It's a very cute place... the decor is sweet and light with flowers on the wall and friends gathering. We asked for a Cappuccino and a drip coffee... the answer was"No" to each. So we had to switch to a Latte and an Americano.... made by an automatic digital coffee machine! We could have done that at home! We had 2 Madeleines (Earl Grey & plain) and a blueberry muffin.... all were good and moist. Its focus seems to be flavored Iced Coffees and many were enjoying them.

Really cute cafe that's kind of a hidden gem! The decor is so cute and there's some spots to take cute pictures. Even the silverware is cute and matches the vibe. I appreciate the thought that went into the decor. I came for brunch on a Saturday. Just be warned their kitchen closes at 12:45pm and after that it's just premade baked goods, kimbap, and drinks. Not sure if that's everyday or just Saturday. I got the Egg Drop Brioche with sliced ham added. I'm glad I added the ham for that salty/meaty flavor but +$3 is a bit steep for just 2 thin slices. The scrambled eggs were very fluffy and not overcooked. The top bun is covered with condensed milk so it will make your hands all sticky- I recommend eating this with a fork and knife even though it's meant to be a sandwich. I also got the strawberry milk, which has real fresh strawberries in it. It costs over $5 but it comes in a little bottle that you can take home and reuse. I thought it was good but maybe not over $5 good... Seems like I could make it myself at home. Overall, cute spot to study or go on a date or just enjoy some brunch (if you get there in time)!

Heard about this new dessert place and about its latte & espresso variation - Korean style. The first issue was that there was one person every time (visited 3 times) whipping up the drinks, taking orders, & making shredded ice "bung-soo". The service was so slow, after trying many on the menu, I did not really see what the hype was about. They do bake & make everything on the spot, and the lady recommended we try the Madeline. It was OK

The place is cute. Big area for sitting and full of people. Some people come here to socialize and others to work. There is also food and teas. The reason for the lower score - no gluten free options for food. Service ok at best and the latte is a no for me. A machine makes the latte. All the 'barista' does is press a button and there we go. The taste just isn't there. Tastes like old brew to me. If you are looking for a place to chill, come visit. If you like coffee - it's a no.

Stopped by at Cafe LaLa on a Sunday and it was not too busy. They had a good variety of drinks and pastries. We ordered the strawberry ade and a cafe latte. We also tried the sweet potato madeleine and the owner was kind enough to gift us a chocolate cookie which was delicious. Everyone working was super nice. The vibe is very nice and nicely decorated as well. Totally recommend stopping by! I will definitely be returning to try the blue eggs and the other drinks.

Stopped by here one day just to get something to drink. I ended up getting the strawberry milk, which was so refreshing! I really enjoyed the bits of strawberries that were inside. I would definitely come back for this! Inside was very clean and elegant. I think it would be a good place to bring your laptop and do some work. They do have a parking lot as well.

We found this lovely place when we were looking for a brunch spot. They opened not too long ago. The inside is much bigger than it looked from the outside. Their menu is mainly breakfast/brunch items, which makes sense for a cafe. The menu is quite small, which is not always a bad thing. We ordered Espresso Einspänner, and Mocha Einspänner. These were delicious and delightful. The whipped cream was nice and velvety, not overly sweet, and went great with the coffee. Definitely will have this again. For food, we ordered LALA Toast, and LALA Breakfast. They come with regular coffee, but since we ordered the Einspänner, she gave us a small discount on the order. How thoughtful! The funny thing about LALA Toast is that it didn't come on a "toast," but it came on toasted buns. It had a mountain of cabbage slaw that had a slight kick to it, which I really enjoyed. The egg was overcooked in my opinion, a bit dry... Other than that, it was an interesting and unique breakfast sandwich. For LALA Breakfast, we got the eggs to be over-easy, and they came out perfect. The sausage was big and juicy, salad was fresh, and mushroom was nice too. Basically, everything on this plate was delicious! It was very filling too, great for a hungry customer. We also ordered cute little Madeleines: Red Bean and Sweet Potato. They were both very good, perfect little desserts that are elegantly sweet and very satisfying to you taste buds. At the end, we got to try Strawberry Milk thanks to generous manager/owner! It had loads of strawberry bits in there. It was soooo good! Had such amazing strawberry flavor, and made with just the right amount of sweetness. I can see that reason why this drink is so popular. Our first visit was a total success! The manager/owner was so kind and courteous. The food and drinks were all very high quality and delicious. We will definitely go back and try more of their menu in a near future.

Spicy tuna kimbap: the lady warned me and said it's spicy. It really is and it's sooooo good! I def will get more of this l Blue eggs: not worth it Einspanner: espresso- topped with house made whipped cream. It was good. I love drinking this hot cus the cold whipped cream and hot coffee :) Rose cake: it's not rose cake. It's like a cream bread shaped like a bread so they can charge you way more than a $3-5 cream bread. Also no rose taste. It's more a strawberry cream bread l. The cake is not cake it's like soft bread Purple sweet potato madeleine: good and has the sweet purple potato I would go and try something else and def get the spicy tuna kimbap Parking nearby and right in front

I love it when theres a new cafe in town! Spacious, clean, wide tables, good food and drinks! Good for study, groups, children. Limited parking in the front, parking lot in the back. Definitely worth another visit! Green tea cake - mostly cream, super matcha like Matcha Eispanner - interesting Strawberry milk - with real strawberries Mango milk - with real mangos Haven't tried the brunch menu yet! This cafe is perfect for my new years journaling, studying, working, or reading! Officially my new go to. The staff are extremely nice! Show this shop some love!

There's a new cafe in town! Great atmosphere and inside provides a good amount of tables. It's the perfect place to sit and pound away at your laptop doing work or a nice environment to chit chat with friends. The decoration was cute all around and there was even a Christmas corner for the holidays. Not to mention, the bathroom was a surprise - it's really big and nice in there. Today I just stopped by for some milk but there's a small menu to try other baked goods, bingsoo, and coffees, lattes, and brunch items.

This cafe is relatively new; the food was delicious and the strawberry milk was too! I ordered the Lala breakfast + coffee (included in meal) & strawberry milk. The breakfast was about $17 but it is a large plate of fresh breakfast items! You can definitely share this platter if you get full easily like me! The cafe itself was bright and spacious; you can definitely study or do work here!! There's also a nice shared parking area in the front and back! Overall, a great new cafe!

Yuja ade (left) & iced mocha einspanner
    Katy L.

We were in the area & looking for a cafe nearby to visit that had wifi & came across Cafe LaLa that looked relatively new. It's located in a strip mall ish line of stores that has parking in front (& I believe in back?). The store's interior is super cute & whimsical feeling. The menus (both paper and the mirror menu) didn't have prices which made it a little hard to decide but there were prices on the baked goods in the display case & on the items on the counter. I opted to get a mocha einspanner as I've always wanted to try an einspanner & my bf got the yuja/yuzu ade. For sweets we got the pound cake & purple sweet potato madeleines to try. -pound cake: a light sweetness that wasn't too sweet & moist, pretty good -purple sweet potato madeleines: tasty buttery cake that surrounds the moist purple sweet potato that was sweet but also not too sweet, very good, I enjoyed it a lot! It enhances the natural taste of the purple sweet potato. I liked it so much I bought two more to take with me -iced mocha einspanner: was good but I was unsure how to best drink it so I mixed the cream around (maybe blasphemous, I'm sorry) so the drink was sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Maybe a bit too much ice, there's lots of cream so when mixed into the coffee, the bitterness pairs well with the sweetness -yuja ade: I took a sip of my bf's drink & it had a strong citrusy taste I think fans of citrus would enjoy but it was a tad too sweet for me but my bf enjoyed it! (I usually have more of a sweet tooth while he doesn't). It's definitely a refreshing drink! There's plenty of seating & there's wifi as well so I saw a few people on laptops doing work. There's a code for the bathroom that's located in the back left & the soaps they use smell nice. We stayed for a few hours from around 4pm to 6:30 pm, near closing time (we came on a Saturday). As we were leaving, I went to order more of the sweet potato madeleines & the owner (?) asked me if I liked kimbap & I answered yeah ofc! She very kindly gave me one of the kimbaps on display (I believe it had tuna, egg, sausage) & told me that I have to eat it within today & not tomorrow. It was almost closing time so it was nice that she didn't want to waste the food & passed it to me to try. The kimbap was very tasty, I'd definitely come back to try more of the cafe's items. Across from the counter there's also a fridge with in house made drinks & cakes I believe? I didn't look closely at the fridge but am down to try more items. Overall it's a lovely cafe to spend some time, do work, catch up with friends, try some foods with a lovely owner/staff. There's also a few corners that would make for nice photo ops. Come check out this cute café!

Usually BYOB spots struggle to create the right ambiance, but this place has something special going on. We may have had a bit too much fun because we literally closed the place down with the staff. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend ordering a few appetizers and sharing them at the table because that is what we did and everything was deliciously decadent. The burrata was packed with flavor and the basil foam was impressive. The octopus with potatoes hit perfectly. I already know I need to go back for the crab empanadas and the short rib croquettes soon. For our mains, my wife and I shared the short rib yucca gnocchi and the lobster and ricotta ravioli. Amazingly tasty across the board. This place delivered from start to finish and we will definitely be returning.

We were left ignored for over 20 minutes after seating. Finally when the waiter arrived for a drink order we had asked for a coffee to start. That didn't arrive until almost another 25 minutes and were told the bar area was busy. The food itself wasn't amazing or memorable. Ordered the cauliflower app- the sauce was too watery and didn't coat or stick to the cauliflower. If it was thickened it would glaze the cauliflower and you could actually appreciate how good it was and the dish would be so much better. For the mains we ordered the salmon burger and lemon ricotta pancakes. Both were ok but nothing amazing. The worst part was the speakers playing a happy birthday song that was extremely loud that even 2 other tables looked confused and disturbed by it. It played for well over a few minutes. I can appreciate a party being celebrated but not at the expense of the patrons in the restaurant. Also just a heads up- they add a 2.5% service charge to the bill. Only noticed this because the table seated next to us shared this and were upset by it.

The restaurant has an interesting history. Even though the original opened in Cresskill, NJ, it unfortunately has permanently closed. However, not only is the Edgewater location amazing, but it had the guts to open during COVID (2022), survived, and is succeeding. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside. Their decorations are tasteful, the presentation of the food is award winning, and the service is stellar. I started with a Mocha Cappuccino and it was so good. Served in a large mug, an airy/creamy top, and had the perfect amount of mocha happiness throughout. Before the meal even started, we were graciously given Za'atar (a popular Middle Eastern spice blend with an earthy, tangy, and nutty flavor, toasted sesame seeds, and sumac, with salt). It was crunchy, drizzled with oil, and I enjoyed how each thin pita bite made the spices explode all over the table. The entrees were: Strawberry French Toast. The next was the Falafel Platter (chickpeas and fava bean balls, served with tahini sauce, pickles, turnips, tomato, and mint). The last selection was the Avocado Toast (Citrus cured salmon over multigrain bread, tomatoes, onions, capers & citrus vinaigrette). Not only were all of these dishes beautifully presented, but all were filling, as well. My Avocado Toast kept me full for the rest of the day and the salmon was enjoyably salty, thin, and delicious. I noticed a dessert in their display case and ordered it. The dessert was the Riz Bil Ashta (Lebanese rice cream, infused with orange blossom water, blended with milk and cheese, and topped with crushed pistachios). This dessert tasted like a regal custard and the pistachios added an enjoyable texture that makes it recommended. Of course, I had to cap the meal with a Mocchiato. This amazing beverage followed the rest of the meal..... delicious, eyes closed good, and every sip was full-flavored. Thank you, Madison Café and Grill, for presenting a memorable meal and I wish you continued success.

We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.
