Decided to hit this spot after grabbing some dinner around the area. If you love bingsoo definitely recommend coming here. They have small and large sizes, I got the small matcha strawberry and it was delicious. Good to share with 2 people, I would say the large is good to share with 4 people. Workers are friendly and service was quick. They do have good amount of seatings but do fill up quickly during busy times. read more

Super creamy, smooth bingsoo everytime. I've been here a few times and they are consistently good and busy! I've tried the mango cheesecake bingsoo and the strawberry matcha which were both so good! The mango was perfectly ripe and sweet. The strawberry matcha was a great combination with a nice matcha flavor. The prices keep going up and are now $20 which seems like a lot for dessert, but they are definitly shareable. I've only come in the evening and each time it's been busy, but we manage to find a table. Their drinks sounds good, but I haven't tried them yet. read more

Remarkable dessert! We opted for the mango. Everything was perfectly layered and wonderful for sharing. Fruit was fresh and I felt like everything was crafted with care. It was so nice to see groups of five or six enjoying a dessert together. *The only reason I am not giving five stars is because they use styrofoam bowls and this is horrible for the environment. Stopped here after lunch for the strawberry and green tea bingsoo. It was tasty though I wish it had more condensed milk. There are 2 sizes available - cup and bowl - which is nice if you want a small portion. This cafe had loads of other menu options as well like coffee and cookies with real fun flavors like matcha pistachio. They have a good variety of desserts here and I was very happy with their black sesame matcha bingsoo! I couldn't help myself so I also bought a few macarons and ube cookies to take home which were quite delicious as well! Although it's a little pricey, you can definitely share the cup for two people. They have a decent amount of seating but be prepared to wait because they do get busy. Cute ambiance. I would definitely come back to try their tiramisu bingsoo and buy more of their cookies. read more

Our favorite Bingsu place. My go to favorite is the Mango Cheesecake Bingsu. The perfect combination of the icecream, mochi, shaved ice, mango bits, mango syrup and cornflakes. Café Leah has a variety of desserts. Settled on broad avenue, it is often busy but in a good way. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating when the weather is warmer. Service is a little debatable. Sometimes we walk in, there's no welcome and some of the ladies behind the counter can be off putting. It's noticeable - I'm not here for you, just desserts. Loved the bingsoo. The mango cheesecake was seriously one of the best desserts I've ever had. the cornflake crunch and fresh mango were amazing. Everything was balanced and man i could've gotten another! The only downside was it took pretty long for us to get one item and it was all too busy. like 25 mins. and then someone else took it and then tried to give it to us! luckily, they remade it for us but def not allowed to do that so bummer. I think that was a once in a while experience though so just listen close for them to call your number after you order!! Didn't get any of the cookies but they looked sooo good!! read more

Cafe Leah has really good bingsu. The ice is milky and creamy rather than just plain shaved ice, which I personally prefer and it reminds me of bingsu in Asia. My only complaint would be the parking -- it's limited to street parking, so it can be a bit tricky and when they're busy, the wait time can be long. read more

Dropped by for a quick post dinner sweet treat! Most of the bingsoo was at the top with bits of tiramisu at the bottom. It also comes with a price of cake at the top. I found the cup to be the perfect size to share between two people. Came here on a Sunday night before closing to find it a bit crowded but not too loud. Service is average. read more

Best bingsoo ever! I've been thinking about this for over a year. It is pretty expensive about $20 for a bowl and $12 for a cup but it can be split for 2-4 people, it was a lot for just 2 people. Not too sweet and perfectly balanced with the toppings. I will come back again. It came out pretty fast but there is limited seating. read more

We were headed to another spot down the street, but it was unexpectedly closed for renovations. Luckily, we stumbled upon Cafe Leah--and we're so glad we did! I tried the matcha cookie (just okay), but the real standout was the mango cheesecake bingsoo. It was a delicious mix of shaved ice, condensed milk, fresh mango, and cake pieces--a perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. They even gave us extra condensed milk, but it was sweet enough as is. Ordered: Mango & Cheesecake Bingsoo Bowl (~$18) Aya's take: We stopped by for a quick dessert as this is one of the only places in the area that has Bingsoo. We were hesitant about ordering the Mango & Cheesecake one since it's not mango season but the workers assured us that the mangoes were sweet. The bowl is massive and can definitely feed 3-4 people. For 1-2 people, I think the cup is sufficient. Cafe Leah missed the mark on this, in my opinion. Not only was the mango not sweet (like they assured us it was), but it also completely lacked any distinct flavors aside from being sweet. The cheesecake bites didn't add anything for me while the ice cream and condensed milk on the side made the Bingsoo palpable. They also have a Yelp check-in offer which they didn't honor; I would suggest they remove it instead of having this awkward conversation with customers every time. I wouldn't come back. read more

One of the better Bingsu spots I've been to. The place is quite small and gets busy. They have a lot of options that all looks so tasty. The big bowl is a great size for two people. I definitely enjoy the quality of the ice as well as the toppings. Not many other places put mochi in there Bingsu which was nice to see here. I wish there was more condensed milk and syrup on my bingsu. I highly recommend this place would come back. read more

Service was attentive. Quality of food and drink were spot on. Korean fish shaped dessert and hazelnut latte respectively. Large, bright and spacious seating. I didn't know how popular this place is for bingsoo (Korean shaved ice). Note to self, need to come back in the summer for it. Parking is a pain as it is for this entire area. You can try to find paid street parking along Broad Ave or go down the side streets and park for free in the residential areas. There is a parking structure under the store that you pay $3 for valet or self parking. $3 is the total cost regardless of time so it's a steal if you're able to snag a spot. read more

It was hot and I wanted something cool. Here it was. Bingsoo!! I first ordered a small one to go and saw this on another table. I changed my mind to dine in instead of taking it out. I asked the server whether it was too late to change it to bigger portion if they didn't make it yet. I paid the difference and got the big one on the picture. It was really good. The ambiance was good but it was very crowded. The ice ( milk shaved) wasn't what I had expected when I first tried it but it turned out to be perfect by the time I finished the bingsoo. After 3 years since my last review here and Cafe Leah still offers the best mango cheesecake bingsoo in the area. How so? Well, no other place gives you Frosted Flakes as a topping with it. Also no other place puts the topping on top and at the bottom. That's what makes this so good! The execution is spot on. They are now selling cookies and mochi donuts which is new. Got the yakgwa cookie since that is not a typical flavor for cookies. Pretty good but not truly authentic since there's some sort of cream cheese filling in the middle. Would I get it again? Maybe once in a blue moon. The bingsoo though would be all the time no question. read more

Wow was this place crowded. The music and staff were extremely friendly for myself being a first timer with so many questions! The bingsu was delicious, there weee so many flavors we wanted to try but i was stuffed from dinner. Bingsu is the best way to follow up a nice korean meal. Cafe Leah is simply THE dessert place to go to in Palisades Park. I think it is widely known in the area that it's one of the best spots around for quality bingsoo. I've been several times and have always enjoyed it very much. The most recent time, I got the Mango Cheesecake Bingsoo Bowl, which was about as good as bingsoo gets. On top of the high quality shaved ice, there were fresh mango cubes, cheesecake cubes throughout, sweet corn flakes to add some nice crunchy texture, plus a yummy scoop of vanilla ice cream. This was completed with some mango syrup and condensed milk drizzled on top. This large $17 bowl was enough to satisfy 3 of us. I have also tried the honeydew bingsoo bowl before, which was delicious as well with honeydew balls and an actual melona bar in it. The cafe has a nice bakery kind of vibe with a decent amount of seating. They also offer a variety of drinks and pastries. The staff are fairly friendly and the service speed is quick. They announce each order over the loudspeaker, making for an efficient pick-up process. Overall, I hope to continue visiting Cafe Leah whenever I am in the Palisades Park area and looking for a delicious dessert and you should too! read more

The bingsoo was decent, but the cashier was extremely rude. I'm not sure if it was because I'm not Korean, but if you're running a business and charging $25 for a bingsoo, your staff should be trained to treat all customers respectfully and without discrimination. read more

The bingsoo cups were not ideal in our opinion - flavor was good but the bottom turns to slush much more quickly than other bingsoo I've experienced, so I'd probably try a bowl next time. I was eyeing the melon bingsoo, so definitely want to try it next time. We needed some bingsoo on a hot June day, and I had already had Cafe Leah bookmarked. So we headed over on a Monday at around 2:30, after having lunch nearby. It was pretty busy at that time but we were able to get one of the last remaining tables. We ordered the bowl of Green Tea Strawberry and it was SO good. It comes served with lots of fresh cut up strawberrys, mochi bits, some kind of clotted cream topping, and condensed milk on the side (which I highly recommend). The ice was so fine, so you have to eat it quickly because it'll melt fast. Hubby and I shared one and we were stuffed. Next time, I'll be trying the melon one, and I hope they add an ube or taro one soon. Tip - for your first check in, you get a free drink so we went with a strawberry banana smoothie (which in hindsight probably wasn't the best choice after eating an entire bingsoo). read more

This place means business - Shaved ice business, that is. They offer a wide array of Korean shaved ice, or "bingsoo" and the place is POPPING during these summer days! You can see people packed inside and outside on the outdoor seating. And for a good reason - friendly service, decent interior space, and a killer central location in pal park. It's an excellent cafe to stroll to after a hearty Korean meal. But upon our recent, my 2nd or 3rd, visit, I made a mistake of ordering injelomi bingsoo. Injeolmi is a traditional Korean rice cake rolled in semi-sweet soy powder and known for its chewy goodness, but in this big bowl of it, we found literally 3 paltry froyo mochi-sized, well, mochis, for decoration, and the rest of it was literally just ice + soy powder. I kept digging wondering I'll find another little chewy morsel, but was thwarted with a blue mouth at the end. It did not even have any red bean paste... when I came the first time (see pic) and ordered a cup version, it did, have red bean paste. Not sure how they could put this out ... it's literally water & powder. No condensed milk either. Definitely steer clear of injeolmi bingsoo unless this was an unfortunate mistake. read more

Great spot for desserts - I have only tried one thing from here which was the mango cheesecake shaved ice - delicious! I don't get shaved ice often but I went with my friend who is more of a connoisseur, he said it was really well made. The prices have gone up and $20 is somewhat steep, but it's a big and tasty dessert which is shareable, so I guess it's not too bad. Would give 5/5 stars otherwise! read more

Whenever I come here, I will almost always get the tiramisu bingsoo bowl. The portion size is huge for the price. I usually finish this with my partner, but it could honestly feed up to 4 people. I love how the tiramisu bingsoo comes with a literal slice of tiramisu. So delicious! It is usually packed after dinner so finding a table can be hard. However, this place is definitely worth it! Came by for dessert. Got a black sesame bingsoo bowl. It was more than enough for three people to share. It had a good black sesame flavor. However, it could've been layered better since the middle was lacking the powder. The red bean was also overly sweet. We used about half of the condensed milk they gave. Bingsoo was light and just melted in your mouth. Overall, a little too sweet for me, but the texture of the bingsoo is loads better than anywhere in Manhattan that I've had. read more

This place was cute! They had a good variety of options for their bingsoo, but we opted for the Honeydew Bingsoo! For the price of $17 and the size of the dessert, this is definitely something you should share with 3 or 4 people. I enjoyed the Honeydew flavor, but I felt that the sauce/syrup wasn't incorporated throughout the bingsoo, so there were some parts that were lacking the honeydew flavor. I also wish there was some variety of other textures and flavors (the little mochi pieces were great -- I wish there were more!) I thought the Melona Ice cream bar was a nice touch too. Overall, this seemed like a nice spot for a sweet treat, and I would happily come back to try the other flavors. read more

Imagine our delight when we found this place on Yelp. This is huge for coffee lovers. Most of their beans are single-origin, and while some may be a little nervous that it's next to a gas station, rest assured, it will be one of the best coffees you will ever enjoy. Bold statement, but a true statement. Seating is very limited. One side has four seats at a long bench table, while the other side offers two seats. There was also a table with a few chairs outside. This place has espresso drinks, coffee, a limited tea selection (tea bags, not loose leaf), banana bread, croissants, and other various baked items. We had a buttery croissant and banana bread -- both were heated up and outstanding!! The coffee beans are roasted in-house, and they also offer coffee on tap. It turns out they have several locations, and they all roast their own beans on-site. You can also purchase beans to grind at home, should you choose. Parking is tight but free. They do have a bathroom if you need to use it, and the baristas who work there are all experts at making coffee. They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and are great to chat with about their beans when the place is at a rare slow time. They are dedicated to their craft. Anytime we are nearby, this will be the only place we will be stopping for a supreme cup of java. My biggest regret: not purchasing a bag to take home. The Roast'd Legender is calling out to me.

Very little Italian pastries anymore; more generic cakes, donuts, cookies, etc are the norm now. Of course Korean specialties too. Their rice donuts were amazing. For many years, local bakeries in the area made a Bavarian creme filled pecan danish ring with streusel sugar drizzled on top. PPB still does and it is Amazing! Worth the trip just to buy this item!
