Like all places some things are really good and some you can avoid. Prices are really good though. Get the cheesecakes. We got two of the mini ones. At $4 they are totally worth it and good. It's less than what you pay at the grocery store for a slice and way better. Not as good as Cheesecake Factory but it's also not $15. The cheesecake is a little dense. Good but a little dense. Key thing is to let it sit out for at least 30 minutes before eating it. Avoid the brownies. Sure they try to entice you by putting attractive flavors in them but no. You know those little Debbie cosmic brownies. Take two of those and put a flavoring in the middle and that's what you got. Our second try we got some of the cake "slices". Again some good some stay away from. The lemon one was good. Nice light fluffy cake with good lemon flavoring. Just not sure about the fancy frosting on top. It's not really frosting. It's like whipped cream and frosting combined. Not bad just different and a little weird. Avoid the carrot cake. It's not carrot cake. Has no carrot cake flavor. They use cream cheese frosting in the middle which is good but then they put the weird frosting they do on top and it just doesn't work. The cookies were meh. They are the nicest couple and very accommodating to anything you might need for whatever special occasion you're there for. The things that they bake are exceptional. Of course we all have our favorite mind being the chocolate mousse cake. The only word for that cake is divine! My adult son on the other hand would order the ice cream cake for whatever occasion he could think of! Do yourself a favor and go in and try some of the pastries. The owner always greets us with a smile and gives us recommendations. There's not much in the way of decor, but it's cute and small. The counter person was incredibly sweets like sweets she was serving, and I felt like a valued customer, and I visited when it was 20 minutes to closing here as well. Both the lemon poppy and raspberry cheesecake were incredible creamy and sweet, plus got to love that mini cheesecake rather than places that serve by slices. I have fallen in love with this bakery. I needed a birthday cheesecake for my bf and he sent me here. He had 3 top pivks.. 1. Mango cheesecake, 2. raspberry cheesecake and 3. Strawberry shortcake (in that order) I'm going to be honest I like cheesecake but my favorite is strawberry shortcake. And I thought he was crazy for his order of favorites... until I went in. She was super nice and helpful to me. As far as my order.... the mango cheesecake only came in a mini cake size, the raspberry cheesecake came in a 7" size so I went with that..and yes.. I HAD to get 2 slices of strawberry shortcake for myself too. The strawberry shortcake was very light and has fresh strawberry throughout the layers... but the star of the day was that raspberry cheesecake.. OMG! I picked out a cake for a birthday gathering, and it was the most delicious cake that I have ever tasted from a bakery. It had a tempered chocolate shell on the outside, and layers of moist, chocolate sponge, chocolate mousse/creme/ganache and raspberry mousse. Everything tied together when I put it in my mouth, and the raspberry cut through really nicely because of the tartness. Everyone's eyes opened wide when they first put the cake into their mouths. Highly recommend stopping by this bakery to pick up some sweet treats!! Went not knowing what I wanted and ended up leaving with 5 things for 2 people... Big fan of everything Cannoli flavored so I asked for a rec: they had a cannoli cake slice, cannoli cremepuff, cannoli cheesecake and a cannoli filled brownie... I ended up getting the cremepuff and cake slice, both very good, moist and flavorful. Napoleon had the perfect amount of custard, not at all dry due to tons of pastry sheets and not enough filling. Chocolate mousse was very rich! Mango cheesecake was my favorite and I only chose it because I read a previous review. I thought the swirl of mango on top would be the only mango but there's a layer between the bottom crust and the cheesecake making sure mango is in every bite - genius but not overpowering and very creamy! Since they knew I was such a big cannoli fan they offered to put some filling on top of the cheesecake bc never enough of that stuff and without charging any extra. After reading some of the negative comments made I am disgusted by those cruel words. I have been going to this bakery for 30 years for many different occasions and from cakes to cupcakes and to cookies. Everything is absolutely perfect and amazing and people at our functions want to know where these delicious items came from. Unresponsive and very rude when I called to ask if they had any cakes in stock. I was rushed off the phone while still half way in between my sentences. However, the quality of the cakes here are ok. The owner of Bakery Plus did such a Fantastic job on the cake it was So BEAUTIFUL! She is a very nice person to talk with every time I go into Bakery Plus. Her desserts are all DELICIOUS Makes me want to order and eat everything that she has in the Bakery I ordered a New Blueberry dessert and my husband LOVES the Carrot Cake Dessert! We ordered one of our favorites; a yellow cake, raspberry and custard filling and whipped cream on top and it was phenomenal. I have been searching for new bakery as the one I love is too far away from where I now live. I stopped in on Saturday looking to get a birthday cake for the same day. Everything looked fresh and delicious. Being that this was my first time I was worried about buying a whole cake before even trying it. Thankfully they sell their cakes in slices too! Growing up I had fond memories of this bakery. Any event where we got to have their infamous vanilla cake with chocolate mousse & raspberry filling was a real treat. I was in the area and nostalgia pulled me in. Everything looked delicious and the childhood memories flooded back. I decided on trying the individual chocolate mouse cheesecake. It looked decadent. When I tasted it I was disappointed. The mousse tasted oily not creamy. It has a heavy shortening base vs. cream base which is a cost saving measure in a heavy production bakery but doesn't give the flavor that cream mousse yields. I suppose over time shortcuts like this become the norm but as a foodie with a passion for quality I have to say I'm disappointed in the shortcut. This is a great place to get your birthday cakes, etc. So much more flavor and quality than you'll find in a supermarket bakery! My most recent trip I got a piece of carrot cake, chocolate raspberry cake and mango cheesecake. All were good, except the chocolate cake, which is actually the only item I've ever had from this bakery that I don't like. Rather than frosting on top, they do a chocolate coating, which rather than melt in your mouth has a rather tasteless, blah quality. I was so hurt by the fact that I called and the woman who answered the phone was incredibly RUDE. I wanted an Italian Cream cake. I asked if they made them. She thought I wanted canolli creme. I then told her that I was from Texas and wasn't sure if it was the same.
