Upon walking into the store, your expectations are set high by the bright overhead lights, clean floors, and the modern look of the sleek white walls and velvet cushion seats. However, the actual cafe experience falls rather short of the aesthetic. The prices felt expensive relative to the quality of the pastries. My friend and I ordered a pistachio pastry and baklava, but both were overly sweet; the pistachio pastry barely tasted like pistachio. The banana pudding was moderately sweet, but it had such a thick and dense texture that it was difficult to finish even a third of it. That being said, I don't think this place is worth it unless you're only in need of a place with a nice atmosphere.

This place seemed overhyped. We hopped in on a rainy early Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. There are diner-style "booths" almost, where people can sit, but it's very limited. The line moved quickly when ordering and the staff was very young but friendly. They had a bunch of Dubai-chocolate "inspired" baked goods but we didn't try any of them. I actually just had a hot Biscoff latte that tasted absolutely like nothing. Zero Biscoff (cookie) flavor. My hubby had a bagel (Simit with sesame and cheese), but it came in a huge box, not sliced, not heated but with the cheese just on the side in a little container. It was so odd. He went back to ask them if they could toast it and spread the cheese - they brought it back just sliced; not toasted, no cheese on it. Not sure if the staff was just incompetent or just didn't care. Overall, overpriced and not a very good first experience. Maybe I'll give it another try next time but I'd stay away from any baked goods that are not sweet that would require the staff to put in a bit of extra effort in "preparing." 2 stars for the decor and for being dog friendly.

I stopped in to grab a matcha latte after visiting Sushi Kai up the road. When I walked in at 9:30pm on a Saturday night, there were no open seats. The inside is very modern with high ceilings and lots of booth seating against the wall. My matcha latte was pretty good but on the pricier side ($8). Desserts looked delicious, especially the Oreo brownie and baklava.

Located in the heart of Fort Lee, an amazing new cafe just opened last wk. Loved the open-door concept, it feels so welcoming and lets in a ton of natural light. Inside, the space is lovely and the sheer variety of croissants on display is amazing. I was initially a bit skeptical it might be another chain, but the coffee's bold and rich flavor proved me wrong. On top of that, the baristas are clearly skilled, crafting beautiful latte art! And they are incredibly pet-friendly which is a huge bonus

Very good Spanish latte coupled with Pistachio Croissant. It made my day. I keep coming back

I almost fell off their green plush velvet cushions when I saw that the Dubai Pistachio Dream dessert was $15.60, yes you heard me loud and clear, it's $15.60. I am kinda of rich but not Fort Lee rich. The Coconut cake was $8.84. I was unfazed by this price because of the $15.60 one. We also got a huge slice of their pistachio baklava to bring home. They gave out generous sample cookie pieces on the counter. I ate my fair share to compensate for the prices I paid for these goodies. Their 3" thick cookies are sinful and delectable. I don't want to know how much butter they used. Not going to lie, the pastries and desserts here are absolutely fantastic. Not too sweet and the flavors came through. I am becoming a huge fan of Middle Eastern sweet treats. My friend and I got a Biscoff and French Toast Latte. Neither flavors came through. If you serve Biscoff latte you should incorporate it into the drink. So imo the coffee is meh. It's all about the desserts. Very limited seating but we were lucky to nab the last two seater in the back.

Not yet open as of this writing, but it sure looks nice! Located in a new building adjacent to Fort Lee Commons. I count 5 coffee shops, maybe more, within a 1 block radius! Looks to be open soon. Check it out when it is!

New cafe in the heart of Fort Lee, next to Fort Lee Commons. They have many specialty drinks. I tried a pitashio coffee drink, it was good, but a little pricey. It is priced for the Fort Lee area. They had a variety of pastries and snacks available. Next time I go, I'll try some snacks. It just opened at the end of August, so they are still getting used to the routine. Service was served with a smile. It had a nice, open space feel, as all the windows open to the point, making it feel like a patio. Nice, clean restaurant; I recommend checking it out if you're in the Fort Lee area.

I would say Service is pretty nonexistent as you order on the counter and you see yourself with no waitressing. The cashier lady was also pretty rude and not accomodating to my request (make my drinks less sweet) so they lose a store for that. Atmosphere is cute and vibes are great, definitely has modern and traditional Korean vibes. However, I would not say that this is like a traditional tea house? Having been to A LOT of tea houses in Korea, their menu and concept is definitely far from what a traditional teahouse is like. For instance, a traditional teahouse would have assorted rice, cakes and traditional, Korean desserts, however, I feel like this place used modern French pastries, and put a Korean twist on them, which I would say is not very Korean in reality. Baked goods were OK. It tasted stale. Losing a star for that as well.

While deciding on what to order, the owner offered to make me a drink that was off the menu. How about a mixed one with strawberry, Matcha and coconut? Hey, if the boss is recommending it I'm all for it. My son got the ube and coconut. OMG, both drinks were so darn yummy. I am not an ube fan whatsoever, but my son insisted I take a sip. I have to say it was the best ube drink I have ever tried. The coconut mixed with the strawberry and matcha is a game changer. The teddy bear made of ice was so cute and makes for a cool IG pic. The owner was sweet enough to ask if we liked it. I gave her the thumbs up and said they were excellent and that we will be back. Oddly they also serve pho here, it's not a restaurant per se. We didn't have any so I can't comment. But definitely come for these yummy Vietnamese concoctions. Street meter parking only.

The teddy bear ice was as cute as advertised but my drink left a lot to be desired. I got a Teddy Strawberry Matcha and my girlfriend got a Teddy Mango Matcha w/ Oat Milk. My drink was very 'meh'. I got regular milk and it feels like the whole drink was overpowered by the milk flavor. I got just hints of matcha and hints of strawberry. And for $7.50 for the drink it was a let down. On the other hand my girlfriend's mango matcha with oat milk was excellent. Each flavor was well represented and none of them were overpowering. I really enjoyed the taste I got of her drink and my girlfriend really liked it too. The service was friendly and they also serve pastries. I'd try them again.

Imagine our delight when we found this place on Yelp. This is huge for coffee lovers. Most of their beans are single-origin, and while some may be a little nervous that it's next to a gas station, rest assured, it will be one of the best coffees you will ever enjoy. Bold statement, but a true statement. Seating is very limited. One side has four seats at a long bench table, while the other side offers two seats. There was also a table with a few chairs outside. This place has espresso drinks, coffee, a limited tea selection (tea bags, not loose leaf), banana bread, croissants, and other various baked items. We had a buttery croissant and banana bread -- both were heated up and outstanding!! The coffee beans are roasted in-house, and they also offer coffee on tap. It turns out they have several locations, and they all roast their own beans on-site. You can also purchase beans to grind at home, should you choose. Parking is tight but free. They do have a bathroom if you need to use it, and the baristas who work there are all experts at making coffee. They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and are great to chat with about their beans when the place is at a rare slow time. They are dedicated to their craft. Anytime we are nearby, this will be the only place we will be stopping for a supreme cup of java. My biggest regret: not purchasing a bag to take home. The Roast'd Legender is calling out to me.

It's smack in the middle of Fort Lee's Main Street, adjacent to the new Fort Lee Commons Park so easily walkable and central to everything. 2. Well, it's kinda glam inside. It's a coffee shop with green velvet booths (can't even remember if I ever visited a coffee shop with actual booths) and pretty gold-embedded wallpaper and trim all around. Kinda like a Dubai chocolate bar that came to life. And that's kind of where it ends for me. I gave this spot two tries. On the first visit. I ordered a mocha and could barely taste any mocha, so I brought it back to the counter to ask if they can pour more. They did. Gave it a good stir. Still couldn't taste it. On the second try, I ordered a potato Turkish bagel and asked for smoked salmon with it (which I saw they used in one of their sandwiches). What I got was a Turkish potato bagel (for which the potato part is invisible) and a whole other smoked salmon sandwich. No wonder my bill came out to $29?! The cashier understood I wanted a smoked salmon sandwich AND a bagel. So, lesson learned: a Turkish bagel is served and eaten differently than a traditional bagel, which would've come with the smoked salmon in the inside like a sandwich. Also ordered a biscotti latte. Biscotti taste is (very) subtle but I think it was there?? Best part about my second visit is the manager, Mo, came over to check on us and offer us refresher drink samples. Very nice guy (thanks again, Mo!) If you're an artisan coffee head who seeks a deep enriched tasteful coffee, I'd go elsewhere. If you're looking for velvet booths, instagrammable background, and pretty-looking pastry display, check it out. It's all looks and no depth.

I noticed that Mavi's has installed wall mounted televisions, which scroll menu items, specials, and upcoming events. This was my first time ordering from their brunch menu and it was outstanding. My Western Omelette (ham, onion, mushroom, pepper, egg, potato, arugula, almond slices) was an excellent choice. Every ingredient was fresh, the eggs were fluffy, and it was accompanied by a side salad and two large slices of multigrain bread. The other items were the artistically presented Avocado Salad (Avocado, tomato, onion crisp, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, arugula mixed salad, almond slices with balsamic glaze and sesame dressing) and the Toowoomba Shrimp Donkatsu (crispy, golden-fried cutlet smothered in a rich, creamy, and spicy Cajun Toowoomba sauce with shrimp, onions, and mushrooms, served alongside a half-portion of pasta). I was excited to finally order dinner after hearing good things, but my husband and I were unfortunately disappointed with the experience. We ordered takeout for dinner: Toowoomba Shrimp Pasta with Tonkatsu and the Spicy Original Tteokbokki (rice cakes) with Fried Kim-ma-ri (fried seaweed rolls). The shrimp pasta had good flavor but the portion was way too tiny. After only three or four bites, it was gone. There were about 4 pieces of shrimp in the entire dish and they could've added more pasta, given that it's not an expensive ingredient. The tonkatsu was also underwhelming. It was a small piece served in a large container that made the portion size look even more skimpy. I was also disappointed in the tteokbokki. It was mostly sauce with no egg and only a few pieces of fish cake, again served in a container that was far too large for the amount of food provided. The kim-ma-ri pieces were fine but also very small. Overall, the meal was underwhelming. For a total cost of nearly $50, the quantities were just way too small. We were left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry.
