The ambience "looked" good with windows and spacious layout..... BUT. Everyone .... About 80% of those were all seated with laptops. Each person using the whole table. Since it's my first time at this specific location, I am not what the deal is with people taking up the whole table with a laptop, maybe it was the crazy weather over the July 4th weekend... But, it seemed quite awkward. The bakery selection had "focaccia" variety which was different from other D'avant. We loved the prosciutto & cream cheese focaccia. Layout is a little weird, people make a line to the registers in between the 2 food display aisles which makes it hard to browse. Come here and pick up a big everything focaccia square and take it to go, pretend like you're going to bring it home to your family and then when you get in your car just start eating it. Bakery @ Edgewater, NJ Bakery with a spacious seating and a parking in the back. There were variety of pastries, cake, sandwiches, bread and drinks. We loved their grapefruit earlgrey cake. First time trying out D'avant Bakery in Edgewater. From breads to sandwiches and desserts, there are plenty of options. The menu also includes cakes and a plethora of teas to try. My family and I enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches especially. There's a mixed amount of seating and it can get packed rather quickly. Industrial type of decor and spacious. My cappuccino was good. I prefer Paris Baguette's coffee. Overall, a nice coffee spot to do work and enjoy a sweet treat or sandwich. read more

So glad this bakery made to the neighborhood and that too at the walking distance. Great addition to the cafe culture of the town. This Korean bakery has a wide variety of savory and sweet bakery items to select from. Tried a couple of things so far - scallion crème cheese focaccia and mocha cream bread. The focaccia is so light and airy - absolutely loved it! The coffee flavor of mocha cream bread is amazing. The place is nicely done - clean, modern and inviting! They have parking for their customers. Very nice, clean space with large aisles. GREAT customer service - there were a lot of drinks that were new and interesting. One of the cashiers took the time to explain and answer all my questions with patience - THANK YOU. I got: - almond croissant - blueberry scone - cinnamon sugar croissant roll Everything tasted very yummy, but the star of this trio was the cinnamon sugar croissant roll. WOW. Just WOW. Not sure when this location opened up, but after seeing the sign, from the road when driving to Whole Foods, we stopped in for a mid-day treat. Thinking it was just sweet stuff, but were we surprised upon entry. D'Avant has everything from savory sandwiches, breads, wild looking treats, cakes, drinks; too much to list. They also sell handmade pottery. Parking lot is huge, so there are no excuses to not stop in. Eat in, or take the stuff home ! read more

Unique assortment of Korean-inspired pastries, pleasant atmosphere with modern furnishings, and friendly service. We selected an array of items - a bun, a cookie, a pastry and sat to enjoy them at one of the smaller tables. There is one large table, great for a group gathering. While the ube cookie didn't have a noticeably ube flavor, it was a pretty purple hue and very fresh. Next time here, we will be sure to pick up a cake to try. read more

Good amount of seating and delicious pastries! We really loved the Lox Focaccia. The Focaccia was so light and airy and the filling was so great. They have their own private parking lot in the back. Excited that D'avant is in Edgewater since I frequent the Fairview location. Easy parking and convenient location. Their menu is slightly different but still delicious. I got the Nutella rolled croissant and it was just as good as my favorite pistachio version. Pricing is about 15-20% higher than the Fairview location. I wish this location would sell more of the savory pastries like croquettes and bulgogi focaccia but there is a larger selection of sandwiches to select from. The dining area is well laid out and inviting. Looking forward to my future trips here! read more

I like this new location as it's much more convenient. It has a European industrial chic vibe - you can tell it's Korean unless you've been to their other locations. After trying a bunch of things, my favorites are: - Sea Salt Butter Bread - but it's not consistently great every single time. I want that subtle crunch. - Strawberry Cloud Hojicha iced drink. There is a parking lot. There are lots of seating options. The bathroom is clean. The service is standard. It really annoys me when the cashier doesn't let me send a receipt to myself and x's out of the screen. They seem to have chilled out with doing that. read more

I love this bakery but they aren't careful enough with their signs. They had two cookies out, only one was labeled as having walnuts. My son bought the other and ended up chugging Benadryl and prepping an EpiPen just in case. Luckily he only has a mild reaction and only had a bite. They are delicious but just be careful. read more

I was told to leave because my baby was crying and it was too noisy. In six years of raising two children, not a single café or restaurant has ever said anything like that to me -- I was absolutely shocked. I will never come back, and I will not be recommending this place to anyone. The staff here has always been terribly unfriendly, but I put up with it because the food tasted good. However, this time it was truly unacceptable, and I am deeply disappointed. Everyone, please avoid this place and head to one of the other wonderful neighborhood cafés instead. read more

D'avant is a very open and casual bakery and cafe. Very nice ambiance but ALL of the food is out in the open and accessible to everyone to touch. As a germaphobe, I don't like that at all!!! Additionally, the cashiers all wear latex gloves that they don't change when touching the food and the money. That's pretty disgusting and not hygienic. Typically in a post Covid environment, a cleaner establishment would require the staff to wear one glove to handle the food with one hand and their other hand to handle the money. Using the same glove to handle both things is disgraceful--especially at these prices. I should add that everything in D'avant is pretty pricey. However, I highly recommend their signature item called The Cloud. It was light and delicious!!! NOTE: when I called the manager afterwards to report this misstep, she seemed extremely disinterested. So I can only assume that this is their standard dirty practice; so nothing will change. If that's the case, then I won't return. read more

I'm a huge fan of Davant so I went to the opening and I love the space but was surprised to see that they don't offer standard Korean bakery breads (basically nothing with red bean, custard, or cream) and looks like they're catering to a non-Korean audience. The pastries they do offer are very rich and tasty so we'll be coming back for more! read more

Limited selection, blah bakes, especially savory ones, very salty but the worst part is the incredibly unfriendly staff (and it was very quiet) literally raised their voice at us. This bakery seems to have just opened (December 2025). It's very clean and brightly lit, with lots of seating, and friendly service. We purchased two sandwiches, both of which were excellent, and a dessert tart, which was also excellent. So we plan to return. Prices are not low, but everything was worth the cost. read more
