    Okunomatsu Ginjo sake

A decent place to have a conversation and dinner with buddies: -Sake: Dassai 45 & Okunomatsu Ginjo are good - 4/5. No sake glass, just soju glass :( -Food: Gyuza, Hamachi Kama & Stone Pot Beef Fried Rice - 4/5 -Ambiance: Nothing special, but quite and cozy - 4/5 -Service: They are very attentive - 4/5 -Parking: Street parking is limited I would definitely come back.

The trendy, dim, "Instagramable" ambiance is the best thing about this place and everything else falls short. I don't recommend coming here if you're really hungry. They serve tapas/small dishes but the portion sizes are tiny. The prices are way too high for the quality and portion. I can only recommend coming here for their daily happy hour 5-8pm as a pre or post dinner snack. But don't expect much... We ordered: Pan fried pork gyoza (6 pieces) $7 - Tasted like cheap frozen dumplings you can buy at a supermarket. Spam musubi (3 pieces) $10 - Basically a thin slice of spam slabbed onto a huge chunk of white rice with a tiny smidge of mayo in between. Nothing special. Eel and avocado roll (8 pieces) $10 - It's almost disrespectful for them to charge $10 for this LOL. Even the five star sushi restaurants don't charge that much for a basic roll. The pieces are tiny and mostly avocado with very little eel. Green tea mochi ice cream (2 pieces) $7 - Average but not worth $7. White Peach cocktail $12 - There was barely any alcohol in this. It tasted like peach syrup with tons of sugar. We had to flag down servers for anything we needed. No one checked on us. Nah. I don't care about your trendy aesthetic or EDM music if your food, drinks, and service are below average.

It was late ,Music is good on a Saturday night. The food was good. Great for the late-night snack. Way better than fast-food.

Going inside raku Izakaya actually impressed me since it looks a lot fancier inside than what you would expect! We ordered a number of things since they're known for the small plates so they are meant to be shared but don't expect to be full. Def order drinks to compliment Kind of sad that they don't have skewers anymore! We ordered: Deep fried Squid legs 4/5 KARAGE 4/5 Raku special roll 4/5 Spider roll 3/5 Sliced Steak with garlic Chip 4.5/5 Avocado salmon salad 3/5 Garlic shrimp 4/5 Deep fried shishito peppers 4/5 French fries 4/5 Everything came out super quick and it was piping hot!!

Their Japanese house hot sake was not great, not so good quality at all.. and tuna tartare was salty and they only give two crackers to go along with it, disappointed. Their tempura udon goes well with special roll though. Limited parking spot. Not a good service.

The food is absolutely delightful, and I can confidently say this is going to be my go-to place to eat. Highly recommend trying their menu!

Overall that the food was good and they had awesome happy hour deals on a Saturday! How can anyone complain. At 6pm on a Sunday they were pretty empty cause it seems like the crowd usually starts later so if you don't have a reservation if you got early you should be okay. We got a bunch of tapas to share and a pitcher of beer and sake because the happy hour deals were too good to get two beers and a small sake.

Always great food and ambiance Awesome happy hour until 8pm. They have sapporo on draft Can enjoy both korean and japanese food here and they have the best chicken gizzard in town. Been there twice in a week and a half and always, enjoyable

Food was great! Ordered the cod, delicious ! My friend got the clams, it was a big bowl. Plenty of options here, sushi, noodles ... Ambience is lively on a Friday night. Would go back again.

Came here with friends on a saturday night. I like the music they play here. Pretty housey, and contemporary for edm lovers and the food satisfied just the same. We ordered an assortment of rolls which were all fresh, and well executed. They had well rounded flavors. We also ordered the chicken karrage which was crunchy, well seasoned, and came with a soy sauce with korean chili flakes. Lastly we ordered a deep fried soft shell crab which was amazing. Super crunchy and juicy. Service was also really good for a place that packed on a saturday night. Cheers!

Excellent food! This place has the best beef teriyaki I have ever had! Their corn cheese appetizer is delicious too. This is good for dine-in or take out. Food quality is the same. But the vibe inside is great for a date night! I would just recommend they have more cocktail options!

Rather than continue the stressful drive, we decided to take the next exit and find a nearby restaurant and La Noma Italian Steakhouse stood out as an upscale restaurant option. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance makes an impression. The space is upscale, chic, modern, and sophisticated, with warm neutral tones of crème and brown throughout. The ceilings, artwork, and architectural details all give the restaurant an elegant feel. We started with the seared octopus, which came in second to the grilled octopus from our favorite Mediterranean restaurant (we are particular about grilled octopus, so this is a compliment). We also split the Bone Marrow Bolognese. I personally enjoyed it, though my husband wasn't quite as impressed. For dessert, we ordered the Cremosa, made with passion fruit purée and white chocolate cremosa, and we both loved it. The wine and champagne selection was top notch. As a certified sommelier, I especially appreciated the curated options and variety available. Overall, I gave La Noma 4 stars because while I enjoyed the meal, my husband didn't love the pasta dish as much as I did. That said, we both agreed this is absolutely a must-visit spot before or after a movie at the nearby iPic Theater. Between the ambiance, attentive service, extensive wine and champagne list, and diverse menu options, this is definitely a restaurant we'll return to. To be considerate of the staff and timing, we looked over the menu on the way there so we would be ready to order immediately upon being seated. However, after being seated and brought water, it took nearly 20 minutes before a server even came to our table to provide the complimentary bread and take our order. It's also important to note that this was one of the last reservation slots of the night, and there were only about 4-5 occupied tables in the restaurant. Two of those tables seemed to just be there for drinks, yet every other table was being attended to and served regularly while our table was overlooked. We were the youngest of all the tables and dressed accordingly and they seemed to pay more attention to the table of men in button ups and suits. According to other reviews, seems like this isn't the first time they pick and choose who they want to provide good service for. We ordered a good amount of food which are shown in the pics below to be shared with 2 of my close friends and myself. Props to the bartender, the Espresso Martini from here has to be one of the best we've tried!! We ordered the steak Medium Rare, and received it back perfectly cooked. It was seasoned well but wish it came with a more generous serving of the veggies, The Oysters tasted very fresh and sweet which we also loved! Pastas were very flavorful but definitely way over priced for a serving enough for just one person unless you're planning to share everything family style. Ambiance of place is very nice and aesthetic and was pleased with the food, the only reason why this place is getting a 3/5 star is because of the service we had received. Note: They also add auto gratuity of 20%... which is another reason. For that I expect better service than what we received... it felt like there was little incentive to provide quality service when the tip was already guaranteed regardless of the overall experience. Hopefully next time we come back we will receive way better attentiveness.

Established in 1969 on the site of the former Bicycle Club, Giovanni's Bicycle Club features irresistible flavors of Italian cuisine from family recipes using the finest ingredients. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable but was not necessary on a Sunday. Upon entering this two-story building, my partner and I were greeted by the host, and a few patrons were enjoying their meal on two enclosed outside patio decks with fans in the summer, so we joined them. The windows could be raised for that inclement weather, and heaters turned on when needed. They do have a main dining room, with the front bar much fancier. A few small bicycle artifacts make the place memorable and unique. We decided on the Philly Cheesesteak and Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad. Complimentary bread with dipping oil started our meal. The food was tasty with a healthy portion. The price was a bit pricey. The service was friendly; our server was Buket. We could recommend this place.

What service? The bartender made cameos behind the bar at random intervals. Most of the time, she was nowhere to be found. The bar was littered with empty glasses that sat there for the duration. I had to hunt her down for the check. I also didn't care for the location of the men's bathroom; literally right next to the bar. We also had to move our seats once because the opposite side of bar near the men's room was right next to the front door. It was freezing and the couple next to us had their coats on the entire time. They do have a bar area as Izakaya's are meant for late night eats / drinking with friends and family. Overall, the food is very okay for the price you are paying because it's competing with other pochas around the area. I prefer great food paired with drinks especially when it comes to skewers. Caveat is that this place serves fresh fish according to other people, but I did not get the sashimi, so don't take my word on that. Food - Skewers are either bland or straight up okay. I don't think the short rib skewer is worth it at all. It was incredibly tough when for a short rib, it should be tender. Pork belly was okay, a little tough as well. Nothing that really stands out especially for $33. it was 33 dollars for 7 skewers (4/10) Takoyaki $10 - 6 pieces were not bad. It's pretty standard, nothing too crazy. You can't go wrong with it. It's cooked more like a korean style takoyaki as it is crispier on the outside. (5.5/10) The best food was the spicy cod udon, it was decently pricey around 20-30 dollars but a decent portion. While it is the best tasting of their menu, it was still just above average. I'm expecting good quality at $20-30 so this is passable. Only gripes would be that the sauce was too watery for an alfredo. Good late night snack though (6.5/10) Service (4/5) - Service was not bad, it's more of a private booth that my friend received. You can just sit down and talk to your friends after getting food and drinks. There is a button to ring the server. Plenty of open space as well. You will have to ring them for any refills as it is a more private experience due to the izakaya nature and setup of the establishment. It's not a bad spot if you need a late night craving, but I wouldn't have high expectations for the food quality. The price could be a lot better unless the quality /quantity is changed.
