Stopped in for a quick pick me up. It was quite late in the evening around 7:30pm so I assume the selection was less than usual. I'm gluten intolerant, so I'm happy to report that they had a gluten friendly treat: autumn cake. It was made of almond and hazelnut flour; shaped like a leaf. It was perfectly sweetened with honey and had a moist cake texture. I just wished I had ordered a latte to go with it because it was a simple yet delicious snack. Price was on the higher side at $3.95 but expected for a nice bakery and for a gluten friendly option. Other gluten friendly options were an Asian swiss roll (made of rice flour) and a large variety of macarons (made with almond flour). Interior has a good amount of seating and seems pretty clean. If you're in the area looking for a cute hangout spot or a place to work remote, I'd recommend Blue Angel! read more

It's been a while since coming here, and I'm super impressed. I for the passion fruit bubble tea and it's really good. It's sweet with a little tart to it. And the savory pastries are delicious. I recommend the coquette (original) and the sausage and tomato one (I think) was super flavorful. The service was quick, but it can get super busy. Blue Angel has been our favorite bakery in Fort Lee for years. We wish their coffee was better (therefore one star off, I would have taken half a star off if I could) but their pastries are always yummy and the atmosphere is precious. It feels so homely and local. And always very busy. A big highlight of Blue Angel is their cakes, especially mousse cakes. They are not overly sweet which makes them quite unique in Northern NJ. I can't claim I have tasted every cake at every bakery around here, but Blue Angel cakes are the least sweet of all I have tasted. A real joy. read more

This cafe bakery sits nestled between BCD Tofu House, Sa Rit Gol, and an AYCE Shabu House, so it's bound to be lively.When we entered, there were many pre-packaged Korean baked goods, along with whole cakes for any occasion and slices if you don't need a full cake. They also offer bubble tea, but unfortunately, they were out of tapioca pearls the night we visited, much to my husband chagrin. We browsed for a while and ended up ordering a slice of blueberry cake and a slice of green tea cake. Unfortunately, the cakes weren't quite to our taste. The green tea cake, despite mentioning they use matcha powder, lacked any real green tea flavor.The sweetness overpowered it completely. The blueberry cake was more reminiscent of a blueberry muffin, and again, a bit too sweet for us. It might be perfect for someone with a strong sweet tooth, but ours leans milder. Since they were out of tapioca pearls, my husband opted for an Orange Blossom Fleur D'oranger tea, while I settled for a Black Soy Bean latte. Both drinks were okay, but again, a touch sweeter than we'd prefer. The Black soy bean latte had beans in it to give it a more nutty profile. Unfortunately, the cashier informed me they couldn't adjust the sugar level for my latte. While the cakes and drinks weren't quite a hit for us, we'll definitely be back to try other baked goods and beverages. Maybe it was just a matter of picking the wrong things this time. We found the cashiers were friendly. However, it was quite crowded during our visit, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. It looked like they weren't able to keep up with cleaning tables. The curry pan or original pan is a classic that is in a warming station all the way to the left. They have a matcha croissant and mocha bread. Drinks: We like their tea lattes or regular lattes but their boba drinks are also a hit. It is a big menu so check it out. Rewards: Sign up for a rewards system if you come with your phone number. Our family loves croquettes and these are the best we have ever had by a long shot. They came in three different varieties: original, curry, and cabbage filled. Loved the contrast of the cool crunchy cabbage against the soft fluffy interior of the dough. The taro milk tea was not good and was definitely made with some sort of artificial powder. However, you go for the baked goods, right? We tried a lot of items that we've never had before. Sorry that we ate them before taking pictures. The store was very clean. Half the staff was very friendly; Half didn't want to be bothered. Tip: Don't pay for metered street parking like we did. This is a good Korean bakery to check out if you're tired of going to Paris baguette. They have a different selection of baked goods both sweet and savory. My favorite has been the green bean bread which has a mochi-like texture and a mellow sweetness. Unfortunately it's not always available and the last few times I've been there I have not been able to find it. I have tried some other pastries as well and they all taste great and the sweetness is just right. If there is a chance, I would like to buy some of their cakes next time as well. Full of koreans from church, post dinner folks, there always seems to be a crowd here. This review is related to the business owner. My son responded to an advertisement relating to employment at the Hoboken location. He is a student at stevens and was looking for part time work. Mike from blue angel asked to meet with him yesterday at 11. My son drove an hour (living at home over the summer) to meet with him at the noted time. He arrived on time and was told that Mike didn't have time to interview him and to maybe come back around 12. No problem. My son went to grab lunch while he waited. He texted Mike and told him he would wait until he was ready but if today was no longer good he would be happy to do a virtual interview (keeping in mind he drove 2 hours round trip). 24 hours later and Mike nor anyone texted him. We got a big handful of different pastries at this bakery and I was monching on 4 star desserts until I bit into THE red bean cream buns. These buns are what bumped this place to 5 stars. They were THAT good. The regular cream was great, but the STRAWBERRY CREAM, Y'ALL. I'm salivating. I'm tearing up. It was so good. The bread was chewy, the cream melted in your mouth, and the red bean that layered the bottom gave it a different texture and flavor. It was the perfect lil pastry and I already want more. We also got the Almond Castella, Green Tea Swirl Cake, Red Bean Bites, and Soborro Bun. The castella was as castellas usually taste (not a bad thing!)-- dense and slightly sweet. I expected some almond flavor in the cake, but there were only almonds on top. Green tea cake was great, and the cream inside was similar to the one in the red bean bun (LOVE). Custard bun- love love love, for the price and generous amount of custard inside, it's a must try! Black iced coffee is soooo good compared to Starbucks ice coffee. It's not diluted, the balance hits just the right notes. The strawberry pastry is hella huge and beautiful ($4.50 is a steal)- my stomach will cry later. The red bean and fresh cream bun is tiny compared to the other pastries. I enjoyed it. Fresh cream was good! The prices were reasonable and seemed to be cheaper than Paris Baguette. There also was a lot of parking since the parking lot is quite large.
