    Mango cheese bingsu
    Uyen N.

I come across this place through Yelp and the presentation of the bingsu looks really pretty there. However, it looks like they don't do that pretty presentation anymore. It's kinda expensive but the portion is huge; like this 'small' size can feed 3-4 people. This one has mango, cheesecake bites, mochi, and condensed milk. The cheesecake bites can feel a bit too much after a couple bites.

Came here on a weekend and maybe because it was still a little early so it wasn't too busy. It's a cute little cafe with comfortable seating. I ordered their mango cheesecake bingsu and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The milk based bingsu was creamy, smooth and fluffy. The mangos were ripe and sweet. I didn't really care for the cheesecake as I thought it was a little too sweet and hard. I also didn't add the condensed milk as it also made it a little too sweet to my liking. The only down side is they make it fresh and maybe because it was still early and they are short of staff so I still waited a good 15-20mins for my order to arrive even though they weren't that busy. But I would still come back to try out other items on their menu.

Red bean shave ice and Strawberry shaved ice in cup - OK

We went for the shaved ice cream- it was just OK. It's cute inside but when it's busy it's a bit difficult to find seating. It was nice that they offered their shaved ice as the regular plate portion or in a cup portion; we chose the cup portion so that it's easier for the kids to eat but ofcourse my 5yr old still spilled it Parking is not that easy but we were able to find one on the street. They do offer parking spots in front of the place but they had no spots when we arrived. The mango shaved ice came with cheesecake cubes as well and it was good; so was the strawberry shaved ice and the original red bean. It's not the typical refreshing shaved ice but more on the creamier side. It was still good but I probably won't go back again. Note-a friend ordered the tiramisu shaved ice and said it was amazing. But I haven't tried it myself.

Tempted to give this place 4 stars because of slow service and lack of available parking, but giving it 5 stars to boost the business. Love their Bingsu's (milk-based Korean ice dessert), which says a lot for someone who's not normally much of a bingsu fan. However, be prepared to wait about 10-15 minutes or so for it! Interior is clean and modern. Seating availability is inconsistent, but mostly good. I was able to sit together with a group of 7 people, but also had a day I had difficulty finding seating for 2 people... Overall, I enjoy their bingsu (and shake) enough to keep coming here! Fav so far is their Mango Cheesecake Bingsu, and their Oreo Bingsu is a close second!

Fairly newish, we tried Miel after seeing photos on IG and was intrigued by the deconstructed bingsu. What can I say but the mango cheesecake bingsu is really good!!!!!we got the bowl ($16) and it was served on a platter shaped like a log, with 3 little side "dishes"- but those that would normally be served with bingsu : condensed milk, sweet red beans, and vanilla ice cream. The mango bingsu is flavored in the actual ice and not shaved ice with syrup. Creamy and very light and flaky. The bubble teas were ok, I don't think we would come here for those again, they were mid. But do come for their bingsu! Seating is spacious and clean, outdoor seating area is tight but clean as well. They also have coffees and pastries on the counter.

New cafe in the area - this use to be kudo society but they moved across the block lol. The table set up is very awkward - low coffee tables with lounge chairs - not sure how you're suppose to enjoy your food honestly. It's also just 1 person operating, doing the cashier work and making the stuff so you can only imagine it's very SLOW... Tried their mango cheese cake bing soo and it was tasty! It's basically a deconstructed bingsoo. Smaller portion than many other locations too

We came for the bingsoo, and it did not disappoint! We ordered their milk and red bean bingsoo which was perfect fluffy. I liked that they put the toppings like condensed milk on the side so we can adjust the sweetness level. For drinks we ordered their hot milk tea, hot mint chocolate latte, and hot caramel macchiato- all were delightful. Their cookies and cream bubble tea was just okay.

Miel is a unique cafe that offers Korean shaved ice, bing soo, coffee, and desserts. Came here after KBBQ dinner down the street and decided to give this place a try. We tried a milk flavored bing soo and a mango flavored bing soo. Both bing soos came with red bean, ice cream, and condense milk. The milk bing soo had a lighter taste than the mango, as expected, but was still good. The mango was my favorite out of the two. I would say I had a pretty solid & pleasant experience here, at Miel. The staff was super nice and gave great suggestions for flavors when we were contemplating what to get. The milk flavored bing soo definitely has a very subtle taste but I think if eaten together with the red bean, it makes for a great combo. Neither were too sweet and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Would come here again.

A nice cafe to chill on a hot day. Will come back for the threaded shaved milk dessert! Choco ice blended - so refreshing on a hot day Window like doors are open on two of the walls - they bring in so much natural light and sun. Comfy chairs, low tables. It's a small cafe but the vibe is just right. Parking is super limited though.

I wouldn't get the bingsoo, but maybe try some of the pastries. The bingsoo was a bit bland and did not have much toppings. We got the injeolmi in the larger size, but there wasn't much injeolmi powder on it. There wasn't anything layered in between either, and the condensed milk and red bean on the side wasn't enough. The cookie was pretty good though. It had a strong matcha flavor and filled with nuts.

Mango was amazing. So super flavorful and it really tasted like mangoes... the fresh mango could have been more ripe but it's not in season. I loved how the ice was shaved... such a sweet delicious dainty dessert. Good enough to share for two. Now I'm giving a mixed review because AT NO FAULT OF THE WORKER (who was working the hardest I ever saw of a teenager in a food establishment) this place is understaffed. There was one poor girl taking orders, ringing up orders and MAKING THEM. We were there for maybe 35-40 mins to wait - which for shaved ice on a weekday is crazy. The line started getting backed up and I was genuinely concerned for her. Owner should do better at staffing. I will repeat the girl working was AMAZING, I don't know how she did it. Great worker, but there's only so much one person can do. This is management issue. The dish she made despite being so busy was probably the best mango bingsu I've had in a while. So props to her for doing the best job!

Matcha bingsu. toppings from left to right: vanilla ice cream, sweetened red bean/mochi, sweetened condensed milk.

It's a very quaint space. I was craving some shaved ice and boy did it not disappoint. It was like a work of art! I got the matcha bingsu and it was so fluffy, creamy, and delicious! I loved how they put the toppings on the side so you can put as much/little as you want as you're eating. They also have a variety of specialty coffees to choose from! I got the sweet potato latte and it was tasty. I will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful afternoon hanging out at this cafe in their cozy arm chairs. Wonderful fluffy bingsoo is served with a trio of diy toppings on the side plus fresh fruit. The sandwiches were enormous, deliciously greasy and sweet and spicy and savory all at the same time. Try the black sesame latte, which isn't super sweet but still refreshing on a hot day. Nice service and cozy environment. The store is small so tables can get snatched up.

While deciding on what to order, the owner offered to make me a drink that was off the menu. How about a mixed one with strawberry, Matcha and coconut? Hey, if the boss is recommending it I'm all for it. My son got the ube and coconut. OMG, both drinks were so darn yummy. I am not an ube fan whatsoever, but my son insisted I take a sip. I have to say it was the best ube drink I have ever tried. The coconut mixed with the strawberry and matcha is a game changer. The teddy bear made of ice was so cute and makes for a cool IG pic. Whether you're with kids, on a family outing, hanging out with friends, or just looking to recharge solo, this spot is perfect for any occasion. Was it good? If you like your deserts on the sweeter side, yes it was. The shaved ice milk is richer than others I've had. The red bean paste is richer and very sweet. The mochi that is infused into the shaved ice adds texture as well as additional sweetness. The green tea ice cream is well, greet tea ice cream. And the Bungeoppang elevates higher. Is it my jam? Maybe not. A spoonful or too was enough. For what it is, amazing. I hear they have a mean Mango Bingsu that's seasonal, so yeah I'll be back!

While the menu is more expansive towards coffees, and drinks, accompanied by the usual suspects of desserts, they have two unusual items that drew my attention. First is the CROFFLE: Short for Croissant-Waffle. I didn't think anything of it but I was forced to buy it because they ran out of regular croissants. I was reluctant but she convinced me to try it! I don't get easily surprised but this homemade pastry is TO DIE FOR! It literally tastes like a croissant because it is made out of croissant dough but cooked like a waffle. This gives the crunchy effect of a waffle on the outside combined with a chewy inside that is made to order in a few minutes! You have a selection of eight sweet and three savory flavors to choose from but I like the plain with butter and may be some preserves, just like a warm flaky croissant. The second is the taiyaki in Japanese or boong-uh-bbang in Korean literally means goldfish bread because it is made in the shape of a large goldfish. The ambience is quaint, warm charming and somewhat nostalgic! Everything is clean and tidy too! The service is good and prompt. It is a little expensive, especially the goldfish bread ($4/piece; minimum of 4/order, so $16), but well worth the flavor explosion! This mini-cafe/desert place is a jewel and a find among the industrial giants that punch out the same -old, same-old and I recommend it highly, especially for the "Croffle" and the "Goldfish Bread!"
