So sometimes we drive by when they're supposed to be open ,only to see a lock on the gate. It's a seasonal shop as it is so if closed on a hot summer day it can be a bit disappointing but I get the reason . Overall the season closes just around Thanksgiving. Cash only. Just take a look at this lil Stand, it's so welcoming nicely decorated with beautiful flowers and tropical colors a real Hawaiian theme going on which makes you feel like your on Vacation .... O, did I mention that they have Island music playing steel drums and all that Caribbean music which makes you forget all your worries !!! Finally it was my turn to be served and this nice lady greeted me with a friendly smile and knew it was my first time here... she was so nice she explained how they make fresh snow as they call it, she actually made me a snow ball in the middle of July ... lol They shave block ice in a machine which turns it into fresh fallen snow ... then their flavor syrups get poured on top and the snow catches all the syrups just like it's gonna catch you !!! I was familiar with Kona from around town at other events and their shaved ice was always delish. I emailed Rupesh who was super helpful and responsive in accommodating a date and time for the party and was so patient when our schedule changed and we needed to alter our timing. The truck arrived a few minutes before the start of our party and fit right in our driveway. The kids loved the snow cones, which they could flavor themselves from a variety of cool and yummy flavors, and there were there awesome selections for adults too like lavender lemonade and mai tai - fun and fancy shaved ice! They played some tropical music and gave a lei and extra special cup to the birthday girl. It was a nice change of pace from your every day ice cream truck! Their bingsoo is always so fluffy which I really like and the mango flavor is super strong as well so it doesn't feel like I'm having plain bingsoo once I get to the middle. The croffles from here are always sooo good. They're so chewy and warm which was super comforting for the cold weather that has been going on recently. This place is self service so the only interaction you have with the staff is when ordering. They are always super patient and helpful. The cute cafe has quite a bit of seats as well but because it is pretty popular around the area, it does fill up quite quickly.
