was also surprisingly amazingly peachy and basil-y). Luckily that weekend we also got to try the $12 gelato panini - they used a vegan gelato, of which the hardness of the sorbet paired nicely with the softness of the donut panini buns. The tartness and acidity of the strawberry jam cut beautifully to balance out the sweet flavors. Cannot wait to visit again!

My family and I have ordered from Peaceful Provisions many times, and we always love their donuts! They're incredibly fluffy and consistently delicious. My favorite is the pistachio-encrusted donut, while my wife really enjoys the poppyseed-glazed, and my kids always go for the peanut butter and jelly donut. The only downside is that they're only open on weekends--I just wish we could get them more often!

I would like to give Peaceful Provisions 19383726248 stars but it apparently isn't possible. This is a vegan mecca-- every vegan deserves to come here at least once in their life. I can only express the highest gratitude for the employees and owners alike for cultivating sustaining my own personal heaven on earth.

I had my doubts about vegan donuts, but they're surprisingly delicious and tastes as great as regular donuts! I love the variety and creativity of the donut flavors here, especially the rose pistachio donut. Great interior space with very minimal seating (recommend adding a few more tables and chairs). There's also a very aesthetic wall with tons of prints and colors. Nice spot to grab a dessert and people watch :)

These are some delicious vegan donuts! Be sure to come earlier if you want a bigger selection of flavors to choose from since they do sell out quickly. We came on an especially busy day, so our selection was more limited. My sister had come before and really enjoyed some of their other seasonal/rotating donuts. I tried the maple bacon donut this time and even forgot that it was a vegan donut for a second. The "bacon" bits perfectly contrasted the sweetness of the donut. The donut itself was so fluffy and I wish I had gotten some other flavors to try. The shop is on the smaller side and there isn't too much seating inside. The decor is super adorable and makes a great backdrop for your delicious snack.

Amazing vegan donuts! I can see why they won best donut in New York - they're pretty much perfect.

We took a detour to Beacon on our way home from Legoland, just so we could try the vegan donuts from Peaceful Provisions. They are only open on weekends, and after months of looking at their offerings on Instagram, it was so hard to limit ourselves to just six (although the fact that they had sold out of some before our noon visit helped). They were definitely worth the trip. We ended up getting one filled donut (blueberry French toast) and five unfilled (strawberry, passion fruit strawberry, hibiscus sugar, toasted coconut, blackberry peach). The donuts were amazing, some of the best donuts I've had, vegan or not. Fluffy, great texture, and wonderful flavors, especially the vibrant fruit flavors. My favorites were the strawberry with sprinkles, passion fruit strawberry, and hibiscus sugar, and I would definitely get those again on another visit if they're there. Can't wait until we're back in the area to get more weekend donuts!

The best donuts ever! Go early and wait in line - it is worth it. They sell out early so they will not be open for all the hours, once they are sold out, they close up the shop. The donuts have a brioche texture. They are super soft, but so flavorful. We loved the coconut flavor, but they have so many different unique flavors to try.

Ask the Community - Peaceful Provisions

I just saw ur site on Yelp. Do you have peanuts and tree nuts in ur facility? My kids have peanut and tree nut allergies. Thanks!

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately we are not a nut free facility and use peanuts/tree nuts in our products often.

Is this a storefront or do I have to order online? I've had friends tell me they just walked in but the girl that I spoke to on the phone didn't seem to know what I was talking about and said there was never a store front, it's all done by preorder?

Sorry for the confusion! Peaceful Provisions is no longer available at the address previously listed on our yelp (1002 Main St, Peekskill, NY 10566). That address was a former preorder pickup site, but we moved to other pickup sites 3 months ago.…

It's counter service and there was already a bit of a line when we arrived around 7:15am (why were so many people already up and about?! lol). We loved that they had a great variety of options, including many vegetarian options. I went with the egg & cheese sandwich and accidentally ordered it without the greens & sauce (whoops!). However, it was still delicious and satisfying. My husband got the avocado toast which was SUPER filling due to the hummus that was on it. He was only able to finish half of it. We also got a side order of fruit which, to my delight, was a bowl of berries! The fruit is seasonal so the combination might be different depending on what time of year you are visiting. Also, both of our coffees met our standards, which are a bit high these days. So kudos to them on that! The ambiance was absolutely incredible!!! Very well lit with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. We sat near the back of the restaurant (away from all windows), however we still felt like we were being flooded with sunlight. It was wonderful! Definitely recommend coming here to grab breakfast while visiting Beacon!

One of the best dishes they used to have there were spinach and cheese momos, they got rid of it. That dish was also one of the things that made it unique and better than alot of the momo places i have been to. They have the chicken momos, which are decent, the beef one is meh. They also got rid of the mixed momos option. For the mains: Pad gra prao is decent but too salty, spicy but not too spicy. Chicken with chili, it has good heat, but that's all. The flavor is just weird, the chicken is nice and tender, but the sauce tastes weird as if they put too much corn starch in it and mixed in some weird smoke flavor. Not a fan. Overall: may come back in another year to see if they added the spinach and cheese momos back, at the same time, I'm gonna find a new go to place nearby.

He will fill you with his wealth of knowledge of Sri Lankan food as well as how his food is pure and wholesome. Food was very good. I had Sri Lankan rice entree specialty dish. Except for the the shrimp tasting like dried shrimp - which I hate with a passion the rest of the dish was pretty good. No complaints from my other guests who enjoyed their meals. The dessert was great. They have both vegetarian (including goat, beef, pork, shrimp, squid, and chicken) and non-vegetarian options. It fell short of five stars for two reasons: 1. the dried shrimp or dried fish taste in the dish (shimp, calamari, and chicken); and 2. the moderately high prices (I can only compare to prices at Indian restaurants in the city, and what people are typically paying for the same portion size at casual sit down restaurants) Since we don't frequent this location often it is a treat to stop by every once in awhile and introduce my friends to it. If you are on a budget and consume large volumes of food to be full, this is most likely a one off or a place you may want to skip. Otherwise, enjoy it. On premise parking lot and seems ADA compliant. It looks like it is in a house, but inside it is comfortable and casual. It appears there is allot more local customers than visitors from out of town. The interior plays tourist information on Sri Lanka while the interior is also decorated in culturally appropriate ascents. We were there on a Saturday for dinner and the space was fairly empty - perhaps two other tables occupied. It is in sort of a remote area outside the main drag of Beacon most are familiar with (not within reasonable walking distance). It's worth a try, especially if you are interested in healthier forms of food (ingredients).

There were only 5 different food stalls plus the ice cream stall in the very front, however only 3 of the food stalls were open at 7pm on a Saturday. This is a small town, so I get it, but I was thoroughly surprised at this because of how crowded the entire town had been all weekend (it was truly the perfect weather to be out here!). The taco food stall had some Mac and cheese that I really wanted, but he was so overwhelmed with making a large order with only one person helping him that he literally told me to come back in 30 minutes to place my order. I ended up ordering the Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich from the burger place, where the guy (working solo) told me it would take about 30 minutes before it would be ready. We were in no rush, and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait!! The ooey gooey cheese paired with perfectly browned Texas toast satisfied my hunger after a long day of hiking and window shopping. My husband ordered the Paneer Kati Roll + Mango Lassi from the Indian food stall. He liked the roll, however we both decided that the lassi was average at best. Additionally, they served it with ice which was a huge disappointment (**being that my husband is from India, we have standards regarding Indian food). I'm giving 4 stars because the overall atmosphere of this food hall was not the best... Definitely NOT enough seating... They didn't seem to have anyone on staff taking care of the place, so the two tables that were empty when we arrived were extremely dirty (we cleaned one ourselves). They also didn't have napkins readily available and only 2 individual restrooms, despite having a bar in the back. Also, it was SO DARK inside... Scarce lighting which was not very pleasant or welcoming, especially since the sun was shining brightly outside. There is an outdoor patio, which is great, however because the weather was nice it was completely full. Final thoughts: this is a great place to grab lunch or dinner with a group of friends, especially if no one can agree on where to go. There's a variety of options and something for everyone to enjoy!

The shrimp scampi was easily the best dish we ordered. So good. Make sure to dip the baguette into the buttery shrimp sauce. If you're sharing, I'd recommend ordering extra bread because you'll definitely want it. The garlic parmesan wings were excellent. We also tried the blackberry BBQ wings. I didn't really care for that flavor combination but I'm still glad I gave them a shot. Both flavors had big meaty wings that were cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was really good. Definitely more of an elevated version with a lot going on. I enjoyed it but it was a little too fancy for the kiddo who prefers a simpler mac and cheese. The chicken tenders were very basic and the fries that came with them were pretty weak. We also ordered the garlic parmesan truffle fries which were much better than the regular fries, even if they weren't anything special. The lemonade was also too sour for my taste. We ended up adding sugar ourselves and after that it was much better. Overall, we had a good meal. I'll go anywhere to look at Bruce Springsteen's face and get buzzed off a martini called Purple Rain. Count me in girrrrl
