We went for Friday Happy Hour (3 - 6pm) for the first time. Parking garage was easy - and free (restaurant validates) We were greeted by an elegant hostess and kindly directed to the Bar or High tops.... we like the bar so we can make new friends. The Bartender (Carolina) was attentive and lively and made a great Manhattan! We tried several food items (see pictures) and each one was delightful - tasty and nicely presented. We met some great people and the GM also greeted us as we left (dressed impeccably & very professional) If you're looking for a wonderful Happy Hour... this one is great! Will return!

Accolades end there... We ordered drinks and appetizers and waited. We received 2 drinks, waited forever for the next 2, and the oysters (Bluepoint) came simultaneously. We continued to wait for the wings - garlic/parmesan wings. We placed our food order - still waiting for the wings. Time passed, literally 1 hour - we timed it by the parking meter -before the wings came, midway through the entrees. The manager apologized and said he would remove it from the bill; the wings were partially cooked and showed up on the bill! He removed it, and we waited again for at least 10 more minutes for the new bill and the takeout box I'd asked for. The oysters were ok. There was a lot of the confit lemon aioli on the lump crab sliders, but it wasn't that flavorful. The fries would've been the best part of the meal, but they were extremely greasy (photos uploaded). If you're only looking for good drinks and a cool spot to watch sports, go here, but the food and service left much to be desired.

Rather than continue the stressful drive, we decided to take the next exit and find a nearby restaurant and La Noma Italian Steakhouse stood out as an upscale restaurant option. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance makes an impression. The space is upscale, chic, modern, and sophisticated, with warm neutral tones of crème and brown throughout. The ceilings, artwork, and architectural details all give the restaurant an elegant feel. We started with the seared octopus, which came in second to the grilled octopus from our favorite Mediterranean restaurant (we are particular about grilled octopus, so this is a compliment). We also split the Bone Marrow Bolognese. I personally enjoyed it, though my husband wasn't quite as impressed. For dessert, we ordered the Cremosa, made with passion fruit purée and white chocolate cremosa, and we both loved it. The wine and champagne selection was top notch. As a certified sommelier, I especially appreciated the curated options and variety available. Overall, I gave La Noma 4 stars because while I enjoyed the meal, my husband didn't love the pasta dish as much as I did. That said, we both agreed this is absolutely a must-visit spot before or after a movie at the nearby iPic Theater. Between the ambiance, attentive service, extensive wine and champagne list, and diverse menu options, this is definitely a restaurant we'll return to. "Because dining is more than food - it's flavor, style and elegance that should be savored one bite at a time." - AMC

To be considerate of the staff and timing, we looked over the menu on the way there so we would be ready to order immediately upon being seated. However, after being seated and brought water, it took nearly 20 minutes before a server even came to our table to provide the complimentary bread and take our order. It's also important to note that this was one of the last reservation slots of the night, and there were only about 4-5 occupied tables in the restaurant. Two of those tables seemed to just be there for drinks, yet every other table was being attended to and served regularly while our table was overlooked. We were the youngest of all the tables and dressed accordingly and they seemed to pay more attention to the table of men in button ups and suits. According to other reviews, seems like this isn't the first time they pick and choose who they want to provide good service for. We ordered a good amount of food which are shown in the pics below to be shared with 2 of my close friends and myself. Props to the bartender, the Espresso Martini from here has to be one of the best we've tried!! We ordered the steak Medium Rare, and received it back perfectly cooked. It was seasoned well but wish it came with a more generous serving of the veggies, The Oysters tasted very fresh and sweet which we also loved! Pastas were very flavorful but definitely way over priced for a serving enough for just one person unless you're planning to share everything family style. Ambiance of place is very nice and aesthetic and was pleased with the food, the only reason why this place is getting a 3/5 star is because of the service we had received. Note: They also add auto gratuity of 20%... which is another reason. For that I expect better service than what we received... it felt like there was little incentive to provide quality service when the tip was already guaranteed regardless of the overall experience. Hopefully next time we come back we will receive way better attentiveness.

Established in 1969 on the site of the former Bicycle Club, Giovanni's Bicycle Club features irresistible flavors of Italian cuisine from family recipes using the finest ingredients. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable but was not necessary on a Sunday. Upon entering this two-story building, my partner and I were greeted by the host, and a few patrons were enjoying their meal on two enclosed outside patio decks with fans in the summer, so we joined them. The windows could be raised for that inclement weather, and heaters turned on when needed. They do have a main dining room, with the front bar much fancier. A few small bicycle artifacts make the place memorable and unique. We decided on the Philly Cheesesteak and Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad. Complimentary bread with dipping oil started our meal. The food was tasty with a healthy portion. The price was a bit pricey. The service was friendly; our server was Buket. We could recommend this place.

Karden is a modern Korean restaurant that blends traditional Korean dishes with more contemporary…read morepresentations and a few fusion-inspired options. We walked into a dining room that feels noticeably more polished than a typical neighborhood Korean restaurant, with clean lines, warm lighting, and a layout that accommodates both smaller tables and larger groups without feeling cramped. The space strikes a comfortable balance between refined and approachable, making it equally suitable for a casual dinner or a larger gathering. The menu is extensive, covering everything from Korean barbecue and hearty stews to bibimbap, noodles, pancakes, and shareable dishes, giving plenty of variety without feeling unfocused. One of its biggest strengths is the quality and consistency of the food. Signature dishes like yukhoe, gamja-jeon, bibimbap, galbi tang, and naengmyeon are all well executed, with each dish arriving well composed and properly seasoned. The yukhoe had a clean, fresh flavor with a silky texture, and the gamja-jeon offered a crisp exterior with a soft, savory interior that paired well with the dipping sauce. Some of the more modern offerings, including creamy udon and Korean-inspired pasta dishes, provide something a little different without straying too far from the restaurant's roots, and the creamy udon had a rich, velvety sauce that clung to the noodles without overwhelming them. Portions are generous across much of the menu, making many dishes easy to share, and the banchan rounds out the meal well, with a selection of sides that offer a fresh, tangy contrast to the richer main dishes. The atmosphere adds to the experience. The space feels clean, contemporary, and more refined than many Korean restaurants without becoming overly formal, and the energy of the room stays comfortable even when the dining room fills up. Service is generally friendly and attentive, although during busier periods it can occasionally slow down, especially with larger dining rooms to manage. The staff checked in at the right moments and kept the pacing of the meal steady, but the flow can vary depending on the volume of tables. It is priced a bit higher than many nearby Korean restaurants, but the combination of quality ingredients, presentation, portion sizes, and the overall dining environment helps justify the cost. Reservations can be helpful during peak dinner hours, particularly on weekends, and larger groups will appreciate the spacious seating options. Karden offers a polished take on Korean dining without losing the flavors that make the cuisine so enjoyable. The diverse menu, generous portions, and elevated atmosphere make it a great option whether you are looking for traditional Korean comfort food or something with a more modern twist. It is the kind of restaurant that is easy to return to because there are still plenty of dishes worth trying on future visits, and the balance of tradition and creativity keeps the experience feeling both familiar and fresh.

KARDEN @ Ridgefield…read more A great place for girls' gathering with its modern ambience and somewhat fusion dishes. We had Cream udong with cod roe : Not too thick cream and with the salty cod roe, it gave the umami. (But, quite unfamiliar with squash and eggplant in it.) Stir fried pork with octopus ($47 for 2) Large hot pan and stir fried onions to give it sweetness. Looks very spicy but very tolerant level. After we were half way through, they asked if we wanted to fry some rice. (Additional charge $9) Then the beef tartare with buckwheat noodles. I have always loved their beef tartare and it was well complemented with the noodle and veggies ($38).
