I visited Belle Journée a few times when they first opened and definitely experienced some of their early growing pains. Service was a bit chaotic--my iced lattes were very inconsistent (sometimes packed with ice, other times barely any, and the same went for the milk ratios). I also had an instance where I waited 15 minutes for a drink they said was in the queue but they lost the ticket and was never going to be made, and my friend was overcharged but the cashier didn't know why it was ringing up wrong and didn't know how to fix either . However, the space itself has always been a major highlight: it is incredibly bright, airy, and very comfortable to sit in. On my most recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised to see they've expanded into a full food menu offering Tteokbokki, pasta, salads, and more. They are right on trend with a great variety of salt breads, which I thought were pretty good, and their rice donuts are quite nice as well. It seems like they are finding their footing and are worth checking out for the food and the vibe.

Our first reaction to seeing this newcomer to an area already packed with more than half a dozen korean bakeries was, what could they possibly offer that other nearby bakeries don't? We don't hang out at bakeries much anymore, so I'll let the food speak for itself. The mango butter cream bread slice was refreshing with a hint of mango both in the bread and the cream filling. Their red bean bread was better than the red bean bun I got the day before from Paris Baguette. The whole bean paste/filling had a fuller flavour, and that's ultimately what set Belle's apart. The walnut chocolate chip cookie was chocolate-y, nutty delight and the only regret is that we for only one of them. The creme brulee doughnut had a nice custard filling but would work much better as a custard cream bun than what it's sold as, as the icing really detracts from an overall experience. Staff have been quick, efficient, and 'practically' friendly so far, and the ambience is modern casual airy comfy. I hope they continue to improve and innovate.

There is no shortage of cafes or bakeries in this area at all. Belle Journée sets itself apart with its wide selection of pastries, and fresh takes on staples you'll find at many other Asian bakeries. I appreciate that the display tags show the time each item was made. This helped narrow down decisions for me as I wanted to grab everything! The pastries we selected were allllll delicious. Truly. There is plenty of seating, and they also serve a separate brunch menu which I'll be returning to sample. I've also tried a few different cakes from here at family functions, and they're all beautiful with innovative flavors. They're not too sweet and are light and fluffy. I dare say this is my new favorite bakery in Pal Park.

Came here a couple of times for coffee and bread. Tried the salt bread since it's their specialty. crispy on outside soft on inside. Taste is like standard milk bread. Nice local bakery the inside is clean and decorated nicely.

I love Korean bakeries. They always have that mix of cozy chill ambiance and lovely Koreanified French pastries that you'd want for an hour of productivity or a lingering catch-up session with a friend. This is the second Belle Journee location I've visited (the other is in Ridgefield Park, which is like a Belle Journee Lite - smaller selection, no sit down space). I love this spot a lot better. It's incredibly bright and airy, with an attractive display of goods on one side and a generous seating space on the other. My husband and I have aimed to try something new on each visit, and nothing's ever disappointed. The pastries are always light, delicate, and in that coveted not-so-sweet space that Asians prefer when it comes to desserts and breads. My favorite is always the peanut butter creme bread, a nostalgic fave from my childhood but also an objectively delicious offering. It's got a smattering of peanuts on the top of a split bun, with a generous amount of an airy peanut butter spread. In the refrigerated sections, they have ready made sandwiches, bottled drinks, and a variety of celebration cakes that I imagine would be at the similar caliber and price point of any Korean bakery. We usually take our goodies to go, but we opted to sit in on a recent visit and noticed the menu placards with all their hot, savory brunch options. I never knew they had such an option, but definitely something to keep in mind if you're into the cafe vibes but hungrier for a meal than breads.

Bakery & cafe, Palisades Park, NJ This new bakery was very spacious and clean. I picked up twisted donuts and sober bread to go. Both tasted good but too much sugar in twisted donuts. I would like to come back and try their brunch menu. The cashier was friendly and explained about the pre-order Thanksgiving promotion. I would like to also try out their Princeton location bakery.

Been here multiple times. The first time I came here was because I was around the area, wanted coffee and wanted to try a new spot. I checked out the reviews and noticed some 1 stars but their complaints were not honoring a $1 drink and for not having dogs allowed inside. Chill... lol we're the drinks and pastries good tho? The place was bright and big. I had gotten the sweet pastries, savory pastries and their cakes and all were really good. I appreciated the staff member's recommendation on the cakes, get the mango cake slice and cheesecake. Plenty of seats to eat and do work. They have brunch which is something I'll try out. Highly recommend this spot if you want to bring a date or enjoy with family or just want coffee. * Open late * Street parking * Fair prices * Helpful staff

The variety was outstanding! So many options! Wonderful service! Very clean and beautiful simplistic decor. I haven't mention their Brunch menu. Amazing selections and the taste was outstanding! Definitely recommend this place. Parking wasn't easy but there was a parking lot in the back. I didn't see that until we were leaving though.

Came to visit on a Sunday and it was a pretty full - I actually had to wait for a table to open up! Glad to see that there's good business after the grand opening was just a few months ago. The space is really open and there's a lot of tables with modern decor. I love bingsu and saw that it was on the menu so I decided to be adventurous and tried the crème brûlée one! For $15 it came in a smaller bowl - good to share for 2-3 people. It had this dalgona like sprinkle on top which gave it a crunchy texture, the shaved milk was very creamy and on the bottom there's a layer of custard. I just wished the portion was bigger for the price. There were also samples being passed around - strawberry, mango and raspberry! Appreciated the delicious tastings!

We recently visited their Flagship store at Para slide park. Belle Journee" is a French-Asian inspired bakery in New Jersey. The name itself, "Belle Journee" is French for "Beautiful day". While the name and the initial concept of the bakery are French-inspired. The bakery combines French baking techniques with Asian (particularly Korean) flavors and ingredients. The stores offers brunch from 9 am-3 pm daily. Also offers coffees, sandwiches, milk teas ,Bingsu, smoothies, and other beverages in addition to baked goods. We tried their brunch menu Cajun pasta with chicken Shakshuka Blueberry smoothie Iced caramel latte Pistachio ganache tart Pistachio chocolate croissant Spinach feta pastry Almond bun It is an ultimate French-Korean bakery experience. Indulge in their exquisite pastries, slices of bread, and signature drinks, warm breads, stunning cakes and expertly brewed drinks. Must visit ... Absolutely loved it

I enjoyed the pastries from this place, although I have never been here. Everything has a soft filling, which was very nice. I liked the chocolate croissant the most, which was filled with chocolate and another sauce. I would definitely come back and try different items.

The quality of a bakery's bread should determine its overall rating. The Belle Journée French Toast stands out as one of the finest I have ever tasted. The toast features a delicate and tender interior, complemented by a crispy exterior. The maple syrup harmoniously pairs with a subtle hint of spiciness. The quantity of three toasts is substantial. This bakery offers an unusual menu -the tteonokkie is surprisingly delicious. The rice cakes are shorter than the typical size, making them ideal for a single bite. The interior has a pleasant ambiance, featuring various pieces of furniture, including a cozy nook near the pickup area. The white subway tiles are elegantly arranged with geometric tiles at the columns and feature wall. Although the price range appears to be higher compared to other bakeries in the vicinity, I must express my satisfaction with the quality of the breads, which have exceeded my expectations. I hope this bakery maintains its unique atmosphere and remains open to all generations. It should accommodate a diverse clientele, including large groups of elderly individuals, students seeking a study space, and busy office workers who need to grab a quick bite without being tied down by a specific age group which happens to many restaurants in Palisades Park.

Belle Journée is a bright, airy new addition to Palisades Park, NJ--and it already feels like a local favorite. The space is spotless with plenty of seating, free Wi-Fi, and a young crowd tapping away on laptops, giving it a lively café energy. The pastry case is a dream: from classic croissants to more adventurous bites like asparagus-bacon pastries, corn-cheese-mayo buns, and red bean butter croissants. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, even offering free dessert samples--don't miss the mango one. We loved the Cinnabon, packed with cinnamon flavor and refreshingly light on frosting. Paired with an iced matcha latte, it made for the perfect evening treat. Opened in June 2025, Belle Journée already stands out in a competitive area. They're also offering a free drink when you leave a review--an easy yes for a spot this good. Belle Journée310 Broad Ave, Palisades Park, NJ 07660201-559-3376

Good. Pastries were good, drinks were decent. I'd probably come back if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

While deciding on what to order, the owner offered to make me a drink that was off the menu. How about a mixed one with strawberry, Matcha and coconut? Hey, if the boss is recommending it I'm all for it. My son got the ube and coconut. OMG, both drinks were so darn yummy. I am not an ube fan whatsoever, but my son insisted I take a sip. I have to say it was the best ube drink I have ever tried. The coconut mixed with the strawberry and matcha is a game changer. The teddy bear made of ice was so cute and makes for a cool IG pic. The owner was sweet enough to ask if we liked it. I gave her the thumbs up and said they were excellent and that we will be back. Oddly they also serve pho here, it's not a restaurant per se. We didn't have any so I can't comment. But definitely come for these yummy Vietnamese concoctions. Street meter parking only.

Imagine our delight when we found this place on Yelp. This is huge for coffee lovers. Most of their beans are single-origin, and while some may be a little nervous that it's next to a gas station, rest assured, it will be one of the best coffees you will ever enjoy. Bold statement, but a true statement. Seating is very limited. One side has four seats at a long bench table, while the other side offers two seats. There was also a table with a few chairs outside. This place has espresso drinks, coffee, a limited tea selection (tea bags, not loose leaf), banana bread, croissants, and other various baked items. We had a buttery croissant and banana bread -- both were heated up and outstanding!! The coffee beans are roasted in-house, and they also offer coffee on tap. It turns out they have several locations, and they all roast their own beans on-site. You can also purchase beans to grind at home, should you choose. Parking is tight but free. They do have a bathroom if you need to use it, and the baristas who work there are all experts at making coffee. They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and are great to chat with about their beans when the place is at a rare slow time. They are dedicated to their craft. Anytime we are nearby, this will be the only place we will be stopping for a supreme cup of java. My biggest regret: not purchasing a bag to take home. The Roast'd Legender is calling out to me.

I noticed that Mavi's has installed wall mounted televisions, which scroll menu items, specials, and upcoming events. This was my first time ordering from their brunch menu and it was outstanding. My Western Omelette (ham, onion, mushroom, pepper, egg, potato, arugula, almond slices) was an excellent choice. Every ingredient was fresh, the eggs were fluffy, and it was accompanied by a side salad and two large slices of multigrain bread. The other items were the artistically presented Avocado Salad (Avocado, tomato, onion crisp, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, arugula mixed salad, almond slices with balsamic glaze and sesame dressing) and the Toowoomba Shrimp Donkatsu (crispy, golden-fried cutlet smothered in a rich, creamy, and spicy Cajun Toowoomba sauce with shrimp, onions, and mushrooms, served alongside a half-portion of pasta). This dish is succulent, creamy, pleasantly spicy, and thoroughly enjoyed. I was excited to finally order dinner after hearing good things, but my husband and I were unfortunately disappointed with the experience. We ordered takeout for dinner: Toowoomba Shrimp Pasta with Tonkatsu and the Spicy Original Tteokbokki (rice cakes) with Fried Kim-ma-ri (fried seaweed rolls). The shrimp pasta had good flavor but the portion was way too tiny. After only three or four bites, it was gone. There were about 4 pieces of shrimp in the entire dish and they could've added more pasta, given that it's not an expensive ingredient. The tonkatsu was also underwhelming. It was a small piece served in a large container that made the portion size look even more skimpy. I was also disappointed in the tteokbokki. It was mostly sauce with no egg and only a few pieces of fish cake, again served in a container that was far too large for the amount of food provided. The kim-ma-ri pieces were fine but also very small. Overall, the meal was underwhelming. For a total cost of nearly $50, the quantities were just way too small. We were left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry.
